The Lion's Princess (Closed for Asa)

As Makmood told all he knew of them she listened intently studying his expressions and words.

Priestess... They were a wild and Noble people... Their true name.lost to the ages as their numbers were seen less and less. They were always remembered as they walked through the fires of enemy camps before the slaughter. None were ever found dead that I ever remember hearing about. There were rumors that they trained their young by leaving them.in the wild to get back home enduring attacks be each other and other kids that had don the warrior intro before them. Male or female did not matter. They were every element of Egypt. You have felt it haven't you? When you have leapt into combat with the foreigner lion.

She sat there and thinking nodded.

Yes... It is like everything slowed or stood still around me...

Nefer woke, slowly, his body felt………..heavy…..like he’d been sedated. The first thing that came back to him was his smell, and he inhaled, Kyrie and Kyrah, Syrene. The soothing scent of Sekmet and Bast, slowly he cracked an eye, looking around. He was in….a..bed?, not his bed, what was wrong with him? Why couldn’t he remember anything, how’d he end up here? Opening both eyes he blinked, his vision fuzzy at first, he could feel his legs, toes, that’s good, his arms felt heavy, weighted down and he lifted them, staring at them as he clentched and unclentched his hands. A soft gasp brought his head around, too fast he realized, as his whole world spun and he felt nauseous, vision whirling until darkness took him again. The young servant having walked in to bring fresh linens and check on him rushed to his side, seeing he’d fallen unconscious quickly made her way to the Magi, sending them to the Priestess with new’s that Nefer had woken, if only briefly

Her words did not surprise Makmood as he simply nodded and smiled.

Yes priestess that is what I mean... yes... you may well be one of their blood.

A younger magi tilted his head in thought.

Could it be these Fire Warriors attacking her now to teach and train her having lost track of her for so long?

Makmood thought for a moment.

No it would not be their way to send wild animals or shifters and such they would not hide behind others... however if we could find any more of them it would be entertaining to see what they would do to those that attack her since she has no real clue of what all they would know easier.

Another Magi walked in telling her about Nefer as she stood and left the room as if no one was there and moved to his side.

Nefer woke again a short time later, a low growl of irriation mixed with pain rumbling from his chest, opening his eyes he stared at the ceiling, just staring, as his vision once again began to clear, the and he turned his head slower this time, looking to the far wall, then to the door as he heard his door quietly open, then close, and he sagged in relief, a faint smile creasing his lips “my……..love…..” he croaked, his throat raw, and dry and he winced from the pain of it “gods, it feels like Anubis dragged my body across every jagged rock in his domain on my way to hell” he coughed, trying to laugh “ok……that was dumb…….” He looked to hear, reaching for her slowly, barely catching his hand in hers “are……..you…….ok????”

Yes, I am fine... Are you alright?

She moved and got him some water the Goddesses not really thinking clearly about the mortal need of water for survival.

Makmood makes a compelling argument for how I have to be one of these Fire warriors. But we can discuss that later. How are you?

Yes, I am fine... Are you alright? he nodded some, taking the goblet of water and drinking it down to fast as he began to cough, then drank slower till he finished it, feeling like he could breath again, he listened to what she’d had to say, only half being able to process it at the minute but a slight frown marred his features for a moment, then faded as he relaxed back, his thumb lightly stroking the back of her hand, his golden eyes taking her in, checking her for injuries despite him being the one laid out on his back But we can discuss that later. How are you? “better, knowing you’re alright, what happened after………………………” he trailed off, again a frown marring his features as his memory blanked for a moment before things began to trickle back to him “What happened to Rham? I smell Syrene, Kyrie and Kyrah in here, the others?” he asked

They all killed Rham. They have also been checking on you while I was once more out cold I believe is the words they used. I was not lost in that deep sleep mind as long this time. Apparently, Rham and I fought as well once the Magi withdrew you from the room and then I felt it would be best for them to kill him I walked out and they killed him after I passed out as well.

She shrugged. but laid down by him curling close with a smile to make sure he was alright as well. Sekmet walked in seeing her.

Both of you awake this is good. I will speak with you seen Priestess. I have spoken with the Magi and the old one. Ra however still refuses to reveal any secrets he may or may not know and Thoth is hard pressed to find any proof that Makmood is anything but correct. Thoth can find nothing about you before you were found in the desert.

It was clear that this was not sitting well with Sekmet on some level

Nefer pressed close, nose flaring as he took in her scent, allowing himself to finally calm he listened quietly as she relayed what all happened after he had been knocked out by Rham. But hearing that she’d fought Rham to a standstill then allowed the other lioness’s to finish him off had him blinking in surprise. But he was just happy that she was safe. He closed his eyes, just listening to her soothing tones. His lips gently brushing across her neck as he kissed her, tasting her. The door opening causing his eyes to open as he looked up, body tensing for just a moment before the Scent and sight of the Goddess calmed him again. Both of you awake, this is good. I will speak with you soon Priestess. Nefer lifted his head from his female, frowning slightly as he watched her beginning to pace I have spoken with the Magi and the old one. Ra however still refuses to reveal any secrets he may or may not know he shifted slightly, “what does that mean? What does Ra have to do with this?” Thoth is hard pressed to find any proof that Makmood is anything but correct. And he cant find anything about you before you were found in the desert. “so still no answers?” he sighed, still too tired, and sore yet to keep his head lifted he laid back down, using his pillow to prop his head up slightly as he could almost feel his female thinking

Ra will never reveal what he knows as he has probably already forgotten. Cease worrying about questioning him Thoth will have to be our closest confirmation unless we find another of the Firewarriors.

She snuggled up with Nefer and smiled to him trying to reassure him.

Makmood is a wise man I have never heard of any reason to doubt him. HOnestly I do not care if I am one of them or not it holds little bearing on who I am now just that something set off my ability to protect myself and my people that is what I am curious about. Why did it not happen when the temple was attacked so long ago?

Sekmet nodded and walked off thinking as if forgetting she was talking to them.

Nefer just half listened, exhaustion slowly pulling at his consciousness he laid his head back down, burying his face in Tikara’s hair, letting the lulling tones of their voices as they spoke let him zone out. Laying soft kisses to her neck, his arms around her tightened some, just happy to have her near him again. HOnestly I do not care if I am one of them or not it holds little bearing on who I am now just that something set off my ability to protect myself and my people that is what I am curious about Nefer chuckled softly, “my female is such a badass” he quipped, trying on the phrase he’d picked up from one of the cheetahs, Sensing the soothing aura of the Goddess retreating he blinked, looking up as he watched her leave the room. Silence enveloping them again, both of them lost in thought

She closed her eyes to relax and rest of her own free will.

Nefer what do you think?

Nefer what do you think? he’d been idly stroking her back, his face buried in her hair, her question rousing him he blinked for a few minutes “i…………………I don’t know………” he pulled away slightly so that she could roll over and face him “I am as confused as they, there is still much I have yet to learn my Priestess, I have only been with you for 4 seasons” he smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes, taking her hands in his “with everything that has happened, im afraid that my lessons have been few and far between, learning the ways of combat, one problem after another” he ducked his head, feeling a flush of shame, his shaggy hair falling to cover his face “i…im sorry..”

Should I want to know if I am one of them or not?

She sighed and snuggled close.

I mean does it really matter? I have a good live and you and everything I could want or need

Should I want to know if I am one of them or not? Nefer considered that, his head canted to one side, eyes hidden behind his shaggy mane of hair “for years…….i thought I had wanted to know,” he said quietly, “the curiosity after the females and Rham arrived……” he trailed off for a bit “it feels like………….. I don’t know, like a blessing, the females have been good to me, but Rham……..” he trailed off again “I do, and don’t really want to know more, does that sound weird?” he said, lifting his eyes to look at her, I have a good life with you and everything I could want or need the compliment succeeded in bringing a blush to his cheeks, and he dipped his head, lips twitching into a smile “i……I’m glad “ Nefer looped an arm around her, rolling to his back he pulled her gently on top of him, hands caressing over her skin “My Priestess” he purred

You have a family that could be found. From what I understand of these people they would leave their children lost in the world to find their way home and to know how to kill and fight by the time they found them or die lost out in the wild somewhere. How early in life should this killing ability have activated? Why didn't it activate at the temple, when the only family I knew were being attacked and slaughtered?

She snuggled down and hugged him close and tight not sure she wanted to know anything else and wanted to forget what she knew. It was all overwhelming.

He didn’t have answers for her, and it wrecked him that she had so many questions that even he was sure he really didn’t want the answers to, so he did what he did best, he pulled her close, wrapping her tight in his arms as he kissed her neck with light fluttering kisses, then soft nips as he worked his way up her neck from her shoulder “I would give you everything of me my Priestess, to wipe the sadness from your eyes” he whispered softly, his body pressing against her, like they were made to fit together “all I can give you is me, all of me, Your Lion, your male, to use as you want, to explore, and touch, and love, for however long you want me” he cupped her cheek with one hand, and placed her hand to his chest with the other “use me to drown your sorrows my Priestess” he kissed her then

Pressing into the kiss she curled against him as she let go of all her worries about everything. Yes having those moments where she would black pout like that were frightening she would deal with it and go on. if more came of all of this then so be it if not then she would not question for now. Snuggling closer tangling her legs with his releasing more and more of the worry in her mind to allow them to have the pleasure that only the other one seemed to be able to offer. she was annoyed when there was a knock at the door.

Priestess... Makmood thinks that he can guide us to another Fire warrior... in the canyons around the great burial valley. Do you wish to go? Or what are your orders? The Magi will go or go with you as will the other felines.

The knock at the door caused him to snarl, but the minute the Priest entered their room without invitation Nefer’s blood boiled Priestess... Makmood thinks that he can guide us to another Fire warrior... his eyes glowing Nefer flat out Roared “GET OUT” the echo of his lion heavy in his words, fangs elongating as he rose above her, his body covering hers protectively and he took a modicum of satisfaction watching the priest trip over himself in fear and scuttle on hands and knees out of the room, a low growl turning into a gasp, then dissolving into hysterical giggles “oh gods, “ he buried his face into her neck” I cant believe I just did that” the image of the priests utterly shocked face still etched into his mind causing him laugh “im ….im going to have…to apologize” he said between chuckles “im sorry that was soo wrong of me…Mother Bast was right, the urge to protect you has grown stronger “he chuckled and nuzzled her neck

Nefer...

She bit her lip at the sight hearing all of what the priest had to say before terrified out of the room

Yes you will

She sighed shaking her head but smiled.

Please be nice to them.

Nefer... Please be nice to them. he tucked his head down, his fangs retracting as he hid behind his fall of hair cheeks tinged with a hint of red “just, with everything, “ his voice trailed off and he kissed her chin settling back down beside her, He too, lost in through of what little he’d heard the priest speak before he’d roared at him. “I will be beside you no matter what you choose my love, forever yours, “ he said, placing her hand over his heart as he looked at her, cupping her cheek with is other hand

Perhaps it might not be a bad idea I just don't know. I mean if it is a possible family even distance or just someone else from this "tribe" of people... maybe it could be a good thing?

She smiled to him leaning forward kissing him softly.

Perhaps it might not be a bad idea I just don't know. Nefer purred when she leaned up to kiss him, stroking his hands down her arms a soft shiver as he wiggled under her, brows furrowing slightly as he cocked his head, running his hands through her hair “we can find out come morning my Priestess, tonight lets just be at peace“ he smiled, kneading her neck like the cat he was, kissing her again “Something tells me there is more to come yet again, “ he sighed, his nose flaring as he took in her scent, taking comfort from it as it filled his lungs, a deep purr rumbling within his chest

More and more as life always does in some way or another.

She snuggled her hands resting over his chest as she laid there. Eyes closing as she listened to his purr and snuggled close.

Perhaps food would be a good idea eventually.

Her voice was soft and contented as she laid there snuggled close.

Perhaps food would be a good idea eventually. Nefer blinked, then blushed, “umm, yeaa” he chuckled “the food went cold didn’t it?” he shifted slightly, groaning as he stretched “I shall get us something fresh” he said quietly, still smiling, as he rose from the bed, slipping his shirt on he bowed, watching her for a moment as she stretched out then slipped out of their room. Making a quick detour to the priest’s wing and spoke quietly with several of the priests before making his way to the kitchen, only a handful of servants still around they quickly made up some light snacks, fruits and a couple sandwichs, he thanked them and returned to their room, smiling “most of the staff was retiring for the night, but they were happy to make us up something fresh” he laid the tray on their nightstand as he removed the tray, various fruits and sweets and several small sandwichs, he picked a strawberry and took a bite, growling at the sweet juicy taste, leaning down and kissing her, sharing the sweetness with her

She had not meant for him to go she knew someone would have come to check on them soon enough they always did but smiled as he walked back in with food.

You did not have to go but thank you love.

Hearing they were retiring for the night she wondered how late it truly was and snuggled with him as they snacked. A playful smile as he shared the juicy flavor of the strawberry in a kiss.

Mmm
