The Rogues' Tale (Closed)

Rogue

Rogue nodded at Remy's statement.

"Just what Ah was thinkin'," She said as she sat back to rest as he ate,"Something had to build it and our friends didnt look capable of that advanced of a building. Besides, it was the only one Ah saw. If they lived there than there would be more than one."

Her brow furrowed as she said,"But it looked deserted. Whoever was there might have left. Either way we can go check it out as soon as you have eaten."

Remy finished up the fruit that Rogue had brought, then stood. "No time like de present, eh Chere?" He leaped up into her arms, surprising her, and planted a kiss right on her lips. "Ready for take-off, Cap'n Ma'am!" Rogue shook her head at the Cajun's antics, and took off.

Later, they arrived nearby the edifice she had found. Now, however, it was very active. Strange machines, their metallic bodies gleaming in the sun, could be seen darting in and out of openings. "I don't t'ink dey night-owls, chere." Remy's eyes were naturally sharp, and he noticed something odd about the machines. "You see dem panels on dose t'ings? I'm t'inking dey solar-powered!"

Rogue

Heading into the trees surrounding the building, Rogue lands on a large, sturdy branch and sets Remy down on it. Here they can get a better look at the scene before them but not be seen in return.

"Well, Ah know those critters we ran into yesterday couldnt have built somethin' like that. Ah wonder what we are dealin' with here."

Looking over at her companion, she smiled,"Ah dont see us gettin' any answers just sittin' here, do you? We have questions and Ah do believe the answers are right there. Shall we go get them?"

Remy grinned an insouciant grin, "Sure t'ing, chere! How about you take de high road, and ol' Gambit, he take de back road?" He extended his staff to its full length, and leaped lightly to the ground below, quickly disappearing into the undergrowth.

Rogue

Rouge watched Remy until he had disappeared before heading out herself. Flying just out of sight of the compound, she tried to think of a distraction to give Gambit some time to get there.
A smile came over her face as an idea struck and she raced back to the fruit tree, picking some of the overripe fruit their before moving at a fast clip toward the compound and the machines.
Aiming a piece of the fruit at the panels Remy had pointed out, she started bombing them with the overripe fruit as she flew over them. Once they saw her, they begin to shoot at her with what seemed like lazers and it was a job to keep out of harms way but she did notice that, as she covered the panels, the machines begin to slow down and their aim became very erratic and wide.

Remy chuckled gleefully at the sight of his Rogue taking out the robots with overripe fruit… “Ah, ah, ah, mon ami! No shootin’ at ma petit belle!” The Cajun mutant had noticed yet another robotic laser, one which Rogue had not seen from her angle. Gambit used his battle-staff as a pole-vault, and leaped lightly over his target. A quick smash from overhead, right into its solar collectors, and it was disabled.

Moving quickly, but quietly, inside the building, Remy was not so very surprised to find more robots. Luckily, these were all weaponless, and were easily dispatched. “I wonder how I can shut all dem others down out dere?” With a shrug, he decided that he really didn’t want to wait until they’d harmed Rogue, so he smashed everything in sight.

Rogue

Rogue was surprised when the robots begin not to die down quietly but to sputter and jump spasmodically as if in the throes of a dance of death. Dropping the rest of the fruit, she lit upon the ground once she was sure that all of the robots were disabled.

Walking into the building, she smiled at Remy and shook her head. “Not much finesse, Cajun,” She says, laughter in her voice,”But quite effective. Shall we begin to explore and see if we can find any answers to the thousands of questions we have?”

“Dat’s a good idea, chere, but c’mere a sec.” Rogue moved closer to Gambit, a puzzled look on her face. He suddenly reached out, pulled her close, and kissed her thoroughly. “Just for luck, chere!”

They moved further into the base, seeing more and more of the deactivated machinery, but no sign of anything else, save for a map of what appeared to be the local area within a hundred miles or so, with blinking lights in various positions, only two lights blinking in the immediate area.

Rogue

Rouge is surprised but pleasantly pleased with Remy’s show of affection and she returns his kiss happily. The idea that she can do so without harming him still sending a thrill within her.

As they entered the building she looked around and wondered why the machines would be guarding an empty building. Her thoughts were interrupted when they came upon the map. Looking it over she turned to Remy.

“Ah could do a recon over the sites,” She said as she studied it, “It shouldn’t take very long at all.” Looking over to Remy, she cocked an eyebrow. “Want to hitch a ride there, Louisiana?”

"Cher', take a look at dis here map," Gambit said, motioning her to stand nearby him as he pointed to the map they'd found. "I'm thinkin' it'd be a pretty good bet dat dese here dots is you and me, non? And dem other dots must be t'other folks wandering around."

He pulled her close to him, enveloping her lithe body in his arms, skillfully rubbing her back. "You see any little thing near heah, 'sides you an' me?"

Rogue

Rogue moved up beside him, studying the map and nodding in agreement.

"Yes, it seems that waayyy..." She said, taken by surprise as he pulled her into his arms.

Laughing, she wrapped her arms around his neck and melted into him.

"Now, it seems ah've heard that question before," She said in a teasing voice,"And ah'm pretty sure I remember where that one led to....as well as how it was interrupted!"

Gambit smiled broadly, an eager light in his eyes. Slowly, he leaned into Rogue's face, his lips parting to meet hers in a long, deep, lingering kiss. His hands roamed up and down her body, his skilled fingers undoing the various clasps of her XMen uniform until she stood before him, clad only in her long hair and beautiful smile.

"Cher', I've wanted to touch you all over for so long.. caress ev'ry part of dat lovely skin with my lips.. and now, I'm goin' t' do it!"

Matching actions to words, he began stroking her body with a surgeon's delicate touch... and a Cajun storyteller's skilled lips and tongue, kissing and licking his way down to her full breasts.

Rogue

Rogue's breath was taken in sharply as her costume was peeled away and she shivered as she stood before him, naked and exposed.

With a moan, she closed her eyes as she felt his lips on her skin. It was a feeling she had longed for even longer than Gambit had. To touch someone and have someone touch her...without fear and recriminations.

And for it to be him, the one man she had dreamed about doing just this for so long....she almost couldn't breath as his lips traveled closer to her erect nipples, her own hands fumbling with the clasp of his clothes, trying to see him, to be with him, skin to skin...touching completely.

"Remmy," She whispered as she pushed at the garments,"Oh yes, please..."
