The Last Daughter of Krypton OOC

Many men came here as soldiers
Many men will pass this way
Many men will count the hours
As they live the longest day
Many men are tired and weary
Many men are here to stay
Many men won't see the sunset
When it ends the longest day
The longest day the longest day
This will be the longest day
Filled with hopes and filled with fears
Filled with blood and sweat and tears
Many men the mighty thousands
Many men to victory
Marching on right into battle
In the longest day in history

Men that are men again: Who goes home?
Tocsin and trumpeter! Who goes home?
For there's blood on the grass and blood on the foam,
And blood on the body, when Man comes home.
And a voice valedictory: Who is for victory?
Who is for liberty?
Who goes home?

-from "Who Goes Home?" by G.K. Chesterton.

Thanks for the assist Chas. saved me the trouble of limping in & grabbing someone for help

Alfred is just beginning to realise how uniquely qualified he is to be Bruce's Gentleman. And, by extension, a Gentleman to Bruce's Friends.

Alfred is to The Outsiders as Jarvis is to The Avengers.

(& I am a practical joker. heck, I got a burn permit signed by teh mayor of our small town to light my mom's 50th birthday cake!)

I've always enjoyed practical jokes in concept more than practise. :: chuckles ::

I've been the butt of too many of them to enjoy them thoroughly.

But! Right now we are enjoying them in concept, and that is fun indeed!

It seems to me, Lord of The Most High Sun, highly appropriate for you to be referencing "Big Trouble in Little China" when we've got a passel of team-mates headed for Bigger Trouble in Actual China.

"...and besides that, it's all in the reflexes."

That's right Chas...that's right.

Did you bring your Six Demon Bag?

What's in that, you ask?

"Lightning, fire, all that kind of thing."

kiddo isn't having any better day.

grand total of free time after getting home way late, eating takeout (no way I was cooking) & struggling through homework: 15 minutes until bathtime, then 45 minutes from bath to bed.

a almost 7 year old should have more time than that to play!

:(

sad daddy.
