The Neighborhood (Open)

"er, er.....im sorry miss tori, you must think im some sort of pervert." With that mark turned around and started to walk away knowing hed blown his chance with her. God what did he think, that a beautiful young woman like that would be interested in and old man like him.

He was halfway home by the time she caught up with him.

Toni Tomson

"Don't be silly," she said, grabbing hold of his arm, "And don't call me 'Miss Toni' again. Look, I know you didn't mean to be rude, perhaps we are just getting off on the wrong foot."

She remembered for a moment her own father, and how very much she missed him. So wise, so supportive. What if he had been in Mark's position? Would she have liked the idea of some woman treating him in such a fashion.

"Listen, why don't we get another drink and start over, okay?"

Mark smiled at Toni. He couldnt believe his luck. Hey! the old boys still got it! The smile was more directed to himself. Well, if hed got this far, may be he can go a little farther.

"thanks, id like that a lot. But do you mind if we go somewhere quiet? id rather not go back to the crowd."

Toni Tomson

She was beginning to like him more and more. Once he lost that fumbling "little boy" attitude and began to assert himself, Mark was proving to be an interesting person.

"Well," she replied, "My house is right over there, but there's a good chance my brother is home, and he's... not quite right in the head." God, she hated talking about him, but people had to know. Ever since the accident took their parents, perhaps even before, there was something odd about Greg.

"So, any suggestions?"

"Lets go over to mine then. I live alone so there'd be no one to disturb us."

He could believe the words even as they came out of his mouth. This just wasnt like him. But what the fuck, it seemed to be getting him somewhere.

Mark was a little worried about her brother though. He'd heard stories of how he'd fly off the handle at the slightest provocation. Best stay well clear of him he thought to himself.

Toni Tomson

No one to disturb us? Toni thought, and felt a little tingle between her legs. It had been awhile, could tonight be the night? Was she ready for this? A man so much older, and a neighbor to boot? What if she didn't like him afterwards, how could she get away from him, living in the same neighborhood and all?

She wished there was someone she could ask. Tess, maybe, but too late for that. She had to make up her mind for herself. And she did.

"Sounds cool," she smiled at him, "lead on, good sir."

mark pushed out his arm so that Toni could link her arm in with his. in a couple of minutes he was opening the front door and holding it open for her. as she passed him he could swear she brushed her hand across the front of his jeans. this girl was incredible.

"go through the door on the left and take a seat. you'll have to excuse the mess, i really havent got myself completely sorted since i moved in." i called out as i made my way to the fridge.

"whatll you drink? ive got beers or beers"

Toni Tomson

"Well, then, let's see," she giggled, "I think I'll have a beer!"

She sat on the couch and looked around. The man was in no hurry to unpack, that was obvious as boxes still sat, unopened on the floor.

"How long did you say you've been here?" she asked.

mark came back with a couple of cold beers and sat down on the floor, leaning against one of the boxes. He onlyhad one armchair and toni was sitting in it. he handed her a beer.

"a couple of months. hey, i know where everything is at least.....it in one of these boxes."

marks position, on the floor opposite toni, gave him a great view up the leg of her shorts. and hed be damned if there wasnt a small damp spot at the crotch of her shorts. god this girl was hot.

mark edged himself closer to her so he was sitting at her feet listening to her talk about her parents accident and how she was looking after the family now. it was a few seconds before he realised she had stopped talking......hed just been staring at her face.

"im sorry toni, it didnt strike me outside just how beautiful you are."

Toni Tomson

His words made her shiver. In the dim light, he didn't look old, he looked desirable. Clean it up, sister she thought.

"So, how long has it been?" she asked him, "Since your divorce, I mean." She felt her face redden. Oh God! What was she doing?

"Six months. And that answers both your questions."

I could see her face redden even more despite the poor lighting (jesus, i live in a hole dont i??).

"But im hoping to change one of those answers soon."

Toni Tomson

"Oh?" She asked, teasingly, "Planning on getting back with your wife?" She sawthe hurt expression on his face and realize her joke was cruel.

"I'm sorry, Mark," she apologized, and reached out to pat his knee.

mark took her hand before it reached his knee and held it. he looked up at her.

"if someone had told me this morning that i would be sharing beers with a beautiful young woman in this dump of a house id have told them they are mad. now that it has happened.....i dont want to let you go."

mark kissed the palm of her hand, savoring her taste, her smell, her feel...........

Barry

Barry watched as she disappeared into the crowd.

"Ah...the hell with her." He said as he went back to his friends.

The night went on more or less as any other party usually does. Just the guys knocking back a couple of beers, while chatting about work and women. This went on for about an hour, until one of Barry's friends, Daniel, noticed Tess lying down on her porch.

"Hey Barry. Isn't that the girl that you were talking to before?" He said pointing over to her.

"Yeah. So what?" Barry shrugged and took a sip of his drink.

"Looks like she has no where to go and shes drunk. Why don't you go over there."

"And do what? You saw how she was talking to me before." Barry said starting to feel slightly irritated by Daniel's constant nagging.

"I don't know. Help her out or something. Its better than leaving..."

"ALRIGHT! I'll go. Just shut up already. God...you sound like my fucking mom."

No longer listening to Daniel's rambling, Barry made his way over to Tess. He started to pat around her thighs and buttocks in search of her keys.

"Damnit. Where the hell are your house keys?" Barry's question was answered with gibberish.

"Great! What the hell am I suppose to do now?"

After pondering the situation for a moment, he picked her up and carried her back to his house. Unsure of what to do with her, he dropped her on the couch in the living room and went upstairs. Perhaps a nice warm shower would help him think.

Tess awoke on a couch. Didn't feel like her couch. It was dark. She fumbled around for the light on her endtable. But there was no endtable. Was she dreaming? Suddenly, she realized that the house, which was slowly becoming visible to her eyes, was not her house.

Where was she? She looked down. She still had her clothes on, and that was good. She stumbled around until she found a light switch. She found her way to the kitchen and looked out the window. And saw...HER KITCHEN WINDOW! She was in HIS house. Surely, even drunk he couldn't lure her to his...well, his living room.

She heard water running. He must be taking a shower. She slipped out the door and headed to her house. Digging into her pocket, she remembered. She had locked herself out. Damn it! reluctantly, she headed back over to the jerk's house. Maybe if she just acted like she was sleeping, she could make it out of the house in the morning and ask Toni to call a locksmith.

She reached the door, and to her horror, it was locked. What in holy hell should she do now? She crept around to the back door and tried it. Locked. She circled the house and found a window she could crawl in.

Hoisting herself up on the ledge, she nearly tumbled into the room. She stood up, brushed herself off, and turned to hear a chuckle.

"Shit," she mumbled.

"Haha...just couldn't help yourself could you? I bet you probably faked being drunk just to get into my house, so you could sneak a peek at me naked. I can't believe I was actually stupid enough to bring you into my house." Barry said through the shower curtains.

Before she could respond, the sound of flowing water stopped as Barry got out of the shower to reach for his towel giving her a FULL view.

"Well? What are you still doing here? Your little game is over, so why don't you just go home."

She would have responded right away, but she couldn't. Why did he have to be so goddamned sexy? Luckily, he wrapped the towel around him, and she couldn't see the one part of him she didn't hate.

"For your information," she slurred, still a bit drunk, "I never asked for you to take me into your house? If anyone is playing a game, it's you. What did you intend to do with me once you got me here, huh? For your fucking information, you big ass bully, I am locked out of my house, and I didn't know where else to go. Unfortunately, I didn't count on having to come back here and your door was locked. This was the only way I could get in. If I could undo it, I would. Hell, I'd rather sleep on my porch than sleep in your goddamn house!"

She really HAD to stop cussing.

She noticed that he was not looking at her in the eye. In fact, he was looking at the part of her that was heaving with anger.

Shit! His hungry gase on her chest made her horny. Why was it that you could hate someone and still get turned on?

"Well EXCUSE ME for having a heart! And if I did really want to do something to you, I would of done it already, so I suggest you better start treating me a little nicer unless you want to find your ass sleeping outside!" he yelled back.

It was getting harder and harder to keep his focus on her eyes, instead of her chest. The angrier she got, the more likely it seemed that her breasts would just rip through her tanktop.

As much as he was trying to fight off his growing sexual desire, he could not control the flurry of activity going on under his towel. And to make a bad situation worst, she noticed him staring at her chest. Oh shit! In an attempt to cover up his growing erection, he turned around and went for the door trying to escape.

She raced after him, not willing to give up her tirade so quickly. If she were honest with herself, she would have said that the arguing was a bit exhillarating.

"And furthermore! Perhaps I would have more concern for whether I woke you up in the morning if you would not wake me up at three in the morning with your fucking car that needs a new muffler, and if you would turn out your goddamn porchlight that shines in my eyes at three in the morning! And yes, while it might be kind of you to have taken me in, nothing in your recent behavior gives me any reason to believe that I owe you anything. If you would rather I slept outside, I WILL you ignorant..." She stopped herself before she said the word fuck. Maybe she was going a little too far, but the jerk set off explosions in her brain.

And to top it off, something about this situation had her nipples rubbing against the woven fabric of her top. That was pissing her off more than any of it!

His escape fell short as she came out chasing after him. Soon he found himself being cornered by this ranting woman.

"Damn! You want me to get a new muffler? Fine! I'll get a new muffler! And if the porch light really bothered you that much, you should of just said something. I'll turn it off. Is there anything else I can do for you your highness?!?!? Now will you please stop PMSing!"

God. Just an hour ago, he despised her. So why does she seem to be getting more and more attractive every second.

He just about had her stunned to silence. She wanted to say that she might have said something if he weren't so rude to her, but he was right to some degree. But then that nasty comment.

"Oh, a woman asserts herself and she has PMS! You are such a...a...a....MAN!" Oh great, Tess. Great comeback.

She turned and placed her hand on the doorknob as she gritted her teeth. She didn't relish sleeping on her porch, but to stay here seemed out of the question. No way was she going to give him the satisfaction.

Seeing her go for the door, he grabs her arm in an attempt to stop her.

"Hey! Wait. Where do you think your going? You can't sleep out there. Thats crazy. Look. I guess we both got a little carried away there and said some things that maybe we shouldn't of. Well...what I'm trying to say is...um...I'm sorry."

Barry stood in disbelief that those words actually came out of his mouth. What was it about her that made him apoligize, which wasn't an easy thing for him to do.

"The couch folds out into a bed, so you could sleep on that if you want to stay of course, but if you want to leave...I won't stop you."

He released her arm and waited for her answer hoping that she would stay...

She was glad for the opportunity to stay. Even more glad that he caved first. She put a victorious smile on and patted his shoulder. "Well, I knew there had to be some modicum of decency in you." She paused and let the words come out slowly. "Thank you."

They pulled out the hide-a-bed, and to her surprise it was already made.

"I'm sorry to impose on you. You wouldn't have a big shirt or something I could sleep in, would you?" She would have slept in her clothes, but she knew she would get uncomfortable in the night.

"Sure. Hold on. I'll get you a shirt."

As he was heading up the stairs, it suddenly became clear to him why she was so different. Unlike other girls he had known, she actually stood her ground and had the guts to talk back to him. Being a sort of bully growing up, rarely has anyone fought back, especially not a girl.

Coming back down, Barry had changed into a a white shirt and a pair of polka-dotted boxers. He handed her one of those novelty muscle shirts.

"You know what. You can sleep on my bed and I'll sleep down here. I really don't mind. And if you get hungry or something, feel free to rummage through my kitchen."

Wow. He couldn't believe it himself. Hes was pulling out all the stops for her.

"By the way, if you don't know my names Barry. And yours is...?"

Tess laughed. Here, all this time, they hadn't even introduced themselves. His sudden change of personality confused her, but it was nice not to be fighting. She yawned and looked at the muscle shirt. Not much of a covering, but it would have to do.

"Tess, Tess Bryght. Thanks for the offer of the bed, but i will be just fine here, thanks."

She couldn't believe they were being civil. She slipped into the bathroom that she had found him in earlier, and changed into the shirt. She left on her pants, though, not wanting to discard them until she was headed to bed. "If you don't mind, I would like something to eat. Would you join me?"
