It had been quite a while since Bronwyn had had the opportunity to pick out clothing at a store. Usually it was some fabric at the castle, and they made their own, so this was a treat.
He had said, a few items, how many was that, she wondered. There was some fine quality clothing her, but she did not want to be gready. She selected a wool shawl, a square about ten feet square, which could wrap her entire body. She also selected two dresses, both of which buttoned to the neck, and fell to the ankle, with long sleves, and one corset, which was worn over the dress to cinch the waist in . All the items were totally demure, plain, and fucntional. She did not want him to expect that she was going to cost him money!
She handed the items to the shop keeper, as Irving was browsing about the store, and she indicated that they must meet with his approval, if they were to buy them.
