Is anyone suggesting that specific elections have been won or lost based off of fraud?
Does it really matter? If wrongs are being committed, then these wrongs have to be addressed.

how many times do you feel, illegals should vote?
what about dead people?
should terrorist members of the afl-cio get more votes per person?

yes, it matters.
Except for some very rare, local cases, I havent seen any studies that suggest voter fraud is a real problem.
Although, I would like to say Im not opposed to an entire overhaul of our voting system. The republican primary shows how disorganized the voting process really is.
All of the proposed laws aimed at making it more difficult to register and vote are a solution in search of a problem.
The incidence of voter fraud in this country is insignificant. To waste tax-payer money on this boondoggle is stupidity of epic proportions, surpassing even the stupidity of Bush's second term.
Tell ya what... if you showed up at your polling place after work, only to be turned away because someone already voted "as you," you'd be pissed and wonder how someone could vote as you.

Do you have any proof of this happening on any sort of meaningful scale?
Of course not.
But hey, let's spend millions of dollars to implement more laws... afterall, that's what you like, isn't it? You're a big government hack.
and this is happening... where?
I'd bet that if ID was not required to buy beer, that there would only be a very small handful of law breakers....not enough to worry about....![]()

Oh brother. Are you aware that illegals are voting? Make everyone show an ID card. Such a simple solution. Why fight it?

And, hey, if not, then the worst-case scenario is, now there's a whole lot more drunk teenage girls around!![]()

Not that this is happening, but you would cast a provisional ballot which would be then validated.
And without a photo ID, which ballot "wins?" The first fraudulent ballot, or the second ballot?
Upon verification, the ballot that's verified wins.
And how is the ballot verified, exactly? You know I want to so say ID, so just say it.

It's verified by ID. Not necessarily photo ID. And it only has to be verified in cases of suspected fraud.
You still can't find any measurable amount of voter fraud going on though, so it's a non-issue.
It is happening.
