I am capable of kindness. . .and trolling. And when I can combine the two I'm an honest to goodness devil.

I don't blame him for the weather but the aftermath of Katrina and the aftermath of Sandy are like night and day. One was a government doing exactly what it should and one was if we give the benefit of the doubt one that was simply unprepared for the task at hand.

As far as I'm concerned, K. was the city of NO, with its Dem. Mayor and the state of LA, with its Dem. governor, rolling over and playing dead and expecting Uncle Sam to make everything right. S. was the states and cities affected figuratively rolling up their sleeves and getting to work and getting back up on their feet with minimal help from the Feds.
The governor could have deployed the National Guard, but those guys were busy in Iraq.Did you forget Homeland Security telling the Coast Guard to delay going in? Did you forget them also delaying bass fishermen, up the Mississippi for a tournament, do NOT go in and assist? Did you forget "Good job Brownie"? Did you forget Busch's "flyover" photo op?
No one party was good in Katrina, but to lay it on the Dems is wrong.

Not exactly. "Obama" was already bombing Daesh before the attack in CA.This is so true and so pathetic.

And before the Paris attacks and before the attacks on Russia.
Bombing so he can say "hey look I'm doing something". You know it's for show when the news isn't dominated with peace-nuts screaming about the inhumanity of war. We have gotten to the point where death is just another way to spin political advantage.
No. Peacenuts don't exist in the US. We were all cheering when we went after Al Qaeda and after Sadamn. IT took years of the public realizing how badly we been fooled before people got pissed about Iraq and even then the news was never dominated by them.
The fact that Obama didn't nuke Iraq and that idiots are claiming he's not attacking them is absurd. To the point that even the Republican Debate admitted he is, they simply (some of them) said that it should be hundreds of thousands a minute not tens of thousands over a period of months.
I wish one day you would get tired of being wrong...my grandmother, on my husband's side, is a bonafide peace nut. She is over 80, goes to a peaceful protest every sat and is on the fbi watch list. She goes less now with her health decline, but the group of women she protests with are against war for any reason, against violence and are all watched. That's a period I ended my sentence with, there is no but.
When you make sweeping generalizations about everyone in the country because you watched tv and saw people cheering or my little pony whispered in your ear, I honestly think you must be retarded in some way. I group you with kkk members that "know" non-whites are worthless, hicks from the midwest that think inbreeding and a piece of hay between their teeth makes them cool and every idiot from those Walmart pictures that can't spell GED even if they have one.
I can only take so much stupid in one day. Can you let someone else take over please?
And how many people make up your granny's group? Is it enough to elect a senator? If not then they don't really exist do they?
No I can't silly. It's difficult for you to accept but we don't live in a country that has peace lovers. We have to factions. War first, last and always and war after fifteen minutes of deliberation. And that's it. You can prtend all your crazy shit if you like but it really just shows out of touch you are with America.
Look, it's clear that true peace lovers have not had any political power for decades, but to claim that they don't exist is just semantics and bullshit. We do exist and we do protest, but our numbers are small and ineffective. Denying our existence is a cynical act. You seemed to be above that sort of thing, but maybe not.

I had a conversation with my dog today. When I look at her, her ears go down, then I look away and they go up again. I sometimes forget that when you were taken over by the pod people, any interaction just pulls your string and the same words spew out, regardless if they are relevant or not. My dog at least knows why her ears go down.
I'm making more cookies today (meaning tomorrow). I'm using bars of semi sweet-chocolate instead of chips-ghiradelli, but they were out of white chocolate bars, so just the chips. Why can't we all just get along?

There was a thread about this in the AH. I think it's the liberation of Ego that comes from interacting with Phosphors and Photons, instead of People. How often do you think of the folks at the other end of this as morons, or defective minds poisoned by the incessant conflict of our times poured into them by a media that looks for conflict rather than consensus? How often do you hear the media discuss the real situation we are in , ISIS, Syria, or any of the other "Squirrels" that come along that diverts us from what is really important?
Like cookies for Christmas?![]()
We got more than anybody could have hoped on HC and you know it.
