The Summons...

Egan

Egan slowly walked through the underbrush, keeping himself paralel to the road. It was a good days travel back to Shota's, meaning the group would have plenty of time to get free if they didn't just stand around debating. Well, it was no worry of his.

Silently he backtracked the group's path. He'd meet the Mord-Sith before they could get to far, giving the group more time to run. He hoped they'd take good care of the horse he'd been using. In case he lived long enough to see it again, which he doubted he would.

Elkire

As Elkire arrived at the group, they seemed to be discussing something important. "I wonder if this has anything to do with the tracks I saw," he thought. He waited patiently until a young man addressed him.
"What do you need to speak with us about, sir?"
Elkire bowed deeply, then spoke to the group. "Pardon my interrupting, but I have been summoned by someone to a place near here. I am looking for a woman by the name of Alicia. Do you know of anyone by that name?"

Listening to Egan talking about staying . I had final heard enough. This was a group effort eithere we all go or stay.I walked uo to Egan."Dam you old man you aren't staying. Why fight them when we have a chance to evade them. I know we will eventually have to fight them but not today. This group is stay togthere eithere we live togthere or die togthere. We where all selected because we have something specail about us all. That means for this to work we all need to be there. So dam it you are need. So eithere you come with us or we will all stay here and die"

He turned around, staring at the man. He was already a goodly distance from the group, and he bothered to come all the way out here to express an opinion that was a stupid as bothering to voice it.

"Just because we were all selected does not mean that our need for the journey will come at its end. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, yet on any step you may stumble and fall. Getting all of us killed would damn the world to the Keeper's grasp. Is that what you want? The quest must not fail. I am Mord-Sith. I will be fine. There is a good chance I will survive and be able to join up with you again. But if I go with you, they will catch up. Mord-Sith on the hunt are demons on your trail. They will not rest, so I must divert them from the way. I know what I am doing, what the risks are. I am prepared to die for the quest. If you can not understand that one or more of us will die, then you are a fool. We can not stay forever as a close-knit group who sings around the fire and jokes with each other. The Keeper, evil ruler of the Underworld, who tortures his own for all eternity, wishes to end all life, the lives of a few is not a high price to pay. Go. A life lost in battle, to give the rest of you time to escape, is a life well-used. But if we all die, who will save the world? Go. When you get to the boundry of the New and Old Worlds, you will be safe. Until then, I must fight. You other cannot help in this. Each of us was chosen because, yes, we can add to the group. Each of us, then, must undergo a trail of our skills. This, is mine. Yours will come. If I pass the trial, I will join up with you again in Renwold. If I fail, I will not have died in vain. But do not forget, I am a Mord-Sith trainer, and I have taught these women all they know, which is but a mere fraction of my knowledge. I will be fine, this is the life I was born to, the life I must die to. Now, please, go, or I will have to kill you myself. In this, you will only hinder me. Please, I ask of you one last time: Go?"

"Ok if that is that way want then good. But there is two things. One we can not take your horse to be we can take ours eithere. We will have to leave them here. Second good luck. I expect to see you soon." I walked away not giving him a chance to make a smart reply. I walked over to the group" We will leave our horses and only take what we need. I have rope and climbing tools. It should be enought to get in the cave safely. We need to go now. There is no more time to waste. I will wait for the rest of you but i will not wait long. The last thing i need is somone see my equiment."I walked toward the direction of the hole hoping the oter would follow. When I finally arrived I started setting up my equipment to go down.

Egan

He paused, looking around. He glanced upwards, and sighed. "Dear Creator, please, let them not ditch the horses. No one's really crazy enough to go somewhere on foot, when they're being chased, are they?"

And a resounding bit of silence, he shrugged. "I don't know why I bother. First they all want to argue with me on what I'm doing, then this. If they want to ignore every bit of advise I give them, fine. Dear Creator, just keep them from doing anything too stupid, okay? Not that I'm one to speak, with what I'm doing. Oh well, good spirits, please, watch over them."

Thus, he started off again.

After arriving at the hole. I seen the horese stuck in the hole. I set up my equiment and climbed down and free the hores.I started. After free i seen that with a littmore room it would be big enough for a Horse.I had the rope we could lower the horses down this would take time but it would be worth it. I start knocking rock away. When I finished I tied the rope togthere. We would need to knock the horese out to put them down. I setup the ropes and went back to get my horses. Just as I had left them they where all standing around. "I have a plan I have wided the cave and have enough rope to lower the horses down. They will need to be knocked out to lower them. But it can be done. Less go!" I waited to see who would help and who was staying to die.

Kyle

Kyle stares at the man blankly for a moment.

"Are you crazy?! We can't lower a horse down into a cave. Let ALONE all of them. Thats not even mentioning trying to get them back up at some other point. That is ludicrous! If we aren't going into the cave then we are rushing through their circle of men. If we ARE going into the cave, we aren't taking the horses. Thats insane. Use your head, man!"

He rests his head in a hands for a moment, easing his fingers from his temple to his forehead in an extremely stressed and frustrated movement.

"Egan was probably right, losing the horses at this point is a bad idea. Especially voluntarily doing it. But vulk, in the name of the Spirits, lets do something!"

Jerahmeel

Kyle starts asking am I crazy. I walk up to him look him in the eye."Oh so you are so dam smart now less hear your dam plan. Come on mister know it all. Please let us know your great plan. Is it to sit here and be killed by the Mord Sith.So unless you have a better plan I dont give a dam what you think of my plan."

"I don't claim to know it all, but I do know that trying to lower eight horses that way 1,000 pounds each at the least, into a cave... I know that is madness. Everyone mount up, if you have shields, get them out and ready. We'll keep the most vulnerable in the center and the shield bearers to the side."

Kyle turns to Alicia and mounts his horse.

"Maybe you could use your magic to help deflect arrows?"

Turning to address the rest of the group, looking around as he speaks loudly:

"We'll just ride on, like we have been. If we see them we charge and bust through, we won't stop and fight. If they're on foot, we'll out distance them quickly. If they're on horseback then we'll flee as far as we can and pick our spot to fight those who've followed us. Lets go people, move!"

Jerahmeel

"Less go then I am tired of waitng here. I have a sheild and I am ready."I sat waiting for the rest to get ready. This was taking to much time we need to have a leader. Someone that would have the last word. I tought it would be Alicia after her power show. But that seems not. I dont have the experince to lead. I am not foolish enough to assume the role but we need a person that has the last say. But that is for tommorow.

While the 3 gentlemen argued Cullen unmounted his horse and led it by the reins into the mouth of the cave. He silently stood there waiting to see what would happen next.

Egan

He could hear the arguing from his position. Resheathing his sword, he stomped out to the group, glowering at everyone. He pointed down at the tracks.

"You people never listen, do you? There are only twenty-five, here. All the men will be seperated in detachments of this strength, spread far apart. The Mord-Sith would signal when we met them, and the circle opf men would close in. Until then, if you move along quietly, you can slip between them, since they won't have sentries posted. These men are spread from Agaden reach until probably a day's travel from here. If you watch for signs of activity, and stay away from them, you should be able to skirt most of them. Much better then going into a cave which probably doesn't lead anywhere, and even if it does, it could have you going all the way back to the Reach. Remember: the Mord-Sith aren't sure where we are yet, so the men will be spread loosely as they follow. They know where we're going, and are on our trail. But as of yet, they don't know where we are. Besides, they'll follow you into the cave, which will be easier to follow you in, since there are only so many ways to go. On foot, they'll kill you."

"So, just move on. Here, here's the map Shota gave to me. Now, instead of hanging around with your thumbs up your asses as you wait to be killed, how about you get moving. And you, here, you lost your horse, did ya? Take its tack and saddle up mine. Ride it. I'll catch up ta ya when I can. Now stop arguing like children and follow the sorceress."

He gave Alicia the map, turned, and ran off before they could argue with him. He had important things to do and couldn't sit around with them, debating whether to use the right of left foot first when they start walking.
