And his proclaimation of Trump as the "Messiah" is sacreligious to the core and deeply offensive to real Christians.

I would reccommend he read the Bible and read what Jesus said about False Messiahs, and particularly about immoral and corrupt mortals proclaiming themselves as messiahs. Start with Mathew chapter 24 verse 24, and 2nd Thessallonians, chapter 2 verse 7. Of course, much like Trump himself, his followers don't actually read the Bible, they just like to claim they do.
