The Motorcycle Pic Thread

my first bike was a 76 honda Knighthawk lol not as old as your photos but it was great bike

Mmmmm sporty crotch rockets, now we are talking. How about classic sporty bikes Mollie? :D

I lusted after the V4 Honda's through high school (I WILL own an RC30 one day!) but the last bike they made that had the tiniest bit of passion in it was the first Gen VFR. Something about the Viffers always rubbed something in me the right way. And the 1993 Pearl White is just gorgeous in person.

The Fireblades...meh, I always liked the R1's more, and the Hammer Of Thor insanity that is the ZX-10...<drool>...especially the crazy psycho bitch 04-05 ZX-10. But something about the "less is more" minimalism of the 1st Gen R1 just ticks all my sporty boxes. And I'll take carbs over fuel injection, just because I like working on my own bikes. Without a laptop.

The R1... I like the look of it, and it sounds sexy as hell.

But sadly, around this part of the world they have been purchased by the kind of people who get a license when they seem to be about 12, go out and buy the fastest thing they can with little knowledge of how to control it, and almost single-handedly give bikers a bad name.

A friend of mine who died a few years back absolutely adored the ZX-12... He was mental, the bike suited him. :)

why thank you, Jerry ;). care to know a secret? i've never been on a motorcycle in my life; they scare me, but i admire them from afar and love a nice looking bike.

They scare me too, that's part of why I need to ride.

We were out last Sunday. I have never, ever in my life, experienced cold like that. I was shivering so badly that my husband thought I was moving around on the back (which I never do) and he couldn't understand why he felt motion. I was wearing long underwear, too...I really, really need to invest in a pair of chaps!

I almost bought a buddy's ZX-12, absolutely mental is right. But they are a HUGE PITA to work on, it has a funny frame that passes right over top of the motor instead of on either side, so working on one doing simple things like changing a spark plug takes three times as much dicking around. Meh.

My next bike is either going to be either an FZ-1 or a ZRex. Always liked the ZRX1200's, and those Kwack motors have a great growl to them.

Heh, don't think I have the stones to be seen on Mollie's other ride. :D
