I just stumbled across this thread, May I first say I'm so sorry that you had to endure such tragedy. It never really hits home until a "family" member goes through it and your lit family loves you.

I too have battled with depression for years, I've accepted it not as a mental problem but a disease. I can't control the chemicals that ame things wrong, but I can understand how to not let it pull me down. It's always lurking in the shadows for me, sometimes calling out to me to remind me that it is still there, but I choose to ignore it and see it for the beast that it is.

There is a good site that helped me:
wing of madness.com it has a lot of information and it's amazing when you see that so many others are just like us.
Keep up with your meds, that's very important! and If you ever feel like you're starting to slip, please PM me and we'll get through it together.

I'm sending you a real big, tight, crushing hug and a pat on the back for being able to rise above everything at this point.

Please keep your family here posted on your progress and know we are behind you all the way.

Hey, dunno what I did to miss this thread lately, but the good news passed me by. Great to see that you are getting it together.

Aim for that job now, and a paycheck or two, so that we can see you here again. The cheap-ass but fully functional PC I'm on right now cost me approx £50 on a flea market (in Glasgow of all places) last year, so it's not all that much money really. Net access might be a tougher cookie. I don't know the UK market on that.

The computer I managed to get is quite basic, but it will do for my writing. If anyone out there has a half decent display card or mother board (as this one's only 350mhz) I'd appreciate any help to make it a little better.

Welcome back. Of course you don't know me, had to change my name following the dreadful bloodbath that occured a couple of weeks ago. It was awful, I gather they are still looking for bits of AH scattered across the other Forum. Damppanties is still hiding under her duvet, shock no doubt.

The girls put on a great Gosling display, pity you missed that - they only had one feather to share between them. It was a version of Swan Lake the like of which can only be pictured in a distorted mind, but hey, thats what were here for.

Oh and Svenskaflika has a shop, apparantly you can order almost anything, but she charges extra for personal delivery.

I meant to answer this before now, but forgot. The one thing that I truly loved after getting a bed was that nights sleep. I slept for ten hours straight, and when I awoke I refused to move for another hour. lol
