Tossing restlessly in her bed, Demi aimlessly slapped her hand into the dark of the night in attempts to shut off her blaring alarm clock that marked the beginning of her dreadful night shift at the hospital. Sleepy, she sauntered out of bed and dressed herself in her comfiest long-sleeve fitted t-shirt and jeans before throwing her hair into a pony tail away from her face and glancing at the clock once she was satisfied with her appearance. It was a mere twenty minutes to six and Demi worried immensely about showing up late; grabbing herself a cup of coffee along with her jacket, she quickly scurried out the door...
Upon arriving at the hospital with five minutes to spare, Demi made her way into the employee locker room where she slipped out of her jeans and changed into a pair of unflattering light blue scrubs. Once she was finished, the brunette shuffled her feet across the linoleum floor to the doors that lead to the nurses station, where she would retrieve the charts she would need for her patients. She was informed by one of the nurses that she had no charts at the moment, leaving Demi with no work to keep her awake. "Ughh.." She groaned through her teeth, leaning against the counter of the nurses station. Out of the corner of her eye, Demi could see one of her fellow team members walking towards her; her tiredness prevented her from caring to look who it was, as she slumped across the counter, resting her head on her arm and closing her eyes, in hopes that when she opened them once again, she'd be in the comfort of her own bed.
