I've read some Lovecraft. I enjoy the themes and the ideas, but his writing is a chore to plow through. Kind of like B-grade Poe, and full of hackneyed constructions like, "Had I only know what horrors lie in wait for me inside that accursed house, I would never have walked through that evil door...." and stuff like that. Almost makes me wonder if he had his tongue in cheek when he pounded it out......Carney

The only Lovecraft story I can remember much about is The Dunwich Horror (I think that's what the title is). And what I remember isn't much beyond it scared the shit out of me when I read it in my early teens.

That's near the top of my list. Brrrr.

Just found this thread. Will definitely have to check out this movie thingy a bit further - sounds right up my alley but, as someone else said, it'll either be great or suck profoundly.
