The Student. Close.

I offered her my arm once she was out of the car, and we walked together to the entrance. The doorman opens the door for us and hosted smiled at us.

Reservation for Porter at 6:00 I said to the hostess. Yes Mr. Porter, this way please. We followed her to hour table and please that it was lightly away from the other tables and by a window overlooking the garden.
I thought it couldn’t have been more perfect.

I smiled at Kelsey and I was sure she noticed me looking at the garden. The hostess smiled and walked away, and I pulled the chair back so Kelsey could sit down, than I sat down across from her.

“You like sitting by the window or you rather sit away from the window.” I asked, but I was sure she wouldn’t want to move.

"I'm fine, thank you," she said, smiling. She smoothed out her dress and subtly watched him over the menu.

"I'm fine, thank you," she replied and he smiled at her. He was looking at the menu to see what the main dinners were, and then remembered that Kelsey motioned the pasta. He looked up to ask her and met her eyes, and paused for a moment looking at her realizing she had been looking at him.

“Are you going to have the pasta or have you changed your mind,” he asked her with a smile. He didn’t get her answer as the server asked what they would like to drink.

“Would you like some wine Kelsey,” or something else?

"I'll take Chianti," Kelsey said. "And yes, I'm still having pasta," she added, laughing.

John looked at the server.

You heard the lady. Make that order for two, with salad, and bring a bottle. He told the server.

"So, what are you going to get?" she asked.

He smiles at her for a moment before he replied to her.

I told the server to make that order for two. He said laughing softly....

"That's awesome. “She said.

John saw her blushing but said nothing just looked at her with a smile. “Somebody had too much to drink already.” He said laughing.

"I've barely had a sip," she teased right back. “I know. I was just teasing you. Am I forgiving? He asked smiling.

John took a sip of his wine. Looking at her over the rim of his wine glass.

She winked. "Of course you're forgiven," she said playfully, taking another small sip of her wine.

She winked. "Of course you're forgiven," She said.

John lowered his glass looking in to her eyes.”I don’t know about you, but I could really get use to this Kelsey.” He told her.

"I am more than willing to get used to this," she said, smiling. Kelsey set her glass down and rested her hand on the table, subtly testing him.

"I am more than willing to get used to this," she said, smiling. John saw Kelsey put her hand on the table, and placed his hand over hers.

“Do you really mean that? He asked squeezing her hand gently. I’ve wanted to do this for a while now Kelsey.

She smiled as he squeezed his hand. "So have I, John," she admitted softly. "And yes, I mean that."

"So have I, John," she admitted softly. "And yes, I mean that." She said to him

John leaned over the table while pulling her hand and place a kiss in the palm of her hands.

I’ve had a feeling that you felt the same for a while, I just had to make sure you felt the same before I said anything.” He told her

She gave a slight shiver as he kissed her palm of her hand. "I understand completely," she said. "I am guessing this is why it took you so long to contact me?" she asked.

John felt her shiver as he kissed her palm. "I understand completely," she said afterwards. John still held her hand in his, not wanting to let go just yet.
"I am guessing this is why it took you so long to contact me?" she asked.

“You’re right Kelsey.” I couldn’t afford to be wrong. I was afraid that if I was wrong I would’ve lost both a friend and you.”

"Well," she said, smiling as they continued holding hands and he explained his reasoning for his reluctance, "I'm glad that you did. I didn't want to be too forward as a student, you know?"

"I'm glad that you did. I didn't want to be too forward as a student, you know?" She told him.

“I had suspected that much when I buzzed you on Facebook. It was then that I knew how you felt.” He told her.

"Facebook, bringing people together," she said.

John smiled at her when she squeezed his hand. “I suppose you could say that in our case anyway, but I would’ve told you eventually.” He told her.

"Before or after the semester ended?" she teased, her smile bright.

John laughed softly looking into her eyes. “No Kelsey I had decide to ask you out after the discussion we had about the human sexuality, and when I saw you on line I took that first step and you if you would to have coffee with me. The way you said yes, told me it was time I ask you out on a date and dinner was my first choice.
