Cpt Straybu
The shock that went through the ground was violent enough to tumble his riding-beast, and throw Straybu from his saddle. Swearing and cursing at this, Straybu stood up dusting himself off.
"Damn that man to the Seven Shadelands!", Straybu swore out loud, "I'll strangle him myself!"
"STRAYBU!"
Hearing the loud magically-enhanced yell, Straybu instantly recognized the harsh voice of the Grand Vizier. The only man it was said, who could look upon the naked Sorceror-Queen without punishment, any time he saw her. Many said that her beauty was unearthly, magically improved upon. Straybu didn't know; he'd never met the Queen, and if he did, he hoped to the Gods that he was well-blindfolded at the time.
Straybu turned and bowed deeply toward Sluavan Drazir, the Grand Vizier and old-trusted friend/ally of the late Sorceror-King, and a distant uncle of the Sorceror-Queen, Lashri. It was well to be polite to the Grand Vizier.
"Yes, my lord Grand Vizier", Straybu replied in a calm voice. He respected Sluavan Drazir from long experience; he was a man of such a clever & ruthless nature that Straybu found much to admire in him.
