The Small Neighborhood At The End of The Street

A lovely, inviting porch. Two chairs with a small table between... I'll bring pastries as long as you brew coffee? We can chat and watch what meanders down the lane?

Hello my neighbor Elliott, how are you today?

We are entering into the holiday spirit . May your house fill up with joy and windows open to warm light. People seem to be more amorous during this season. We think more of others than we do other times of the year. This is the season for kindling the fire for hospitality. I have the coffee ready and hope others will join us.

New Years Eve 2019
I politely smile, should I raise a hat and take your hand with a gentle bow.
I would so enjoy time together under the arbour with scent of Jasmin and roses.

Back in time :rose:
Would you prefer fine wine, champagne, or a delightful tea?
Can you explain a little about how we set up here together. Or might I too have an abode? Might we become close personal friends exploring their intimacies. I can create a character to get to know you.mPoddibly an artist. Or your gardener.

Hello Mr Lite,
My name is Tulip, a member of our townhouse committee.
Your agent told me yesterday that you would stop by today again to take a second look at the property you were interested in....I don't usually stick my nose in property sales here but your agent and I help each other occasionally. We are friends....FWB....if you don't know what those three letters stand for, don't ask, you'll find out someday..

Anyways..he asked me to show you around this neighborhood.. My pleasure Mr Lite. ...Let's turn right here.....the owners of this house are Elliot and his wife. Elliot was quite engaging and hot-blooded for a while but cooled down somewhat recently......And this house right next belongs to another couple, John and Jane....another story.......Well, Mr Lite, if you become a member of this community you'll be surprised that how many characters we have here.....And see the beautiful garden right there ?...Roses are always red and red and very charming...... Well, Mr Lite, I hope your purchase deal goes through. I wouldn't bargain with the seller for a lower price.

Janice, 45 years old, female.

I moved here not too long ago. Previously I was in a dive of an apartment that I moved into after my divorce. Thanks to a recent promotion at work, and some word of mouth, I found this place, seems almost off the beaten path. It's a quiet neighborhood, which I like. I've seen some of the neighbors out and about, but I haven't had an opportunity to really get to know them. With my promotion came longer work hours. No rest for the wicked I suppose.

I like the porch. It's small, but that's fine. I can put a rocking chair out on it, and have my coffee on the weekends, weather permitting.

Maybe with a home like this in such a nice neighborhood my daughter will come and visit me, but I'm not betting the farm on that.

Tulip

"Hi, Janice,
I've seen you around a few times. It's nice that we finally have a chance to say Hello now.

Well, our neighbors have been pretty quiet recently. I don't really know what's been going on with them. Maybe it's the weather...It's quite normal after all that people hibernate during the winter months....Spring will be springing pretty soon.....that may bring this neighborhood back to life."

"Hi Tulip! Pleased to meet you. It very well might be the weather. I know when it gets cold I don't like going outside much, preferring to stay inside where it's warm with a good book!"

*Thinking to myself: some subtle signs of life here and there, a car parked where one wasn't before, blinds open in a window where they were closed before. A bit eerie, but I can deal with it. It's supposed to be warmer tomorrow, maybe I'll spend the morning on the porch spying on.. um... looking for my neighbors. Done thinking*

[soliloquy]

It's finally the weekend, and that means Saturday coffee. And it's nice out, a bit of a bite to the wind, but not enough to prevent me from sitting out on my porch with a cup of coffee and checking out the neighborhood. Not a lot of activity, but I'd probably be complaining if there was too much noise going on. I glance at my car and see how filthy it is. Maybe I should give it a wash. But not until I've finished my coffee!

I haven't seen Tulip since our first encounter. Maybe she'll be out and about today.

You know what would go good with coffee right now? Donuts! It's three miles to the nearest donut shop. Is it worth the trip?

[end soliloquy]

[soliloquy #2]

It's Hump Day! And Hump Day is almost over with. Yay! Even though no actual humping took place, I'm happy as I wind down from another work day. Sitting on the porch this evening, it's unseasonably mild out. A jogger goes by; a young guy, shirtless, and in obvious good shape. I wonder if he lives in this small neighborhood or if he's just passing through? Maybe I should take up jogging, as I wouldn't mind following him!

No solid plans for the weekend. I still need to wash my car; maybe I'll do that. Hopefully I'll see some of the residents out and about. The weather is supposed to be really nice this weekend, so it's certainly possible I'll see some activity. Might be soon time for a housewarming party. Adding that to my "Things to do" list.

[end soliloquy #2]

[soliloquy #3]

So it's Sunday night and nothing worth watching on television, which is why I'm sitting out on the porch again, looking at the various lights that decorate the night. I haven't seen that jogger since the one time; maybe I'm just watching at the wrong time. It seems the residents of the neighborhood have been keeping to themselves these past few weeks, not sure why. I didn't expect to see any out on a Sunday night, but the evening is nice anyways, and I'm liking it. I wonder if there are any single guys living nearby. Got to keep my options open. Then again that could open up to neighborhood gossip. Makes me wonder what sorts of secrets may be hiding in the homes within my view.

[end soliloquy #3]

Ah secrets behind the curtains...it's where dastardly deeds can happen, and who knows what pleasures might be enjoyed.. I guess an opener could be to knock on the door and say you've run out of sugar!! Butt possibly some furtive nearby peaker is wondering about goings on behind yours!

However....? IF you did see a removals van draw up and furniture being unloaded, what male profile might fascinate you of the guy now pushing his wheelbarrow with a dog sitting in it? And is that a piano?

(Tulip)

"Evidently, Mr Lite's purchase deal did go through. His moving truck may be pulling up to the curb anytime soon ....Ah, did he mention a piano? Is he a musician ? a musician to be our new neighbor ? Wouldn't that be grand !! Hope he'll be playing some erotic music........wooops...sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I meant to say nice music. Erotic music is too arousing for some. This is actually a rather decent conventional neighborhood. Nobody screws on the porch or anything. As to what secrets behind the curtains remain secrets. There is the unwritten policy of “don't tell, don't ask ” that new neighbors be informed.

And...seems like Janice can't take her mind off the mysterious “shirtless jogger “. Who's that ? This is driving me crazy. "

Moving in has been a real hassle. But I've made the decision to escape the cut and thrust of city life. I hope Ive come to a pleasant friendly neighbourhood. And have to admit, Id welcome some friendly female company too. It's been a while since the break. Maybe I'll check out the neighbours and invite them to a house warming. But it would be nice if I caught a smile waving from behind all those curtains.
Time to see if Grandad's piano sounds happy in its new home. Pouring a scotch, I warm up on a few syncapations. The old grand sounds right, drain half the glass and follow my mood. I play some Chopin for the neighbours. Moonlight sonata might sooth the natives. The, I smile when ~I remember Lucy at the old bar. And away I go, fingers rip from Joplin to Little Richard. And it sounds like the joint should be jumpin !!!
Well folk, Dexter has arrived. Might someone come with a pleasant request;) I lean down and pat Dog. "Seems just you and I for the welcome party Buddy"

There are no virus infections reported in this neighborhood so far. I don't hear any coughs. We have been protected by the heavenly spirit of every garden in front of every house at the end of this street.

I've been advised to stay home from my employment.
This is a rare opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime major house cleaning. Wipe out accumulated dead scums and living organisms that are harmful to the human body and soul.

In addition to caring for one's physical health, we also need to be aware of our spiritual health. During this stressful time it's not a good idea to be idle worrying about the sky may fall. We could take advantage of social distancing in person and be more engaged in writing. Exercise expressing ourselves, write something and post it on the community bulletin board. You'll feel some kind of echo from the universe if not from neighbors.

The old grand sounds right and Moonlight Sonata feels ethereal.

What can I say about the house warming party with Janice and Mr. Lite ?

I just took this photo from my porch. It’s Mr Lite’s house across this small street from mine. He is playing the piano. The sound of the music grabbed me in some indefinable way. The complexity of its composition is not understood by many and yet easily turns into simple pleasure for all. Isn’t it amazing ?

And his house...just the look of it is enough for me to sit by my window all day to give it undivided attention.

Having survived the Lockdown restrictions imposed on the neighbourhood, I feel its time to awaken like Rip Van Winkle to discover times past with smiling faces, and perchance the wish for fun and mischief?

Sitting at the dear piano- my fingers itch to play tunes of merriment and possibly-naughtiness!!! Perchance some of the neighbours may care to call hello, and visit with a twinkle in the eye💐😇

Male, 45, married, (Nathan)

I am a busy, working man with a few children. I am happily married although our sex life is not great, she is not in the mood enough for me.
I spend time outside a good bit, gardening, keeping bees, fixing things. When I am outside I notice the sexy women in the neighborhood and hope they notice me.

Lite once said something about a housewarming. It would be nice...and also a way to welcome our new neighbour subgreen

Smiles to all residents and those who might be passing tonight.:)

Starting a good rocking rythum on ole Grandma's Joannah!!

"lets have a party tonight!" :):D

So Rosa, will you please join me as our Hostess with the Mostess? And Rosa, might you like to invite others you know.
Subgreen it would be great if you came too

Shall we have a suitable 'getting to know you' theme? :D::catroar:

Lucia, age 50, single

I am in the third month of house hunting, as I am growing weary of my apartment and my lease will be up soon. I usually scan web sites and apps for leads, but sometimes I just like to drive around and look for signs available houses.

I remember coming down this particular street a few months ago after I took a wrong turn. Something told me to come back this way. Perhaps there will be something available. I will not know without looking.

"Hi, Lucia, My name is Tulip. I am a little bit like a gatekeeper of this community. Every time when somebody new stops by or when a resident shows up I would greet them with a sense of duty.

Well, nice meeting you. Glad to have your attention on our neighborhood. As you can see, it's nice and quiet here. Everybody is pretty much well behaved. You don't see any signs of trouble do you ?

…...Are you looking to buy or to rent a house? I don't know of any for sale now but I do know one for rent. Hope the owner comes up to the occasion and shows you the interior of their house."
