I saw him turning and facing me... his eyes a glowing yellow as he approached me. My whole body trembled fiercly, I'd heard they were erotic... but that was fiction... this was reality. Not some steamy Anne Rice novel... he was going to do this to me.

I let my hands drop to my sides as I shifted my weight between my feet. My lips trembled softly, half parted as I felt him drawing nearer. A quick glance to my side to look at Lexi, to make sure I remembered her as I saw her with mortal eyes. Because I would die. Sure I'd be reborn... but I'd have to die first. And in a sense this is the last time I'll really see her. It's too bad we didn't have time to really be together... to get to know eachother... to become friends... and of course... lovers.

I was so scared but I hid it as well as I could. I heard what they were saying but it hardly registered. I closed my eyes then opened them again. I had to do something.

"Eat stake bastard!"

I had wriggled free and found a piece of sharp wood. I launched myself at him plunging the wood in the area I thought his black heart might be.

I Gasped as the stake entered.It JUST missed my heart.I pulled it out with a laugh and said"Just a little to far to the right," and slap her with almost all of my strength sending her across the room.

I turned to oksana and said,"Where was i,"...

I jumped back as I saw her rise suddenly lunging at the dark man. He'll kill her. That was my first and immediate thought, until I saw the stake sink deep into his flesh, fresh blood surrounding it.

"Don't..."

His hand connected with her face hard and she was acrossed the room.

"Lexi!"

I went to go for her but I felt my entire body freeze, not by my own will... but by his. I surrendered and turned to face him. If I had found him imposing before, now how much more so he was approaching me, his face twisted in anger, and evil, blood dripping from his wound. But not the blood of the living, no fresh river of red, it was as the river of styx, flowing black and cold. I shuddered as he approached, his fangs now easily visible.

I advanced towards oksana.I pulled her into my strong arms and started to lean towards her neck."Itll be over soon," i said...

I felt his icy cold touch on my neck contrasted by his hot breath as he tried to comfort me.

It will be all over soon

It certainly would, everything would be over. My life, my friends, my job (Not that it was ever much...) Everything would be over... My eyes shifted briefly towards Alex and a tear filled it...

Our relationship would be over before it had even began. My eyes sunk to the floor, I had no choice but to resign to my fate.


Adrian:

I came in dragging a young man behind me, he was cursing wildly and I punched him hard knocking him to the ground. He wasn't completely unconcious but partially, enough to get the jist of what was going on and he was quite frightened. I followed his eyes to see what scared him that much and there was my master, his fangs bared hovering over the girl, Oksana. I looked towards the wall and noticed Alex laying against the floor. Oh I hoped I could have her soon.

Oksana:

I let out a small cry as I felt his teeth drive down into the milky flesh of my neck, piercing the skin to the artery. My hands immediately reacting, clutching against his waist for support as I felt the pain flood through every part of my body, and my legs go weak. Shivering I felt the life draining out of me. My eyes rolled back and I went limp in his arms, but he continued to feed.

I knew what it was to die at that moment. But that was not the end fo it I began to wake, and the moment I did I felt his fangs still embeded in me... but they caused no pain. Instead I felt a fire raging through my body, filling every vein with an indestructable force. My energy was higher than it ever been, and I felt powerful, indestructable... alive. Really Alive.

Though that was far from the truth, as I would never be... alive again. As his fangs pulled back and our connection broke I felt something else... like hunger but deeper, stronger... as if my life was ebbing though it wasn't possible that it was. At that moment my eyes fell to the man Adrian had brought in. My face was not my own as I stared eagerly at him... he was no longer a human to me... but he was what I wanted. The fear oozing from his features intoxicated me and I knew i had to take him... to feed on him... to drink his life scource. I was not Oksana anymore... I was something more, so much more.

Lexi

Out cold... nightmarish dreams plagueing her cold mind. She hears and sees nothing for the moment.

I smiled watching her aproach the young fallen man."He is all yours," i whisper in her ear.I wipe whats left of her blood from my lips,i turn to armand,"wake the other girl," i said.....

First Bite

Oksana:

'He is all yours.'

My eyes narrowed as I felt something else, something foreign taking over my body. I stepped forward cooly, and with such a confidence I had never had before. The man before me quivered and cried out in desperation, he tried to escape to get around Armand, anything but I knew there was nothing he could do.

I reached him and he fought back, but I cought a hand and held it still. All his struggling couldn't pull the hand away, a new strength filled my arms as I jerked him to me, catching him in my arms neck craned. My mouth opened and my new fangs touched his skin.

I breathed deep, taking in the scent of fear that exuded from him like a rabbit in a fox' grasp. It was delicious. With my toung I traced over the strained carotid, I could even smell the vital fluids running below it. For a second my eyes flickered in their fiercness, and mine met his. With a soft whispered apology I sunk my teeth into his flesh.

As the fluid flooded my mouth I began to drink with a fierce urgency, sucking desperately at it filling my body with the much needed sustinence. His quivering body soon fell still in my arms, and still I drunk. Tasting the scent of death, he was so close and I paused taking it in. Marveling at the process... one I would never experience. Then with a swift move of my hands, I snapped his neck to end his suffering, and finished him off. Dropping him lifeless to the floor....


Armand:

He watched in amusement as the man ran towards the girl, crying out for her in desperation. He'd allready tried to make his exit past me, but of course, that was hopeless as he was much smaller.

"Wake the other girl.'

Snickering I nodded and went to her just as Oksana captured her prey. I grabbed Lexi by both wrists and jerked her up suddenly my face embedding in her gorgeous cleavage. She was of course instantly awake and struggling to escape. But to no avail... well that is until her knee found my own sensative spot and I tossed her roughly to the wall. Cursing as she crumpled...

"Damn bitch..."

I struggled as I saw what was happening with Oksana, if she was still Oksana and the prey she had sucked dry.

"Oh No.. Oksana.."

I growled fiercely at the monster who held me.

"Let me go you horny trash."

I kicked him where it counted. He sent me flying into the wall. Quickly then I stood and hurried to Oksanas side.

"What are you doing? You.. killed...that stranger. You dont have to kill them to be sustained...."

I shut up then knowing they would probably laugh at that.

But I knew it was a fact...

'Oh No.. Oksana..'

I heard her cries and immediately turned to look. Seeing her struggling and hit the wall. I wiped at my mouth with my hand as she came running towards me. Then my eyes turned downwards, staring at the bright red stain accrossed my arm... then down towards the body of the man. An innocent I'd never known, and I'd killed him... I'd enjoyed taking the life from him.

'What are you doing? You.. killed...that stranger. You dont have to kill them to be sustained...."'

I felt tears welling up, I couldn't help it. I'd been so hungry... I couldn't help it. I turned from her in shame wrapping my arms around me. I felt my blood surging like I'd just finished a race my entire body felt younger and stronger than ever, but my heart ached... and the tears fell. Shame and pride. Tears and strength. Confict was the one sure thing I felt.

At first i was angry at Lexis interference.Then I came to a realization.I sigh and say "Shes right oksana,you didnt have to kill him,".I actually felt remorse for this.

I felt a flicker of humanity Id long but lost.

I felt love so strong Id allmost came to tears radiate from lexi.As well as fear.Then i stood in an akward silence...

It seemed impossible that I had ran up to someone in concern when they had just killed someone. But I was worried about her truely worried and Draven had agreed with me.

"I..guess you couldnt help it."

I nibbled at my lower lip as we embraced a moment. What was I to do now. It was obvious that she would now have to live differently, I almost choked as the word "live" crossed my thoughts.

I turned to Draven and sighed.

"I cant let her stay in a warehouse. Its to dangerous. I own a cabin in the mountains. Its remote but close to the city as well. It should suit her..and you if you insist. Its only three hours from here. Plenty time to get there before dawn. And Ill bing her stuff later."

I turned to Oksana again for her approval.

I heard Dravens voice and shivered slightly, I hadn't... he confirmed it. But I didn't know what had come over me... I just... felt so alive, it all felt so right. But I knew it was wrong. I knew it and had done it all the same. I bowed my head miserably, the mixed feelings raging in me.

'I..guess you couldnt help it.'

That was no excuse. What if I did something like that to Lexi... knew I didn't want to... knew it was wrong but hurt her all the same. I shook my head, my mind picturing her lying in my arms, together, two vampires... her blood fresh on my lips.

I shook my head trying to shake away the horrible thoughts. And when I opened my eyes they were all looking at me expectantly. My lower lip quivered, as if I was going to say something. But no words came out.. I hadn't even heard what was being said. A tear fell and I turned from them sinking to my knees.

"I don't want to hurt you..."

It was almost a whisper, she may not have even heard it, but I was scared. I wanted her to be with me so bad... what if I couldn't control myself.. my lust... what if.

I nodded in silent approval.I felt bad for tearing them apart the way I did. "We should be off sooon then,"......

Her wispered words were barely heard to me but I heard them.

"Oksana we should go now. We will worry about the rest later."

I hoped my keys were still in my pocket. Reaching down I found they indeed were still there. My body ached from being slammed into the wall and being the only one truely alive in this small group was disturbing. I glanced coldly at Armand.

"Must that..creature...come also?"

I looked at Draven then, no longer as an enemy but as an important source of information. We needed him now to show Oksana what to do and I had little doubt he would.

'Oksana we should go now. We will worry about the rest later.'

I heard her voice, tender and caring... but I was scared. I felt a soft touch on my shoulder and I rose slowly nodding unable to speak. My eyes passed over the young man, lying dead on the ground, neck snapped and eyes ghostly, blank, the stare of the dead. I shivered and turned from him tears threatening to begin emerging again.

I slowly moved towards her, but not near enough to touch, afriad of myself... afraid of what I might do.

Armand:

Armand cursed under his breath as she passed her ever irritating glare his direction. He flipped her off then crossed his arms acrossed his chest. How badly he wanted to just take her, to wipe that disgusted look off her face... turn it to pleasure... or pain... whichever. But the hopes of that were begining to wane...

I gave Armand a disgusted look."Yes he must come,but if he lays a hand on either of you that you dont want ill rip him apart," i said.This was my servant i know but it seemed like all he had on his mind was sex.

Armand:

Armand growled angrily, fucking wasn't the only thing he'd like to do to that Lexi broad. And what was happening to his master... so steely so cold... and now... all he was doing was caring... even for the mortal! Fuckin' hell, betrayed by his creator he shook his head. His eyes narowing and grumbling reluctantly,

"Yes Master..."

How he'd like to have told them all where to stick it and leave, but of course he couldn't. He turned and got the coffin irritatedly pushing it into the back of the truck he'd stolen for moving purposes. Then I picked up the body and moved it outside into the alley, planting a knife by the side and cutting the throat to deter the police...

"Everything's ready sir..."

Oksana:

I watched as Armand drug away the body, my heart ached for the young mans face, plastered in a look of fear, glazed and cold the look of death. I whispered softly,

"I'm sorry..."

I clenched my fist to stop my fingers trembling and wrapped my arms around myself shivering in the cold damp warehouse, I desperately wanted to get out of here. What I really wanted was to suddenly wake up from this horrible nightmare, to find my bedsheets wrapped around me, lying comfortably in Lexi's arms... but a gentle tug on my elbow towards the truck ended my daydream.
