The Last Daughter of Krypton OOC

I've been reading it for a while now so I was only wondering and can play any thing you actually need.

So as not to ignore you, Ray, I'm not sure.

We're still picking up the pieces from a mini-hiatus.

Tears is goddess and queen of this thread and it'll ultimately be her decision if you join or as whom. We have a lot of bases covered, character-wise. A lot.

But it's cool that you've enjoyed the thread so far.

Sorry to have kept you waiting, Sun God.

But you gave me goosebumps with that last line.

Also, "Mersday." XD

What say when "Legion" picks up again, someone namedrops there being a new weekday?

We could always replace Monday; that's already named after Lunar...

I've edited Post #2095 to reflect the presence of the little church in which Varshanka's newcomer "Miss Kristopheles" sought refuge before immolating a dude.

Var, is it okay that it be dedicated to Saint Stephen? He's a personal favourite of mine, and the patron saint of martyrs and builders, and it's kind of an inside joke with another thread of ours I dearly loved.

Okay well I'm back from my week-long holiday. Have a few days off before I have to start working again so I should have plenty of time to get some posts out. I missed you all very, very much.

As Chas mentioned there are quite a few mainstream characters already covered, but there are still many more left to explore. Hit me up with your idea(s) and we'll get things sorted.

I will try to be back and active assuming I can once we hit Ky.

On the Eastern flight, we are nestled in a hotel in Albuquerque, listening to the down pour. Thunder and lightning have stopped (hence my being online.).

Works for me.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me
I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I've been a wild rover for many a year
And I spent all my money on whiskey and beer,
And now I'm returning with gold in great store
And I never will play the wild rover no more.

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never no more,
Will I play the wild rover
No never no more.

I went to an ale-house I used to frequent
And I told the landlady my money was spent.
I asked her for credit, she answered me "nay
Such a custom as yours I could have any day."

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never no more,
Will I play the wild rover
No never no more.

I took from my pocket ten sovereigns bright
And the landlady's eyes opened wide with delight.
She said "I have whiskey and wines of the best
And the words that I spoke sure were only in jest."

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never no more,
Will I play the wild rover
No never no more.

I'll go home to my parents, confess what I've done
And I'll ask them to pardon their prodigal son.
And if they caress (forgive) me as ofttimes before
Sure I never will play the wild rover no more.

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never no more,
Will I play the wild rover
No never no more.

I'll keep as safe as I can.

Amarillo. Great damned steak dinner. Cheesy as hell restaurant and hotel, but hell the kids liked the place and I got to make friends with a beauty of a grey mare at the horse hospital too.

Oklahoma is no great shakes. Tomorrow I focus on the drive and sleeping when we hit the Hotel. I have no interest in anything to do with my home state of Arkansaw.

You know what else is good for cobwebs?

MORE AWESOME IRISH MUSIC!

MacKeel - "Star of The County Down"

In Banbridge Town in the County Down
One morning last July,
From a boreen green came a sweet colleen
And she smiled as she passed me by.
She looked so sweet from her two bare feet
To the sheen of her nut brown hair.
Such a coaxing elf, sure I shook myself
For to see I was really there.

From Bantry Bay up to Derry Quay and
From Galway to Dublin Town,
No maid I've seen like the brown colleen
That I met at the County Down.

As she onward sped, sure I shook my head,
And I looked with a feelin' rare,
And I says, says I, to a passer-by,
"Who's the maid with the nut brown hair?"
He smiled at me and he says, says he,
"That's the gem of Ireland crown.
Young Rosie McCann from the banks of the Bann,
She's the star of the County Down."

From Bantry Bay up to Derry Quay and
From Galway to Dublin Town,
No maid I've seen like the brown colleen
That I met at the County Down.

At the Harvest Fair she'll be surely there
And I'll dress in my Sunday clothes,
With my hat cocked right and my shoes shone bright
For a smile from my nut brown rose.
No pipe I'll smoke, no horse I'll yoke
Till my plough turns rust coloured brown.
Till a smiling bride by my own fireside
Sits the star of the County Down.
