IC:
Sarah was a fairly attractive girl but quite shy from an early age. At 18years of age she enrolled in college on an academic scholarship. All through the previous years of school she was quite a loner and a nerd quite frankly. The other students hated her when a teacher used the Bell Curve because she always threw it out of whack with her constant high grades.

Sarah stands at 5’8” and has a very trim body shape due to running every morning before school and eating well. Her eyes are a blue that would remind one of the clear waters of Hawaii. And her hair is a beautiful blonde color that is almost platinum. But, she has always kept her hair in a long braid that reaches the small of her back. Her true beauty is hid behind shyness and eye glasses.

As for dating- she never has. Many girls who were not even half as attractive as her have boyfriends. Sarah has always been too shy and too into her schoolwork to let a boy know she was interested. Though, just like most teens, she has had her share of crushes and fantasies.

During her Freshman year of college her parents died in a tragic airplane crash. Her college education was taken care through her scholarship, her grandparents set up an allowance account through a bank that only allows her to withdraw a certain amount of money monthly and her parent’s home was willed to her. The house was very close to campus so her parents saw no need in spending money for her to live in a dorm. But, with her parents gone the house seemed very lonely and a bit intimidating at night. So, she took a roommate when her grieving period had come to an end.

This roommate was a Sophmore named Anna. Anna was very different from Sarah. She was almost Amazonian in statue. Anna stood at 6 feet tall and spoke with a Russian accent. Anna also had blue eyes (though a bit darker) and blonde hair (though a bit darker) but her personality was starkly different. She was tough, intimidating and not shy at all. If she was interested in a guy, she would walk right up and tell him no matter who was around. These two did not seem like likely roommates. But, Anna would make a big impact on Sarah’s life.

The two were roommates for about 6 months before Anna told Sarah a secret. The secret came to light after a very interesting conversation. One afternoon Anna and Sarah were watching a talk show on television. The show dealt with men who intentionally made a woman think they cared about them just to use them. Some used the women for their money and some used them for sex. Sarah turned to Anna, “Man, these guys are jerks!” Anna said in her Russian accent, “I break man in half for tricking me.” Sarah laughed, “I bet you would Anna. You could actually pull it off too. I unfortunately would probably be one of those women who get tricked.” Anna squinted her eyes, “My friend does not get tricked. I make sure of that. I break man in half for you.” Sarah laughed, “Yes, I believe you would. But, I would love to teach some of these men a lesson. I wish I could be in charge. I wish I could make a man grovel and beg at my feet and then step all over him.” Anna grinned wickedly, “I waited long time for you to talk this way. I help you use man as rug.”

Sarah was confused, “Y-you mean literally? Really?” Anna nodded her head, “I have secret. Can I trust you?” Anna cocked her head to one side and said, “Sure. What is your secret, Anna?” Anna sighed and turned the T.V off with the remote. After sitting it down on the coffee table she turned back to Sarah, “I belong to secret Dominatrix society. I take you and show you.” Sarah closed her eyes and slowly opened them as if she thought she were dreaming, “Anna, does the term Dominatrix mean the same thing in Russia as it does here in the United States?” Anna nodded her head, “Yes. You will come to meeting tonight. You will trust me, no?” Sarah sighed, “Well, I am curious. Sure, I will trust you. But, you must not allow anyone to do anything to me. I will be there as your guest. Make sure everyone knows I am an observer only.” Anna smiled wickedly, “I take care of you. No one touch my friend Sarah.” She made a fist and slammed it into her other hand, “No one dares challenge Mistress Anna.”

Sarah smiled, “Anna, are you the leader of this group?” Anna leaned back against the couch, “Society started in Russia. I help set up here. I president here.” Sarah felt relieved that she would be going with the person in charge. And going with Anna period meant no one would bother her, “Ok, Anna. I want to go for sure.” A few hours later they were ready to go. Anna drove her black humvee to the location. The location was in a warehouse out in the middle of nowhere. But, to get to the location they had to pass through security gates that required a special pass card to open the gates. Once they drove up to the warehouse Sarah saw lots of cars scattered all about outside. There were lots of women hanging around outside drinking and smoking as well. It would seem that there was an all female party going.

Anna parked the car and when they got out people rushed over to greet Anna. Anna made short work of introducing her friend and “prospective member” to all of the women outside. They stood outside of the heavy steel doors and Anna rested a hand on Sarah’s shoulder, “You will see things. Things you thought were only in imagination. You will stay close to me and do as I say. You must not offend anyone here. You do as I say and stay close and you offend no one. You understand, yes?” Sarah took a deep breath to ready herself, “I understand, Anna. I am ready.” Anna removed her hand and turned to the women who stood as guards and nodded her head. One solely slid one of the doors open and Anna escorted Sarah in.

Sarah gasped at the site before her. There were men who seemed to be in the role of sex slaves. Some were totally naked and some wore leathery outfits. There were even some wearing women’s lingerie. What they were doing was even more shocking. They moved about on their hands and knees and acted like dogs. The licked toes of the women, received whippings, paddlings and anal sex via strap on dildos. There were men shackled to bed and walls as well. Some even had machines fucking their asses. There were men who begged not to be hurt and men who begged to be hurt. There were men screaming out in pain and men screaming out from pleasure.

Sarah found herself to be quite aroused by what she saw. She had a lot of fun that night as some of the Mistresses allowed Sarah to have fun humiliating their slaves and whipping them. On the way home Sarah felt ashamed of her behavior and sexual desire. Anna chuckled, “You make good Mistress. You will come to more parties. You need slave. I need slave. You have basement. We get slaves and keep them in basement.” Sarah choked on her own saliva, “Wh-what? You’re kidding!” Anna glanced over to her with a serious look, “I no kid. You find guy for you. I help capture him. I find guy for me, you help capture. I teach how to be Master. Deal?” Sarah felt nervous, “Anna…I don’t know about this. It seems wrong.” Anna looked as though she was getting annoyed, “You have fun at party?” Sarah shook her head yes and Anna looked back to the road, “Then, you become Mistress. I help.” Sarah finally agreed nervously. Anna then said, “You start looking at guys on campus. You find right one. We capture him. We make him slave. You have lot of fun.”

The next day at school Sarah did notice someone she found intriguing. He was attractive and seemed sort of passive. She had lunch with Anna out on the lawn and amazing she saw the guy again. She pointed him out to Anna, “He looks good.” Anna grinned wickedly, “I see him before. He is attractive. Might make good slave too. You watch him. Follow him. Learn his schedule. Become friends. Meet his friends. Make him trust you. Then, we take him.” Sarah agreed.

"The thing is, all interactions involve power balances and power transfer." The firm tenor voice sounded loudly over the small Mexican restaurant, causing a few heads to turn toward the table where three men in their early twenties sat. "Anytime you interact with someone, even right now, with us just talking, there is a balence of power that exists, and you give power to others." "Right now you two are giving me power, allowing me to dominate the conversation." The speaker was the shortest of the three men, when standing he would be under six feet by four inches. His wiry, athletic frame made him appear smaller still, though he did not appear scrawny or under-fed. "Inherently, we ascribe power to large people or good looking people, but that's hardly all." His face was an appealing mix of delicate and strong, a definate and strong jawline, yet high fine cheekbones that made him the kind of handsome that verges on being pretty, but remains masculine. His emotive eyes were bright with interest and delight in his subject, his wind styled black locks almost falling into his field of view. "We're socialized to attribute power in other ways too, to status symbols, positions, and so on." "But it's all voluntary, and that's the key." "We can choose if and how much power we give over to someone in a situation." "But only if you are both aware of the transfer and have the will to shape it."

There was a sigh from one of his companions, a much larger man in height and girth, with short brown hair and green eyes that closed with resignation behind his glasses. "Just once it'd be nice to eat lunch with you two and talk about sports or something." "But no...it's politics or psychology or the social condition." He opened his eyes, and smirked at the small man. "By the way, Jason...you're dominating the conversation of the whole restaurant talking that loud."

The third man laughed, "Which proves the point, right?" He had black hair as well, extremely short and well gelled, with the body of a man who worked out a lot, and brown eyes.

The first speaker, Jason, flushed a bit. "Ah...yeah." He raised his voice a bit more, "Sorry about that folks!" "I got carried away." Then he cleared his throat, quieting down. "But, yeah Danny, you got it." "Any of these people could have tried to take power from me by doing something to quiet me down, but they didn't." He nodded, lifting his glass of iced tea high. "I would have been willing to relinquich power as well, but nobody took it." "Thus, I make a scene and prove my point at the same time."

The man with the short hair, Danny, just shrugged. "It seems like a pretty easy idea, not to knock your research or anything, you know?"

"Danny's got a point there," the tall man said, his voice a brassy rumble compared to the others. "I mean, you could argue that a lot of the legal stuff I have to learn is about eliminating that socialized power imbalence."

Jason just snickered, "Yeah, sure, Oliver." "That's why it isn't always the guy who spends the most on lawyers who wins the case."

Oliver gave Jason a dirty look, "It's not a perfect system, but that's the intent, I think we can agree on that." "To make everyone equal in the eyes of the law."

Danny was eyeing his empty plate, "If we're going to avoid heavy subjects, the point of law may be something we want to avoid."

Jason cocked his head to the side, "The man's got a point." "I'd agree with you to a certain extent Oliver, but we haven't got the time for that conversation."

Oliver glanced at his watch. "Tch, no we don't." "I've got to get moving, guys."

The three men left thier money, along with a generous tip from Jason and ambled out of the restaurant. There was a brief consultation about lunch the next day, then the trio broke up, Danny and Jason walking back toward campus as Oliver got into his car and drove off.

As the two young men made thier way back, Jason felt eyes on him. He made a few noises as Danny spoke, looking around the area. The last few days he kept feeling like someone was watching him. A couple of times, he thought he'd noticed a blonde girl that was always there...but he didn't see her now. The watched feeling remained, but as they got back onto campus, Jason relaxed. He felt safe here. Maybe he shouldn't...but he did.

He tuned back just in time to hear Danny say, "So, this power transfer thing you're studying...sounds kind of...I don't know...touchy?"

Jason shrugged, "I suppose so." "It can make people uncomfortable in a lot of ways." "It forces you to think about things you never have before, who you give power to and why." "A lot of the reasons we give power to others...aren't reasons we'd like to own up to." "Fear, lust, laziness...dark parts of the psyche." "It doesn't have to be that way though...it can be motivated by good things as well." "Most folks just don't have good reasons if they think about it carefully."

Danny thought for a few moments, "I guess not." Then he grinned and winked, "Kind of has a "whips and chains" element to it too, huh?"

Jason gave Danny a hard look, a faint flush on his cheeks, "it does figure into those sorts of...ah...arrangements, but that's not what my research is about."

"Couse not," Danny grinned wider. "I'd never think that." "Not from the guy who bends over backwards to do whatever is asked of him." "The guy who always helps everybody."

Jason rolled his eyes, "Oh, go sweet talk one of your freshmen, Mr. Faculty Member." "I've got work to do before I leave Friday."

Danny chuckled. "Going off into the woods again?" "Man...don't you ever get tired of that?"

"No way." "You can't imagine how great it is to be out there, city boy." Jason tugged his jacket a little closer as a cold wind blew. "Besides, there won't be many weekends for it left." "I don't have the gear for serious winter camping, so I've got to seize the moment." "You know, you and Sally should come with me sometime." "I think you'd like it, and the outdoors...well, let's just say nature can be a great aphrodisiac."

Danny rubbed a hand through his almost non-existant hair. "Maybe in the spring...besides, after we move her Mom tomorrow, we'll be spending the weekend getting everything situated." "You really don't have to help with that, you know."

"Nah, I want to." Danny's girlfriend Sally's mother was moving to a new, smaller house, her husband dying in a car accident before Danny or Jason had met Sally. Sally was a real sweetheart, and she was good for Danny. So when she mentioned the move, Jason had volunteered to help out. He knew it would make them all happy to have another strong back, and that would make him happy. "Don't worry about it."

"Fine." "But I'll get you a drink sometime, okay?"

"Sure." Jason sighed, "Come on, man." "We'd best get back to our respective offices and get some work done."

***********
Hours later, Jason walked up the steps to the small attic apartment he rented. The house had a staircase on teh outside that allowed him to come and go as he pleased without bothering the couple who rented it to him. He'd finished up his paper, proof-read and edited it, and finally turned the thing in. His last chore of the semester. He was free. Well, until the new year, anyway.

He'd gone to the rec center afterward, and once again while working out he'd felt once more that he was being watched. As before though...whoever it was couldn't be seen. If it actually was anyone. It was the end of the semester and he got kind of squirrelly around then. In a way, he almost wanted there to be someone. A cute female someone. He hadn't been on a date in a long time...usually too shy to ask out a girl. He faked it well, but his height made him feel insecure, especially when he looked at the other guys around him who were competeing for the ladies.

Anyway. The day was over, and tomorrow was going to be fun. He had nothing to do. It felt like it had been years since he had nothing to do. He'd head into campus, and just see where the day took him.

Between Anna and Sarah, they learned much about their target. His schedule, his classes, who he hung around and even that he would be going camping soon. It was decided that it was time to be introduced to the target who's name appeared to be Jason.

Sarah was a scientist who was majoring in Chemistry and oddly enough, minoring in Art. She specialized in sculpting. On this day after attending her Chimistry class she "accidentally" bumped into Jason while walking down a hall. Her books "accidentally" fell to the floor. She said, "Oh! I am so sorry! I am so clumsy. My mind drifted off to the new compound I am working on in Chemistry class." She then imediately bent down and began to pick up her stack of books.

She had an odd mixture of books. It was odd to see that a scientist was interested in Art as well. Her books consisted of "European Art History", "Well Known Dead Artists", "Famous Scupltures of the World" and 3 books relating to Chemistry. There was also two notebooks. One was black with a label on the cover with "Chemistry. Sarah St.James" wrote on it. The other folder was white with sketches drawn alll over it. The label for it read, "Art. Sarah St.James". Sarah rambled on, "If I am the first to crack this new compound I will win a research grant and internship for the Summer." She looked up to him, "I'm sorry. I do tend to ramble." Everything she said was the truth. But, bumping into him was no accident though she did a good job of making it seem like it was.

"The problem with this paper are my sources," Jason thought as he wandered down a bustling hallway. "The BDSM culture has some of the best texts and studies on power transfer, but they're hardly considered good academic resources." "How can I bridge that gap?" "I need that information...but how can I make it acceptable in an academic context..."

He was so intent on figuring out an answer to his problem, that he didn't notice the girl with her arms full of books until he'd forcefully bumped into her, sending them all tumbling to the ground. His blue eyes widened as he did see her, a quick intake of breath his immediate reaction. She was his height, and though her clothes obscured her body, she looked to have a pleasing, if slender figure. Her hair was a lustreous braid of platinum that fell over one shoulder, and behind her glasses the pure blue of her eyes beckoned to him like the sea. She was simply one of the lovliest women he'd even seen on campus. And he'd just knocked all her books out of her hands. Nice start.

Jason flushed and all but fell to his knees, assisting her in picking up the scattered texts. "Don't apologize, Miss, there's no need." "I should be apologizing, I was thinking about what I need to do for my reserach as well, and I wasn't paying attention." "My fault." Even her voice was pretty.

Jason had gathered up most of her books, but kept them in his hands. "I'm very sorry, Miss." "Please, let me help you with these, as a way to make it up to you." "I don't need to be anywhere today, and I feel bad about bumping into you like that." He then smiled, a bit shyly. "Um, please feel free to keep rambling also." "I'm not much of a chemist, but my discipline and chemistry are involved with each other a lot these days, I'm in psychology." He stayed down, waiting for her to rise before standing himself. "I'm sorry...my manners are really escaping me today." "My name is Jason." "Jason Shaffer."

He hesitated a moment, feeling nervous in front of this beautiful fellow academian. "Ah, I don't mean to be rude, but...you're Sarah St. James that had that statue in the art department gallery last semester, aren't you?" "The clay sculpture, "Loss," I think it was called." "I thought it was amazing, very evocative and powerful." He flushed again, a bit brighter, "I saw your name on your notebooks, I should have asked before I used it, sorry about that."

He then laughed ruefully, "Now I'm the one rambling, I haven't given you a chance to answer at all." "Please let me carry these for you, it's the least I can do." "I'd like to buy you a cup of coffee also, but at least let me help out with these."

Sarah couldn't help but giggle. She had found another nerdy person like herself but this one was handsome to boot. She had admired him from a distance but being up close was wonderful. She inhaled slowly and stood to her feet. She said, "Ok. You may carry my books. Never had a guy do that before." She then giggled, "I think we are both to blame here. I think we were both so into our studies that neither of us was paying attention to those around us." She blushed slightly, "I was heading to the cafe for some coffee, actually. If you are not heading to class, I wouldn't object to chatting over some coffee. And yes, I am the same Sara St. James you spoke of. My brain has a passion for Chemistry but my heart seems to have a passion for sculpting. We can talk more about that over coffee if you'd like. I am honored that you liked it so much."

Jason stood, his arms full of books, a faint blush on his cheeks as he smiled. "Thank you, Miss St. James." "I'm honored that you accepted my invitation." "I'm glad to help out with your books, all part of the service, you know." Damn, how lucky could he be? She wasn't pissed, and she seemed...to like his incredibly lame invitation and his gushing over her art.

They started off, him following along beside her to the coffee shop. "I don't know that it's all that odd to have an interest in science and art, really." "The are linked somehow...the greatest scientists have almost always had artistic hobbies or aspirations." "The seperation may not really be seperation either...it could just be two different ways of heading toward whatever your goal in life is." "Whether it's to know the universe, or just to know yourself." "I think that's why I love psychoogy so much...but at the same time, I feel a real need to leave other people and society and go into nature." "I do a lot of camping, even during the semester, just to get out there and feel the natural world, you know?" "I get a lot of work done out there too, thank God for laptops."

Jason then flushed a bit brighter as they reached the coffee shop. "Sorry, didn't mean to rattle on like that." He grinned sheepishly, "I just love those kinds of conversations." Minutes later they sat in a dimly-lit corner of the cozy cafe, large mugs steaming in front of them. Jason allowed himself to admire her for a few moments, then leaned back in his chair, taking a sip of his tea. "You know, I really was blown away by your sculpture." "You really have a gift." "If you don't mind my asking, what got you started in art?" "Why do you do it?"

Sarah enjoyed listening to Jason as they walked. They may of had different interests but they both seemed to understand the need of opposites. He was interested in the study of the human mind. Yet, he liked to be secluded as well. She liked science yet had a passion for art as well.

Once at the cafe she smiled as they sat across from each other. When he asked about her art she sighed, "Let me get some coffee first. I'll be right back." She then walked to the counter and ordered one Irish Cream with cinnamon sprinkled on top. She then purchased two pieces of coffee cake and walked back to the table.

She sat the coffee and two pieces of wrapped coffe cake down. She herself then sat down. With a smile she slid one piece to him, "This is for you. Consider it my end of the apology for our little accident. You can apologize to me at a later time." She giggled, "You know, a new car would be a grand apology." As she sat back she sighed, "I'm just kidding. Now, you asked about my sculpture. Well, I am unsure if you ever heard of my Father, Richard St.James. He too was an artist but he was known for painting murials. In fact, the murial on the ceiling of the library was painted by my Father. My mother was also well known but in the science field. Her name was Elizabeth St. James. A well known Physicist. As you can imagine I grew up with high achieving and goal oriented parents. They always had high expectations of me. Yet, they wanted me to follow my interests as long as I strived to be my best. It just so happens that I became a mixture of both parents. I always loved science and art. Though my parents expected a lot from me, they were very good parents. They always supported me in all I did and always put me ahead of their busy schedules. Our home was one of high expectations and a lot of love. Well, last year my parents both died in an airplane accident that you may have even heard of on the news. The cause was said to be impurifications in the gasoline that caused the lethal explosion. The artist part of me grieved by making that sculpture of my Dad. The scientist part of me has a goal of making cleaner and safer fuel for airplanes."

She wiped a tear away and held the hot coffe cup between her hands. She sighed and looked up to Jason, "You know, I think you and I both understand that opposites are usually prevalent. You study the human mind. Yet, you chose seclusion as well. There doesn't seem to be much use for Human psychology camping alone out in the woods. Yet, it seems to work for you. The same is true for me with Chemistry and Art. I even grieved with the combination of both. It is kind of like Ying and Yang, Good and Evil, Night and Day. They all seem to have an opposite that works well together. My parents were opposites in just about everyway. Yet, they were so in love. We had a very happy home. They supported each other too. When Mom was having a hard time with research he helped to keep her from losing her mind. When Dad couldn't get that perfect brush stroke, Mom would calm his mind. Now, what actually got me interested in sculpting and chemistry is a whole other story"

She sipped the coffe and then looked back to him, "Looks like we have another thing in common. We both like to rattle on." With a giggle she began to unwrap her piece of coffee cake.

Jason listened in silence, his eyes sympathetic and warm. "I'm tempted to put off my apology indefinately, if it means more time with you." "Not meaning it to be a line, but I think I could listen to you ramble and be pretty happy doing it."

He was quiet a moment. "I'm sorry for your loss, Sarah." "I can understand what you're going through," he smiled sadly. "I'm an orphan too...it happened three years ago, my sophomore year of my undergraduate degree." "My parents were remarkable people, not famous, but successful...both pulling themselves up out of poverty, being the first of thier families to go to college, and making a difference int he world from the ground up." "My dad, he was an engineer, but his real strength was his leadership and organizational skills." "He traveled around getting power plants running, and keeping them working." "He settled into an office the last few years of his life, to spend time with us." "He's the one who got me into camping and the outdoors, he was a great outdoorsman." "My mom always did what she could to help people, to make life better." "She was working in a mental hospital when my dad met her, then she worked at and eventually managed a domestic violence prevention and counseling agency." "She was going to night school too...studying psychology." He shok his head, leaning back in the chair. "She wanted her own practice." "But...it never happened." "Drunk driver." Jason's voice was thick with grief and bitterness, "He didn't even do any time." "Just a fine."

Jason sighed then, lowering his head. "Sorry...I didn't mean to take things in that dark of a direction." "It just...well." "I know how you feel, what it's like to be alone." "I've got some good friends but...it's not the same as a family." "If it helps, it does get better...you never stop missing them, and the pain never really goes away...but it gets easier to bear." He took a drink from his cup, "The one truth that going out into the woods, then back here has shown me most clearly, is that life finds a way to go on."

He looked up, pushing the dark emotions away. "Hardly a fittng subject for coffee with a pretty girl." "You know, what you just said, about opposites." "You have a good point...but you know, I never thought of my love of psychology and the outdoors as opposite." "They are, certainly, one concerned with humanity and one with removing yourself from humanity." "I always felt it was...complementary." "In the wild, I'm alone with my mind." "I can study it, apply what I've learned." "I think our modern world has a lot of distractions in it...being out there...I can avoid them." "Focus my energies on what's important, if that makes any sense."

"But such opposites as you mentioned, they do exist...very commonly." "They're important as well, no doubt about it." "Light and Darkness, Fire and Ice, Master and Servant..." Now what had made him say that? "In a way, my studies deal with that kind of relational opposition."

THIS IS A CLOSED THREAD AND YOUR POST DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD. PLEASE, REMOVE YOUR POST, TROJACK.

Sarah smiled to Jason as he spoke of spending time with her. She thought to herself, "Yes, soon enough you will be spending a lot of time with me indeed." When he spoke of the loss of his parents her heart went out to him. She understood all too well how he felt.

When he spoke of camping and what it did for him she grew interested. He went on to speak of opposites again as she sipped away at her coffee. But, then he mentioned something that almost made her choke on her coffee, "...Master and Servant." She coughed softly and said, "Yes, where there is a Master there is a servant. Where there is a servant there is a Master. The question is does the servant serve better when serving by choice or force?" She blushed a bit, "I'm sorry.... I guess that subject interests me a bit as well. Why don't you tell me about your studies dealing with this subject and I am curious how you can study it unless you observe it or are involved yourself. Which do you do? Observe or involvment?"

Jason flushed a bit at her questions; both about serving by choice and the question about his involvement. For a moment, he had a mental image of Sarah in a black leather corset and stockings, holding a chain theat went to the leash around his own neck.

He blinked, shaking the image away. Wow...that was something he'd have to analyze later. Where had that come from? "Sure, I like talking about it, so you may regret that you asked." "It's reare to find someone else who appreciates the idea." "My study is about power transfer in relationships and interactions." "See, in any interaction...us sitting here talking for instance, there is a balence of power." "That power, or authority if you prefer to think of it that way, is a finite thing." "There's only so much." "A large part of the interaction depends on the levles of power, and how power is transferred from one person to another."

He leaned forward, his eyes bright, interest apparent on his face. "We're in a transfer situation right now." "When we sat down, let's say for the sake of arguement, that we were on an equal level." "Just now, when you said you wanted me to tell you more about my studies, you were taking power to move the conversation the way you wanted it." "For a number of reasons; my own interest in it, my personality, your personality, how pretty you are...all factors and more made me let you take that power, and accordingly follow your wishes." "I could have tried to talk about something else, which would be an attempt to take power back, which could lead to a conflict." "But by doing as you asked, I allowed you power over me."

Jason's smile became wider, his speech a bit faster, more excited. "That's what really interests me." "When it comes down to it, we all can resist authority, try and take power for ourselves." "It doesn't always work, but we can try." "However, in reality, we all give power over us to others on a regular basis." "Why?" "What factors come into these decisions?" "If we are submitting to another...what are we getting out of it?" "Why is it advantageous to us?" "Hell, IS it advantageous to us?" "Those are the kind of questions I want to answer."

He then noticed how long he'd been talking, "Er, sorry about that." "I know I bent you ear...but it's just so fascinating!" He then blushed once more, "Ah...as to your other question..." "Well, it's hard to get clear cut data on, to be honest." "Most of what I do is observe and record interactions, then go back and analyze the power transfer as it took place, and determine what the possible influencing factors are." "There's only one...er..."society" that has obvious and inherent dominant and submissive positions that could be observed...but it lacks...academic...credibility, let's say." "I doubt anyone would consider any data collected from that group authentic." "More's the pity." He hoped that his answer would satisfy her to the point that she wouldn't notice that he had not answered her question about whether he only observed or was involved in it.

Sarah couldn't help but giggle at his enthusiasm on the subject. When he called her pretty she blushed a bit as well. She also agreed with everything that he said. She truly did understand and found it quite interesting.

When he mentioned a "society" she wondered of it was the same society that she was now a member of and her roomate was the Chapter President of. This thought made her a bit nervous but she realized that even if he did speak of the same society he would not know she was a part of it.

She did lift an eyebrow when he was finsihed because she knew he did not directly answer her question about involvement. Sarah decided to playfully test her "power" with Jason even though they just met. With an exagerated sigh she said, "Power over another.... I wouldn't know much about that. If I were to say tell you to stand up and cluck like a chicken if you'd like to go out with me some time would you? Let's say if you were interested this would be the only way I'd say yes. Would this set the pace of our future interactions? Would it set a tone for me always having control and would this make you want no more interaction or is this what you are looking for? Since you did not answer my question before I am left to assume that you have never experienced being dominated or controlled by a woman other than perhaps your mother. I am no psychologist but I find it interesting how most men who had domineering mothers tend to fall for domineering women. Do you fit into that category as well? I know these are a lot of questions and I am being very forward, but I get the impression you like that."

Sarah had never been so forward and direct with the opposite sex in all her life. But, Jason seemed to make it easy. She sat back in her chair with a smug grin almost hoping to fluster him. He admitted he gave her control and she decidely took even more. She imagined him at her feet begging to simply be touched by her. This thought made her heart race and a certain part of her anatomy had awakened with moisture....

Jason blinked at how easily and firmly she took control of the situation. He flushed, and started to speak once, then stopped. Her tone of voice, her posture, that smirk...she was right. He did like it. Even though it had taken him by surprise.

He was only so flustered for a moment or two before quickly recovering, "Wish I could say that I didn't," he murmured before speaking louder. "Well, Sarah, to start at the end of your questions, I have not ever experienced that kind of...ah...domination by a woman before." He felt a slight thrill as he said it, hoping that it didn't show physically. Although talking about this with her, and the way she was doing things was prompting the beginnings of a physical reaction under the table. "Save perhaps my mother...I have always found strong women to be most attractive, I won't deny that." "So I suppose I do fit into that category." He was silent for a moment before smirking himself. "Does that please you?"

Jason didn't pause more than a heartbeat. "As to the rest of it...if you asked that of me, and I did it, then it would definately set the tone for future interactions." "Such a surrendering of power on my part, and the according display of your authority over me would result in a shift that would be long term, and could become permanent." "Certainly in our next several interactions, it would be a factor." "I could try and take back some power, but I would be starting from a low position, and possibly could never get back to where I started from."

He leaned closer, the smirk changing into more of a roguish grin. When he spoke, his voice was low and throaty. "The really interesting question you asked though...is if I would want you to dominate me or not." "It depends on the woman, Miss Sarah St. James." "Though you're the most deserving I've ever seen...I don't know you enough to really answer that one just yet." "If we ever get to that answer...it'll be fascinating to see what it is, won't it?"

Sarah felt victorious at how she apparently flustered her new friend. She really liked him and knew when the day came for him to become her slave she would be most pleased. The twinkle of excitement he had in his eyes let her know that he would most likely enjoy it as well. Even though he tried to hide his obvious excitement or interest at the very least.

When he finished speaking she could not help but giggle at him. She cleared her throat and said, “You are most intriguing, Jason. I have never met someone like you before. We have not known each other for more than an hour and yet we have talked about control and domination. I look forward to future conversations with you. I like how open you are. And your inquisitive highly intelligent mind intrigues me. I am glad we bumped into each other. It looks like I have finally met someone who I can have interesting and honest conversations with.” She sighed and leaned in closer. In a soft voice she said, “I hope my forwardness and teasing has not scared you away.” She smiled softly and her light blue eyes sparkled as they looked into his eyes, “I’d like to experience camping with you sometime.” She leaned back into the chair but did not lose eye control, “I think I do spend too much time in the lab. Communing with nature may be good for me.”

Sarah knew he was not scared away because of that gleam she saw in his eyes. But, she knew she’d better play the game for awhile. And if they went camping she’d use that time to draw more out of him and get closer to him. She knew he was the one and she’d just have to wait him out. He was worthy of her time and she was more than willing to help him with his research by putting him in the slave perspective. Sarah thought perhaps she would not have to “capture” him after all. He may walk right into her trap willingly. She liked the thought of his initiation not being forced or violent.

Jason smiled and blushed as Sarah spoke so fondly to him. Her eyes never left his, maintaining contact...and control. He knew how important eye contact was to control. So did she, it would seem. Despite the face that he knew he had lost ground, he found that he rather liked how he was feeling. That look in her eyes...on her face...strong, victorious, and very sexy.

He smiled, determined not to buckle completely. "Scare me away?" "Sarah, I found you very interesting before...and you're fascinating now." "I like your forwardness...it's a rare thing, and admirable." "As for the teasing, well," he winked, "I can't say that I dislike that either."

He swallowed, thinking of the possibilities of being alone with her in the outdoors. "Being in nature does everyone good, if you ask me." "I think it would be inspirational also, for your work and your science." "I'd love to take you camping, honestly." Jason chuckled, "I'm going this weekend, actually...I'm inclined to invite you...and you'd be welcome." "But considering that we've just met...well, I don't want to be prsumptive or move too speedily on what could be a...remarkable relationship."

Sarah was pleased at his verbal reactions to her. She already knew by looking into his face, but it was nice to hear. She cleared her throat, smiled and said, "Well, Jason. I find it quite irritating the limitations society puts on friendship between the opposite sexes. Who says there has to be a relationship or even intimacy between a male and female just because they go camping together? And seeing that we just met I am sure neither of us are the least bit interested in a relationship at the moment. A friendship perhaps, but not a relationship."

She sighed and leaned back, "Besides, I don't see you as a threat. You don't intimidate me anyway." She grinned evily, "And I am sure I don't intimidate you." She chuckled slightly at the thoughts in her head that she would not share with him. SHe then continued, "I say we go camping this weekend if you don't have any problems with that. I mean what better way for two people who just met to become friends than going camping? Although, until I met you, I would have never went camping wiht a stranger like this. But, what is life without chances? I think it keeps life interesting. So, what's it going to be Jason? Are you going to conform to society's standards or are we going camping? Be forewarned though, I know nothing about camping."

Jason felt that h is next words would be important, taking a long drink from his tea before answering. He had the strangest feeling...as though he had come to a great crossroads in his life. Yet this was no great event. He wasn't graduating, or getting married...just talking to a remarkable woman. Yet he could not shake the feeling.

However, more than that was the thought of going camping with Sarah. A montage of images flitted through his mind, some merely platonic, others much less so. What a choice...

"Well, being an educated male learning a male dominated field, one could say I do conform already, without any say in the matter." He grinned, "I even played football in high school." "As for not being intimidating...well...I'm of two minds about that." If she found him too sexually and physically nonn-threatening, she wouldn't be interested in him as anything more than a friend. He hated when that happened. "Perhaps you'll see some things that will change your mind, I rarely get to show off my "manly" side." He laughed.

"However...I would be very happy if you would come along with me this weekend." "Let's go camping." "The way you talk about it makes the possibility intruige me all the more." "Please come camping with me." He smirked then, "Although if you know nothing about it, you'll have to follow my lead." "The woods can be dangerous, even now, if you are not careful or unknowledgable."

Jason leaned back in his chair, "By the way, when I said "relationship," I meant our relation." "In a general sense, you know?" "Any relation between people, a friendship, an emnity, a loose association, all those are relationships." "I did not mean it in the...romantic or sexual sense." He blushed a bit, "Though I will admit...that I wouldn't be averse to either."

He drained the last of his beverage, setting his cup down with a contented sigh. "So." "When should I pick you up?"

Sarah chuckled as his behavior. He wanted to seem possible of being so manly yet he blushed. She saw him as a lot of fun.

She leaned back in her chair, "Well, I have no classes Friday. If you do not either we can leave early Friday morning. You could pick me up at say.... 7:00am. We could stop for breakfast on the way. If you have afternoon classes, you can pick me up afterwards. I am Flexible." She then reached in a pocket and pulled out a pen. She took a napkin from the table and wrote her address down along with her phone number. She slid the paper to him with, "215 Maplewood Lane" wrote in the center and her phone number wrote under that, "524-5698"

She smiled girlishly, "I have not given a guy my phone number in years. Well, not the right one anyway. Please, do not let my phone number or address fall into the hands of anyone else. And when you come, my roomate will be there most likely. Her name is Anna and she can be quite intimidating. You'll see what I mean when you meet her."

Sarah then stood up and stepped to the side. She then pushed the chair under the table, "I have to be going. Is there anything I need to bring for the trip? I know I need comfortable clothes and shoes. And I suppose a sleeping bag and my hygiene products, but is there anything else I'll need for this camping trip? If you want to you can just call me tonight and discuss it if you like."

Jason stood as she did, mentally chiding himself for not getting up to pull her chiar out for her. Although...maybe that would have been a bit much. "Well, if you have a flashlight, you should bring it, as well as eating utensils and equipment, I've only got one mess kit." "Any medicine you might want, a canteen if you have it...rope." "If you ahve any rope, you should bring it." He shrugged, "There's always a need for rope."

He could think of a few non-caping related uses for that rope too...tantalizing images that he tried to dismiss as soon as they entered his mind. "That's all I can think of now, I'll call you tonight and run through the check-list I use to camp." He watched for a silent moment, wondering why he felt both thrilled and uneasy. Why be uneasy about this?

Jason then grinned and lifted a hand to his forehead in a brief salute, bowing his head slightly. "I'm afraid I must be off, getting such an early start tomorrow, there are things I must get done today." "I'll call you later, Sarah." "And see you tomorrow morning!"

Jason made his way back to his office, his thoughts and feelings rather chaotic. This girl...this woman...she was intruiging in a way he'd never encountered. So strong and forward...he liked that a lot, but it was a bit unnerving as well. Like she was looking at him for a different reason than he looked at her. Aas he sat in the room, silent save for the slight humm of the computer, his eyes slid along the book shelf, resting on a text about the psychology of serial killers. His eyes narrowed.

"No, no...I'm just...being paranoid." Yet he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something important. He rose, pacing around the small room, shutting the door as he passed it. The eyes...someone had been following him. Could it have been her? No. If it was her, what did she gain from it? And why bump into him like that? Why disrupt the watching? Because...because she was ready to act?

"Gah!" Jason flung himself into his chair, "I'm driving myself crazy!" He sighed, then took a deep breath. "IF someone is watching me, it's not Sarah." "That's what I'm going to believe." "I will trust her."

Still...best not to be foolish. He reached for the phone, He always left a copy of his camping agenda with one of his freinds, in case something bad happened. It was one of the first things he'd learned about the outdoors, always have someone back home who knows what the plan is. "Oliver?" "Yeah, it's me." "Listen, I don't want to take up much time...but there's been a slight change in my plans for this weekend..."

*************************

Jason called Sarah that night, and they talked for perhaps an hour about the trip, what she should bring, all along he felt that push/pull power struggle going on between them. In the background, he could hear someone else moving, and another voice speaking every once in a while, though he couldn't make out any words.

The next morning, his old truck pulled up in front of her house. It was really quite something...and he looked at it for a few minutes before getting out and walking up to the front door. It was a large house, well taken care of, and in the early morning light it almost looked to be watching him as he went up the steps to the door. He took a breath to steady himself, then raised his hand and rapped sharply on the door twice.

Sarah told Ana all about her time with Jason. She told her about the weekend plans too. Ana was very pleased, "You will have first slave very soon, Sarah." When he called Ana was around and listened. Every so often she would offer a comment.

The next morning when there was a knock at the door Sarah was in the restroom. Her roomate, Ana answered the door. Her Amozonian stature seemed to shadow over Jason as it did most people. In her thick Russian accent she motioned for him to enter, "You come in. Sarah will be ready soon, Jason. Sit. Wait."

As he sat she looked down to him and pointed a a finger to him, "You take care of Sarah. She is like sister. She gets hurt, I snap you like twig." She pretended to snap a a twig and smirked at him.

Sarah entered the room and smiled to them both, "I see you two have met." She motioned to Ana but looked to Jason, "Jason, this is my roomate and best friend Ana." She motioned to Jason and looked at Ana, "Ana, this is my new friend Jason." Ana smiled and cut her eyes to Jason, "Remember what I said." She then turned and went up to her own room.

Sarah turned to Jason with an apologetic smile, "I'm sorrry. She is protective and doesn't quite have the American customs and manners down yet. She would only mean harm if you did hurt me." She shrugged and looked by the door, "Anyway, I'm ready. I have two backpacks and one sleeping bag. Oh, and the rope." She looked down at her clothing, "I think I have the right sort of clothes on too." She was wearing blue jeans that were not tight but not baggy either. They seemed to fit just right around her lushious hips. She wore a blue falnnel button up shirt and back hiking boots. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail.

Sarah smiled, "So, ready to go?" She walked to the door and bent down to pick her things up.

Jason blinked when the door opened, his eyes widening slightly. The woman who stood before him was simply...huge. She had at least four inches on him, and was likely heavier too. But unlike many tall women, her figure left no doubt that she was, indeed, female. Her strong voice rolled out a moment later, the Russian woman obviously expecting him.

He looked around carefully as he entered, before taking the seat Ana indicated. Sarah really did have a nice house...it must be comfortable...but kind of lonely too. He was brought out of his musing by Ana's threat, and at this his eyes narrowed. So. She thought she could push him around because he was smaller. Like that was something new. He couldn't deny that she was intimidating...but he wasn't about to start backing down from people now. Even the way she spoke to him...giving orders, almost like he was hers to command!

As he opened his mouth to speak, Sarah glided into the room,a smile on her face. After a brief introduction and another threat, the Russian giantess moved upstairs. Jason watched after her a moment, then shook his head. No use getting bent out of shape about it.

He smiled back at Sarah, "I can understand that, I suppose." He shrugged, "Next time I'll have to arm wrestle her, just to see if she's as strong as she looks."

He moved toward the door, deciding quickly not to make a joke about where she had gottent he rope from. Before she could grab her bags, he ducked down and picked them up. "Please, allow me." He grinned, "Yeah, you picked out the right clothes all right." "I'm not sure that flannel ever looked as good as it does on you, if you don't mind me saying so." Jason was wearing a similar outfit, rugged and worn blue jeans, with brown hiking boots. He wore a long sleeved green flannel shirt, the thin stripes in it brown and a pale yellow. The two buttons were undone, showing that he had a purple t-shirt on underneath.

The two walked out into the cold morning, Jason's old truck sitting in the driveway with traces of mist clinging to it. He took a moment to secure her bags in the bed with the rest of the gear, then joined her in the cab. Before he started the car, he looked over, a pleased expression on his face. "You know...this moment, right here...just before setting out...there's a feeling of adventure, a lifting of the heart." He sighed, "I love that feeling...it's one of my favorite parts of all this."

Then he turned the key, the tired engine responding after a moment. Minutes later, then were heading down an all but empty state road toward the park, about 20 miles from town. "I don't know if you've been out here before, but it's really something about now." "With the leaves not gone yet, and all." He looked over at her, struck once more with her beauty as a few thin rays of sunlight illuminated her profile. "I've never had a guest on a trip before, what would it please you to do, Sarah?" "Any requests?"

Sarah enjoyed the hunor about arm wrestling Ana. Ana was indeed a strong one. She laughed within herself because he had no idea waht Ana was really like.

When Jason picked up her gear she smiled apreciatively. As he bent down her eyes grew just a bit wider as she admired his form. He looked simply adorable in his worn faded jeans and flannel shirt.

On the ride there she was a bit quiet. Not that she was being anti-sociable, she was just still sleepy. She leaned her head against the window to her side as he spoke. When he asked what she'd like to do she said, "You know, I have never been out here. I have never even been camping. But, I would like to roast marshmallows. I have always heard of skinning a twig and skewering marshmallows. Then sticking them into the fire. And smores. I have never made them but it seems to be a thing people do when camping. I would also enjoy some scenic hiking."

In her mind she thought, "And I'd like to use that rope to restrain you and have my way with you under the stars."

Jason chuckled, "S'mores and marshmallows are traditional, that's true." "I don't do them by myself, but I brought some along thinking you might wish to do that." "So, that's definately on the agenda." There was something else in her eyes as she finished speaking, an odd gleam behind her glasses. There was something...intruiging and somehow dangerous about it.

He turned his full attention back to the road for the moment. "Hiking is no problem either, I also like to climb trees and rest in them from time to time..." "You'll also get some gourmet camp cooking, if I do say so myself." He grinned, "I am at your service for the weekend."

Now what had brought that comment on? Hmmm...he seemed to have those thoughts around her a lot. For a brief flash, he saw them in his mind's eye: Him naked and tied at the wrists and ankles with rope, spread eagle. Sarah stood next to him, her eys bright, a pleased smile on her face. The orange light of the campfire painted the scene as she straddled him..."uhh, I mean, night by the fire is good too...gives you a lot of time to think." "There's just something primal and inspiring about the flames."

He shook his head, a blush on his cheeks. He really had to stop thinking about things like that. "Ahhh, here we are." They pulled into the park, and after a brief check-in at the ranger station, were driving along the back roads to Jason's favorite campsite. The area was back in the woods perhaps fifty feet, a canopy of fall foliage providing shelter. The clear area was alrge enough for the tent, a tarp with a stove, the fire and a few camp chairs. the woods went deeper past it, and about sixty yards away was a wide, cold stream that came down out of the mountains. Jason bathed there, and liked to go swimming and skinny dipping ther was well. Though he doubted that would happen here unless he was very fortunate.

They pulled to a halt, and Jason got out. He walked into the center of the clear area, his arms spread wide. He took a deep breath. "They're sleepy the trees...but you can still feel thier breath on your body...it's so cleansing...even better if you're n....er...new to being outdoors." He blushed again, "Ah, would you like to set up camp now or talk a walk around first?"

Sarah smiled to Jason knowingly. She could tell he was having some thoughts he didn't want her knowing about. She inhaled the fresh crisp air and smiled to Jason, "I say we set up camp. Let's get that part out of the way. Then, perhaps we can go exploring a bit." She walked over to him and with a hint of flirtation said, "I'd love for you to show me around this place you are so familiar with." She chuckled innocently, "So, what should I do first to help set up camp?"
