You know perfectly well, neither party is going to nominate anyone who appeals to the other party's base at all. Right or wrong, that just is not how it works. In other words, of course you're going to find the Democratic nominee utterly disgusting no matter who it is. But that doesn't mean anything beyond who gets your vote, which of course is not at all in doubt in the first place.
