The Meeting Place

After a relaxing day like today, I'm sure by tomorrow you'll be feeling like the 18 year old you are. :rose:

18! Oh my god! I don't know if I'd ever want to be 18 again. LOL Hmm, on second thought that wouldn't be too bad. I was happy, cocky, smart and had my whole life ahead of me...

Yeah, I'd even take 22 or 24. Also cocky, well, I thought I was smart, and I thought the world would be mine. Now, well now. . . .

Damn, now I need another beer and a comedy to watch. If not a comedy then something very violent. No, I better not mention the violent thing or I'll have people coming to get me. It's too bad I just recently saw The Producers, both versions.

Would you believe that I have a few hundred DVD's and I've only watched about a 10th of them?

My apologies for the long delay. I had to make a quick trip to the mall.

Habitual DVD collector? Any specific genre you're collecting or is it a hodge podge?

You definitely need to tell us the story behind it and why you've seen so few.

It's a total hodgepodge. Thrillers, romance, horror, sci-fi, comedy, a little of everything. I have 3 teenagers in my house, two girls and one boy, does that explain it? As for why I've seen so few, most of them I don't buy for myself and I have to be in the mood to watch tv. The other reason is that we have a game system on the TV in our livingroom and the kids are on it playing a lot. Hubby is in the bedroom sleeping and I never watch TV in there anyway, so I just have my computer which no one else is even allowed to use let alone touch.

Well I don't have that many, maybe a few dozen DVD's and out those I've watched maybe 6 or 7 of them.

That definitely explains it. Lucky, you can keep the computer to yourself. It's hard to share one. I usually have mine to myself since my wife never uses it, but when my daughters are home, I have to share. Always have to remember not to leave the Lit page up.

Uh huh, but you see my kids have my old computer, mom has the new one! They've killed that thing so often that I've lost count how many times I've had to re-install Windows on it and I have so many adware and spyware and virus scanners on it, that it's been running fine for them now.

My collection seems to have grown, but not to the hundreds. Like you, probably a few dozen. I used to have a laser disk player. Well, I still do - I have a dvd and laser disk combined player. So I also have a few laser disks.

I haven't seen any of mine as much as you have. I get Netflix and I find I'm having a tough time even getting to watch one of the rented movies a week. It wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't on Lit so much.

My excuse is that I work two jobs and the 2nd one is at an electronics store, and I work on new release day, so...... I give them back my paycheck basically.

Hehehehehe, but as long as you enjoy your trouble, it's good ;)

I'm okay.... Just breathing and the like.....

Some trouble is good. The trouble I'm having lately isn't so good though, but I'll get through it.

I see a bit of cleverness here. When you want a new computer you just say "The kids need a better computer for school" and so you give them yours while you get an even better one. Very clever.

I know LIT is addictive.... I'm on more now than I use to be. I use it as a stress relief.
