OOC: *grabbing a giant metal pipe* Agh! I can't take it when people don't bother reading the other's posts! Do you find yourself better than me? I'll beat you senseless!! Argh! I have a short fuse and a bad temper, don't screw with me!

IC:

He flapped his wings, and flew up, grabbing Tula. He lifted her off the roof, and set her down on the ground below. He looked at the large man.

"It was Bloth's men. They did something to Tula..."

Tula:

Feeling dizzy and disoriented, Tula looked at the man and creature before her in confusion.

"Where am I?" she finally asked after a long pause. She nearly fainted when the monkeybird caught her so she would not hit the ground.

"Get away from her," He said loudly, picking her up and making sure she was all right.
"I suppose it was this Bloth character who flew her up there too, isn't it?"
He was very cross with the monkey bird, but it was more just anguish from his concern over Tula. He hated to see her like this, dazed confused, and simply helpless.
Seeing she was all right, he held onto her carefully, unsure if she could stand up right.
"Ok, you've got one chance to explain before I tell everyone inside there's a two for one special on monkeybird."

"Quit Threatening....Niddler? was it?. I made that crash when I cannonballed into one of the heavys. Not that it did any good. he shook me off like a cold ale headache. For all my attempts at heroism It was Niddler that saved us. Tula would be fine except they tried to drug niddler but the dart intended for him instead hit Tula. And If I know Konk ..hell be back and with greater numbers..."

Ren

OOC: Sorry about that. But I came in when quite a few replies had already been posted, so I didn't see your other post. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Anyway...

KONK

Konk went straight to the ship and collected the usual press gang. He was going to enjoy this very much especially roasting niddlers wings. He quivered as he aproached Bloth's chambers. He had hoped to keep him ignorant of his failure but he knew now he needed Bloth's permission for torching the bar and collecting some fresh sailors. It was a shame cause he wanted that tula for himself but he knew once Bloth saw her she would be his.

Niddler

The monkeybird hopped from foot to foot. He looked around, as if expecting Bloth himself to appear from the shadows. He shivered, and trembled, and was all around scared.

"Bloth! Konk came, and...he drugged her! I had to move her or they'd take her! He'll come back, with others! I've got to go, get out of here! I can't let them take me back there!"

He glanced over at the ship anchoring below. Indeed it looked as if some hussling and bussling was going to happen. Nothing he hadn't handled before. It was a bar after all, and his girth wasn't just used as a fashion statement.
"Hey, Tula," He slapped her cheek lightly, seeing some of her come back to life.
"Inside, in the attic, remember the secret door sweety? Take this bird that saved your life up there," he nodded to the bird.
"You saved this woman's life, and for that I am in your debt. If you wish to leave it is your choice, but if you follow Tula inside I promise nothing will happen to you so long as there's a breath left in me."
It was Zoolie's word, and he had thus far never broken it. Although, he hadn't had a reason to as of it.
"You, if you want to run too, be my guest. I won't harbor you though, you've got two arms and two legs, fight or run are your options."

Tula:

With a nod of her head, Tula obeyed Zoolie. She led Niddler back into the tavern, up the stairs, and into the secret chamber high in the tavern's peak. Again, they were alone.

(OOC: First off I apologize for breaking my own rules by having an OOC here, and second off I wanted to apologize for my shitty posts lately. I've been sick all week with a nasty head hold and between being sick and attempting to go to work I haven't been myself lately.)

Niddler

He looked around the secret room, and shivered, looking to Tula. "I'm afraid. What if they get me? I don't want to be a slave for Bloth again!"

He was getting very twitchy, obviously scared and a little paranoid. He moved close to Tula, and hugged her for protection. Everything was way out of control. He had no clue what to do...

BLOTH

OOC: playing temporarily till find replacement.

Bloth rose to his full height and barked the orders for the pressgang to follow him. He had Konk close by, he never trusted Konk, as they had forty of his best crew and three dragon riders to capture NIddler. Bloth was slowly forming a smile. He loved a good raid and he knew the ship would sail when he returned for he made sure of that detail. He never would think to cause trouble in his favorite stop off but his reputation was on the line. Konk received a sound lashing for presuming to use Bloth's name in a thread without consulting him. Really he was glad to get the blood boiling in his veins. And that Tula that Konk spoke of to shorten his punishment hmmmmmm............

I watched the scene with interest. What was going on. The barkeeper had come back in along with another man, a woman and a monkeybird. How odd. I watched them for a minute and then the woman and the monkeybird dissappeared when I turned away for a second. The other man was still there talking to the barkeeper. This would have something to do with Bloth...
And speak of the devil. I looked tgrough the window outside. Bloth was approaching with a group of pirates and at least two dragons... this should be interesting. "You two! A very large customer is approaching!" I shouted at the man and the barkeeper, interrupting their conversation. The barkeeper rushed to the window and looked outside. "Oh no" he groaned. The other man didn't look that calm either...

Tula:

Tula sat on the floor, her knees were bent and in front of her, the monkeybird at her side hugging her. She swayed back and forth in a rocking motion, soothing the monkeybird. Quietly, she picked him up until he was cradled in her lap, his head resting on her boosm.

"Shhhhh," she said in a comforting voice. "Everything will be okay. You will never go back to that evil man. Never."

Niddler's body began to relax some. He allowed himself to sink in closer to her. Never had he felt at such ease. He liked it.

BLOTH

Bloth spied the bar and had his men surrond it their torches brightening the whole street. He looked up to see his dragon riders circling overhead. Bloth stepped forward, "Monkeybird i know your in there I want you out here now! All the rest of you men if you valueyour lives will join my crew!" Bloth watched as he saw several men file out for they knew his voice well. His men started to cuff them in a chain. Bloth smiled he would have his way with this Tula tonight. Bloth's voice boomed as he said,"Bar keep your holding my property don't make me search the burnt rubble for the mokeybirds bones!" Bloth smiled, noone denied his orders.

Tula:

Tula held tight to the shaking monkeybird. "Shhhhhh, it's alright," she said to him in her soothing tones, barely a whisper now. Niddler couldn't stop shaking, though. Fear had gripped him tight. In silence, she continued to rock him and sooth him as best she could.

Niddler

Shaking with fear, the monkeybird nuzzled himself into Tula's bosom. He felt safe with her. She was so nice....and soft, and warm....It reminded him of the freedom he'd known on Pandowa.

But Bloth was so close. He didn't want to go back to that life, the life of enslavement and torture. And he didn't want that to happen to Tula either. She was one of the few people who had ever been nice to him.

He whimpered. He felt safe, and yet danger lurked on the very edges of his foundation. He was scared. Things were happening so quickly...

Shit was definitely hitting the fan. Too late to do much but grin and bear it now.
He looked at the few, but loyal bunch before him. A bunch of drunk old soldiers, and most of them didn't know what was going on.
"All right, everyone pick a window. Throw what you can out. We've got no choice but to abandon this place... they don't need to know that though."
He walked down into the basement, looking at the old door. It was a secret passageway that lead right down to the shore. With any luck, some of them could hide in the nearby woods. others could stowaway on a ship.
He walked back up, going to the attic.
"Tula, take the monkeybird out of here through the basement. Don't make any noise, and don't come back here, no matter what you see. Try to stowaway on a ship or something."
He ran back downstairs, as he saw the others yelling out of the windows. He grabbed a lantern, and threw it out, landing next to some old fat guy's feet. Zoolie cried a joyous cheer.
"You'll never get what's in here, you son of a bitch. Burn it down!"
He wasn't sure he was actually hearing this. He sighed as he glanced at the bar one more time.
"Ok," he said quietly, as things began to hit the roof, "File out of here. Don't everyone go at once. Two or three at a time. Try to make your way to safety..."
(Doesn't someone steal a ship for us all to go on? Perfect opportunity here....)
With that, he began grabbing mugs of ale to hand out.The men were running out of things to throw, and he didn't want them knowing what was going on in here. Not just yet anyway.
Some ass thinks he can get the better of Zoolie... not a chance.

BLOTH

Bloth stood and watched as his men threw the torches on the roof. Nothing like fire to smoke out vermin, his favorite kind of crew. He men grabbed a waif of a girl she had potential. Bloth looked to Konk and he shook his head. Well so she wasn't tula she would still quiver to his touch. Bloth laughed as he heard the bluster from the broken down barkeep. What he barkeep didn't know was that his dragon riders saw the cowards run out of a opening near the shore. Bloth hurriedly ordered some men to intercept them. Bloth turned to Konk bring me that braggard of a barkeep i think the constrictus is hungry. His laughter roared through the alley. The grabbed the barmaid and pulled her to his facw. What is the name of my next conquest he querrird her.....

Tula:

A tear rolled down Tula's cheek as she paused in the hidden stairwell. She thought she heard Zoolie say something about burning down the place through the thick wooden walls. Could this be true? Is that why he told her to not come back no matter what?

Tugging on the waistband of her pants, Niddler whispered, "I think we'd better hurry." The fear was very strong in his eyes.

Glancing down at the monkeybird, Tula nodded her head slightly. In silence they continued to make their way down the narrow stairs. The staircase twisted and turned as it took them deeper underground. The deeper they went, the darker the tunnel became.

Once they were surrounded by blackness, they felt a heavy wooden door in front of them. It took them both to push it open. They were greeted by a small cavern. It was an area Tula was unfamiliar with.

"W...where are we?" Niddler asked Tula.

"I'm not sure," she replied honestly. "Zoolie told us to get to the pier and find a ship to hide out in, though," she added.

They walked to the entrance to the cave. It was no more than a few feet in height. They would have to crawl to get out. Tula knelt down and then extended her hands out in front of her. She crawled up to the cavern entrance and peeked out.

She looked to her left and then to her right. A small beach front facing the piers was around them. There was no one in sight. She started to make her way though the entrance. Her ass hit the top of the hole. She had to hunker down lower to crawl out of the space. All the while Niddler was behind her, waiting to get out too.

Niddler

He was getting extremely scared. Being a monkeybird, he had a slight case of claustrophobia. He was extremely nervous. He moved close to Tula, pressing against the soft flesh of her bottom.

His hands pressed lightly against her. Wanting her to go faster, but not wanting to push her. He took an odd comfort in her being there.

BLOTH

Bloth looked at the bound girl, "What is your name wench!" The girl with fire in her eyes said Shareen. Bloth laughed as he saw the flash in her eyes, she would be a real challege to break. Bloth loved a good challege. Bloth watched in satifaction as he saw the bar really start to go up in flames. He looked at Konk and told him to check on the secret opening his men had found. Bloth had sent 10 men to capture the rats escaping. He sent Konk with 10 more. "Konk make sure the girl is alive i may need a new distraction later. " Bloth looked at Shareen he saw as she had looked stung by the comment. She may be more willing than she knows thought bloth. He smiled and had the chained men led to his ship. He couldn't wait to see this what was he called Zoolie. Yes, the entainment of watching his constrictus eat made him smile.

"Everybody out now."
Zoolie screamed over the fire, watching men scatter down into the basement. He looked over the place on last time...
fucking Bloth.
This wasn't the end of it, that was for certain.
He ran down through the tunnel, finally coming up on the other side. (sorry to push things through Tiggs, but lots of plot things are happening).
He looked at the men, already fighting. More seemed to be coming. They were backed into a corner, and outnumbered incredibly. Only one chance for escape.
"Ok..." he yelled again. Honestly, he wasn't sure why he was taking over, but somebody had to be in charge. Might as well be him.
"Everybody get ont a ship... come on now."
He saw most of them piling on a rather large ship. There was a few others, a nice one at the end (I'll let someone else describe it. The ship from the series though. Roundabout way to start this thread, but a lot of fun)
"Tula!" he cried, jumping onto the ship, "Come on, hurry up. Bring that monkeybird with you. We have to go now."
He saw a few others, already setting the ship for sailing. Hurry, he exclaimed mentally, taking a position at the helm. The ship lruched forward.... very slowly.
(plenty of chance for good guy members to jump on, and a few bad ones as well)

Ren

"Uh-oh"

A chair went flying past my head. Everyone was leaving, some in Bloth's chains and some without them. I didn't plan to leave with him though. I turned around just in time to see the bartender scuttle through a secret passageway. "Some other time Bloth" I muttered, more to myself than to him. Following the bartender I saw him board a ship with a few other people. It was setting sail, albeit slowly, and I had to get aboard before Bloth and his goons captured me.
I ran to the pier and took a running jump. Time seemd to slow down for the second I was in the air. I'm not gonna make it I thought, and I don't wanna spend my life keeldragged by the Maelstrom just for Bloth's amusement. I saw the ship's name : Shadow. As I began to descend in slow-motion someone from the Shadow grabbed my hand and pulled me onboard...

KONK

Konk rounded up the patrons to slow to reach the boat. He aimed his blowgun and landed a hit square on that Zoolie's neck. Konk smiled as the thought of how he just controled the key to this Tula. The poison was a two part compound and the first part stayed in the system for years. All he had to do was lace something od Zoolie's and the girl would be his. He knew she would surrender herself to save this man. He rushed back to the ship with his human cargo. He knew the chase would calm Bloth rage at the escape of the girl. Maybe Bloth would give him to her after he tired of her. Hmmmm.......

Niddler

OOC: Anybody home?

IC:

He stood on the ship, clinging to Tula. They'd barely made it, and he was shaking with fear. He was terrified. He was scared. He was feeling another odd feeeling he couldn't place at the moment...

But mostly, he was seeking that wonderful feeling of safety. "Are-are they following us?"
