The Outlook

Morning. What does one do with 95 cents worth of points on ShopYourRewards.com?

No clue. I know a thousand points can be exchanged for a dollar. So needless to say, they're not very useful unless you have large quantities. Which makes me wonder why they'd even bother putting an expiration date on them (they're invalid at the end of this month o_O)

*nods* I'd need to spend about a hundred dollars to get anything useful out of it o.o

Returning to the Outlook after a night in my lover's arms, I am dressed more formally today, as it suits my mood. I remember that I was once a princess to someone, before the fall. Was even worshiped as a goddess of fertility. That was long ago, another time, another me.

Still it's good to remember sometimes. It's good to be reminded too. Like I am when I find the gift awaiting me from Fr33k. I gasp in surprise! It's the circlet of Ithildin! I reverently lift it to my brow, lacing it through my hair, just above my ears. It feels perfect there. I must thank him in person for this. I seek out the others in the Outlook balcony.

*Looks up at the entering presence, smiling at her familiar elven grace. The gift he left for her has found its way to her forehead, and it looks as though it belongs there, a missing piece replaced*

Hello there. You look quite regal today, is it a special occasion?

Saying nothing in answer, I lean down to kiss his cheek, and hug him.

Thank you for the wonderful gift, Fr33k. No, not a special occasion, just a day to remember what used to be.

*Reciprocates in the hugging, cheek warmed by the gentle kiss*

Ah nostalgia...So what station did you hold in days gone by? Princess or queen by the look of it; but then again, I don't know much about royalty, being but a pauper myself. *His laugh is low, almost secret*

"I was married to a prince, once upon a time."

I laugh lightly, realizing how the cliche phrase works in that statement.

"That was a long time ago. Now, I'm just like anyone else, nothing special. So what does this day hold for you, my friend?"

A lucky prince he was then. Though I would disagree with your lack of specialness. Today holds not much but relaxation for me. And what does the day hold for you, m'lady?

*He parts his lips in a grin befitting a jester, adjusting in his seat so that he faces her fully, the view of the beach forgotten*

"The possibilities are endless, under the circumstances. I'm free all day, only getting a little hungry."

I smile and scoot a little closer to him. Good company is where you find it. I've found it here.

I see. I certainly hope making lunch for yourself is on the list of things you can do with one arm!

*Mirth continues to curl his lips, glad for the company she provides and glad to be the source of good company for her as well.*

"I can manage some things. A pop top can of soup, though not all that sumptuous, it will do. Maybe you have a suggestion as to another snack I could manage with one hand?"

Heh, I've never tried it, and it would probably be more labor-intensive than I think...but a sandwich shouldn't be out of the realm of doing. Definitely more satiating than a bowl of soup...

*Makes a mental note to try making a sandwich one-handed later*

Barring that, the soup seems as good an option as any.

I smile suggestively. "A sandwich, eh? Six inch or twelve?"

I slip an arm around his neck, leaning in close to hear his answer.
