We got more than anybody could have hoped on HC and you know it. But yeah the signing of the Monsanto Act was terrible.

We could easily add

Failed to close GITMO
Failed to end the Patriot Act (not that he explicitly said he would.)
Pretty much lucked into Gay rights. His "big" move was ending DADT but the rest the universe handed to him and he just pretended like he'd always been on board.
Failed to stand up for blacks in any singnificant way. Seriously how is the FBI not investigating nearly every major police department in the nation?
Failed to accomplish any of import on immigration. (Not that such a thing is possible in a world that has any Republicans but hey.)

No. Peacenuts don't exist in the US. We were all cheering when we went after Al Qaeda and after Sadamn. IT took years of the public realizing how badly we been fooled before people got pissed about Iraq and even then the news was never dominated by them.

The fact that Obama didn't nuke Iraq and that idiots are claiming he's not attacking them is absurd. To the point that even the Republican Debate admitted he is, they simply (some of them) said that it should be hundreds of thousands a minute not tens of thousands over a period of months.

If you lack political power then for all intents and purposes you do not exist. Should I also claim there are Americans in favor of cannibalism? Jeffery Dahmer isn't the only one you know? There are people who think the planet is flat. There are 9/11 truthers, holocaust deniers and I'd be willing to bet there are Americans who think we should have remained loyal to the Crown.

I'm shocked that you're a peace lover. I simply thought you were intelligent to understand that there are things in this world worth fighting and dying over. I only think of them as morons when they really believe they know everything. God (or some purple cartoon pony) must have told him that his opinions are fact but didn't let the rest of us know. It gets tedious. I at least recognize my opinions are my own and understand that the world would not be better off if everyone thought like I do. I believe in balance.

These are pre-Christmas cookies. I haven't decided which ones to make this year. I might do something simple like bark, snickerdoodles and frosted sugar cookies What would Martha bake?

I think you've forgotten that it was a two year battle that not only did it look like it wasn't going to pass at the end but if it had waited a nother few months for the Republicans to take over (which they did) would have been completely shelved for another twenty years or more. And as much as we kicked the GOP around there are are tons of fiscal conservative democrats who are every bit as hostile to socialism as any Republican. There is a reason why this wasn't even brought up until we had filibuster proof majorities and we'd need a LARGER majority to have gotten anything beyond this. Well that or congressmen so determined to get the job done that they'd go home flip the bird and tell their constiutients to suck it because they did what they wanted.
