NRA is pouring ads onto Youtube begging people to join.

People want answers then they say stupid shit like this. Fucking dumbfuck.
It's the selective outrage. AR-15s are evil; 30.06s are acceptable.
In this case let's punish some small arms manufacturers when that isn't the fat of death and destruction. Death and destruction worldwide is hugely profitable to our military industrial complex.
I don't think it's at all unreasonable to experience revulsion at the thought of seventeen innocents being killed. Far more than that are killed before breakfast every day all around the world using American manufactured arms. We kill people all over the world on a fairly regular basis ourselves using video game jockeys out of Nevada.
Not to mention that the entire concept is retarded: a bunch of anti-gun nuts who don't own guns and don't intend to buy any want to punish gun manufacturers that are going to be supported by people who do buy guns and will support them. Expensive, shiny, registered, new guns are rarely used in anything but defensive shootings. Cheap stolen handguns are the vast majority of the problem.
I was thinking more along the lines of our Constitution simply doesn't allow it. What he proposes is not only incredibly fucking stupid but simply can't happen.
Of course this is the guy who said he won't talk to people with different opinions and is not interested in compromise.
He's a fuckknuckle.
The new millenials are beating the NRA at their own damned game. They're not like their liberal predecessors, attempting to use knowledge, education and facts to combat the NRA's toxic sludge policies, they're fighting it out on social media, refusing to let this drift away like previous school shootings.
That's climate change. You mean the entire US is sinking, right?
Exactly. They're using Feeeeeeelings... nothing more than feeeelings.
Tell me how you write a good piece of legislation with feelings and not knowledge, education, and facts?
I'll wait to see the bill. I'm sure it will be a hunking pile of garbage, that will never pass.

And yet here is Mr Daily...who supports a mental health bill to fix the problem (which I admit, is the root of the issue) but has ZERO chance of passing...or even being written up as legislation...I live in the World of reality. I am willing to try anything because doing nothing isn't working. Feeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllliiiiinnnnnngggggggs, are something that people have when they look at the world around them and say "This is wrong".
The answer is that we should get rid of guns and just call each other names like we did as kids and as you do now.
You live in the world of "reality" but you don't even understand the basic concepts of what you're attempting to ban?
How does that work?
I'm demanding a solution to the root of the problem. You want to pick around the edges.
Which impossible task is your energy better spent on?

Oh you're absolutely right it will never pass, any sort of gun regulation/prohibition is anathema to you 'guns uber alles" folks.
Enablers such as yourself are more than willing to sacrifice some kids lives on a periodic basis so that you might have teh "maxiumum freedom" that are only delivered by gas-powered semi-automatic weapons with high velocity rounds in large capacity magazines.
You can have all the revolvers you want. You can have all the bolt action rifles you want. you can have all the pump-action shotguns you want.
You don't need semi-automatic or full automatic weapons. Period. No civilian does.
And now you’re attacking the messenger. What next? We've already established that you only care about kids lives if they've been taken by someone using a gun.
You don't care about kids killed by any other fashion.
As such, I'd say you're a bit of an anti-gun zealot, and should be treated accordingly on the subject.

Well, there's no message to attack, so why not? You've already admitted guns aren't the problem. He isn't willing to say guns are the problem.
Furthermore, I didn't see you defending me when he was doing it.
Why is that?
Could you have an anti-gun bias as well?
Focus, chumly. I've firmly stated my position that your beloved gas-powered semi-automatic guns ARE the primary problem. I've stated my rationale for banning them. You refuse to acknowledge my position, which is to be expected. That's your right. You're hiding behind the Second amendment, as many gun zealots do, that's also your right.
Military grade semi-automatic guns (not revolvers, as I've said plenty of times) are the problem. Your cavalier attitude towards mass shootings and theoretical fig leaf fixes are part of this problem.
So lever-action, bolt-action, and revolvers.
What are you going to suggest banning when a sniper gets some elevation and fires into a crowd with a bolt action rifle?
No one is "hiding behind" the Second Amendment when they discuss refusing to relinquish their rights anymore than you are hiding behind the first amendment when you say something stupid, or actionable.
Rights simply exist and are protected by your society or not, whether you choose to exercise that right or have an armed security guard do so on your behalf.
Bolt action are more accurate anyway. Way to go if you really wanna reach out and touch someone.
Just ask Whitman and Oswald.
