Ennui is cured by distraction with the coolness.

Like say, a visit from Mlle delaPlumeBleu or Gary Chambers or someone. Or a new facet of one of the quirked out people here and elsewhere suddenly laid upon the cosmic plate. Gleaming.

It spreads because it is never gone. You learn ennui when you undergo puberty, and from then til enlightenment it is with you always, and all edifices of the mind have it beneath their foundation.

One person telling us it is boring and we look down, and sure enough there it is.

I like the Space Needle. I can see it from the window at work. It's pretty. The revolving restaurant made my sister seasick. But they had a good white-chocolate-raspberry cake.
