True and I am rather scary with a chest tube needle (think IV cath from hell).

And not feeling too strong today. Heck, hurts to even drive, let alone move anything. Stupid hands... chronic pain sucks.

Im right with ya there hun, i have problems moving today, my back at my hips froze up last night so even with meds im not doing so well this morning.

Im suppose to tell on myself to you... mostly because im still under the influence of the meds. AB says im suppose to tell you that im listening to stoner music. The Steve Miller band redid The Joker and they sound like they are flying as they sing it. lol and it just switched to ZZ Top's La Grange so im bobbing right along lol


edited to add: I have Fibromyalgia along with several arthritises that are mean! as well as being bipolar, having 'an adjustment disorder' and borderline personality disorder so im suppose to be medicated all the time. I have poor medical management so i manage them myself, improperly but I cant stand the fog all the time so i suffer.

I don't stick people I know- tis weird.
I'll loan my arm out for IV training (though I can't watch or I'll get sick). Try having to talk a new tech through doing an IV in your own hand, then talking him through fishing for the vein that you know a blind man could hit.
Now that sucked.

And while not having fibromyalgia- I can sympathise at least a little with constant pain. Past three years have been nothing but pain in both wrists, Right worse then left. I'm a medic- rather sad that doing chest compressions brings tears of pain to my eyes. Scares me that does... cause I'd hurt myself to save a patient and I know it.

And the AF has no f'in clue why I'm in pain... *rants and rails some more* Wasn't like this before I came in, no one in my family has this pain, they've all got numbness from carple tunnel but no constant pain.

*offers OG a chocolate chip cookie*

*takes the cookie and munches on it* thanks, on occasion distractions do help if not to get rid of the pain, at least to move it from the front of my mind.

have they looked into the -itises, bone spurs and such? and as for hurting yourself to save a life... i could only imagine the mental anguish that you would put yourself through if you decided at anypoint to hold back because you knew it would hurt and they died. I, myself in the same situation would keep going at it just because, i knew that even if there was pain, at least Id be alive to feel it and they have just as much right as I do, to that.


It is just wrong that doing work you love (and been assigned to) causes you to suffer all the time.

as to pets: We have three doggies (2 little, Jack and Maggie, and 1 big, Chance). We used to have fishies, and until fairly recently I had two hampsters and a rat in my room (I'm down to just one hampster now, but I think she's startin to go). I dun't know what I'd do without my aminals! *hugs Jack, who's in her lap yet again. Jack flops over and tries to sleep* It all depends on the dog. we got lucky with ours...Chance came partially trained, and Jack we got from the no-kill shelter, so he started out pretty timid.
