Eva was right there with him as they both were close. "Cum with me daddy."she said. Wasn't long after as they came together. Panting as she snuggled up to Frank once he laid down. Just in time as Maddie began to scream and cry loudly. Eva raced to her get bottoms back on before heading to Maddie. Soon comforting the young girl in her arms. "Shhh I am here."she said. Picking Maddie up and carrying her to Frank's room. By then Maddie was back asleep as Eva walked in.

"She will be sleeping here...she had a nightmare."she said. Crawling to the bed as Eva laid down with Maddie close to her. "I hope a consular will help her, I can take to her to see mine. To see if she can suggest someone."she said.

Frank looked concerned. Listening to Eva he said "thats a good idea. Let me know what they say. Kissing Eva on the forehead as he said "good night." Wishing the sleeping Maddie goodnight as well as the trio drifted off to sleep.

They soon all fell asleep until Eva woke the next morning. Carefully getting out of bed and gently woke Maddie. Who clung to her again she carried her back to her room. Both got dressed for the day. Heading down as Eva make breakfast for all of them. Soon getting Maddie to eat as she filled Frank's thermos with coffee. Smiling before giving Frank a kiss. "Have a good day at work."she said.

Frank kissed her goodbye and said "sorry your having to do all this yourself. I promise to come home straight after work. Let me know what your counselor recomended." Looking at the little girl as he kneeled so he was eye level with her and smiled warmly saying "goodbye Maddie be good for Eva okay."

Maddie soon smiled before she gave Frank a hug. "I will."she said. Eva didn't mind taking care of Maddie. "Alright and you better get going, because we have to let Max out before we head out."she said. Eva let Max out before getting her bag and a bag ready for Maddie. Getting Max back in before they headed out.

Maddie got to play with others as Eva was in class. Once done, Eva collected Maddie and took her to see her consular. Who gave her a few recommendations before they left. Once home Eva let Maddie play in the living room with Max.

It was right on time when Frank pulled in the driveway. Another car pulling in behind him. It was someone from washington's child wellfare bureu. The lady in a nice suit followed frank in as he said "Eva Maddie someones here to see you." The lady said "hello I'm Dana Lawrence. I've been assinged to review Maddie's case. Now police have confirmed that she has no living relatives. I understand Eva was it? that you have shown interest in adopting Maddie in lieu of her entering any kind of foster care?" The woman studying Eva trying to see if she was truly interested in Maddies well being and a good fit for her. Frank watched the exchange giving Eva a supportive smile.

Eva walked over to meet the lady that came in with Frank. Maddie seemed cautious as she hid behind Eva. "Yes and I am....I was the first to get her to speak after everything. She is attached to me and our dog Max."she said. Soon sending Maddie to go back and play in the living room. They all sat at the table. "She has been through a lot and alright has woken up from nightmares. I have recommendations for her to see a consular that specializes in trauma for kids. I also have child care in place for her."she said.

The wellfare worker nodded and said "okay and your currently a university student right now correct? Will you be able to financially support her." Frank spoke up and said "i'm Eva's step father I stayed in her life after her mother my late wife passed away. I will gladly help support maddie till Eva graduates." The worker nodded and checked off some stuff and said "and from our records you make a decent enough living to support a home this size with this many people." The worker nodded and said "alright i'll be checking in to check on your progress with Maddie Eva." She put some papers on the table and said "sign these and i'll turn them into the courts to legally make you Maddie's adoptive mother.

Eva listened and nodded her head. Though concerned as Frank revealed that he was her step father. Signing the papers before the lady left. Maddie soon walked over to Eva, "You're my new mommy?" Eva smiled before placing her on her lap. "I could be that nice lady is going to help so I can be."she said. Setting Maddie back down as she got up to make dinner. Having Maddie help her in the kitchen before they set the table. Allowing Maddie to play some more as she watched from the kitchen.

Frank smiled at maddie's reaction to Eva signing the adoption papers. When Maddie returned to the living room to play Frank said "don't worry about her knowing I was married to your mother we still won't tell Maddie and the wellfare lady would of probably been able to find out from records. We still really only need to hide our relationship around my family.

Eva smiled before resting against Frank. "This makes me happy, though let your brother know we are a group of three now."she said. Giving Frank a kiss before starting dinner. Putting a pizza in as they needed something quick. "Once I get word I'm officially her mom, we will look for a consular for her."she said.

Frank nodded and said "I'll call him tomorrow." Hearing her plan he said "im sure the child counselar will be able to help her." Holding Eva as he kissed her neck. He said "are you sure your gonna be okay being a mother this young?"

"Yes because you didn't have to raise me but you choose to. The consular should but also us. Max helps keep her calm and distracted. Though I need to head to her school and work things out tomorrow. Plus she will need clothes and other stuff. Mom left me money....a lot."she said. Resting back against Frank as she smiled. "Mom wanted me to use the money to make a difference."she said.

Frank nodded and smiled he said "you are the most kindhearted wonderful girl me and your mother couldn't have been more proud of you." He woudl of gradly helped her with carring for Maddie. Once dinner was ready he said "maddie dinner." Getting the little girls attention as he helped her into her chair.

Eva was very thankful for Frank as he was going to help woth Maddie. Getting her to sit for dinner as Eva dished it out. "Tomorrow we will be stopping at ypur school and going shopping."she said. Maddie nodded her head , "Okay mommy but do I have to stay there?" Eva shook her head and reassured Maddienshe would be going back next week. As the police needed a statement from her. Basically all her stuff was evidence until otherwise. Maddie helped cleaned up from dinner before she yawned Eva scooped her up and took her upstairs. Getting Maddie changed before tucking her into bed. "Is that man my new daddy?"asked Maddie. Eva nodded her head, staying until Maddie fell asleep.

Frank was standing at the door way. A part of his heart swelled as Maddie asked if he was her new daddy. Another part of him felt for the young girl. Having lost her mother by her father's own hands. Wondering how anyone could do that to someone they loved. When maddie was finally asleep he said "hopefully tonight she will get some good sleep. It can't be healthy for her to keep losing sleep over nightmares."

Eva nodded her head before leading Frank to their room. "I know you feel bad about not really being able to help but I can tell Maddie doesn't mind. Though wi will you be able to take Friday off? I was thinking we could spend the day with Maddie."she said. Changing into one of Frank's shirts before sitting on the bed.

Frank listened and nodded he said "I havent really used much vacation time so taking one friday off shouldn't hurt things at work. I'll put in the vacation day request tomorrow." Giving her a loving kiss as he said "have I told you lately that your the most beautiful smart foughtful woman in the world." Changing into his sleep pants as he got ready for bed.

Eva smiled before crawling under the covers. "No but I k ow how much I mean to you. Perfect I was thinking a trip to the zoo before it gets too cold. Do something fun with her."she said. Soon snuggling up to Frank before kissing him. "Gives us a chance to do something as a family."she said.

Frank nodded and said "sounds great love. I'm sure maddie will love that." He kissed Eva and said "good night love." Soon turning off the lights as the pair got some sleep.

It would be a few hours before a crying Maddie came into the room. Eva woke up before helping Maddie in and letting her snuggle up to her. Making sure Maddie was asleep before she went back to sleep. The next morning Frank would wake up to seeing Maddie joined them again. Maddie woke up and looked to Frank, "Daddy?" He could see she was still upset from last night.

Maddie clung to Frank as he carried her downstairs. Max followed them downstairs. Maddie was wondering if Frank was going to make some breakfast. "Daddy I'm hungry."she said.

Frank smiled he said "alright sweety what would you like egg? or maybe some pancakes?" He had some instant pancake mix in the cubbord. While he held maddie and let her decide he opened the door. Letting max out in the back.

"Pancakes!"shs said. Maddie walked over and climbed up onto one of the barstools. "Can we make some for mommy?"she asked. Eva soon woke up to an empty bed. Getting out as she headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower. Dressing in jeans and a maroon colored long sleeve shirt. Walking down to see Frank with their daughter. Giving Maddie a kiss before she gave one to Frank. "Morning you two."she said. Maddie smiled before Eva helped her down. They all sat at the table for breakfast.
