Terri fidgeted in the waiting room. She really hadn't wanted to be in therapy, but if it kept her parents off her back, she was willing to try anything. She knew they meant well, but she didn't think talking to some guy for an hour once a week was going to help much.

Everything had been fine until the week of graduation. She had been looking forward to spending one last summer with her high school friends and finally going all the way with her boyfriend, and then starting college in the fall. That had been the plan until the night of the accident.

She had been with her boyfriend in his truck, down by the dam. The summer had officially started, and she was allowing her curiosity (and Tommy's urgency) to get things going a little faster. She didn't think of herself as a prude, but she was careful. She was still a virgin, but she had promised Tommy that they would do it this summer. They had been dating for a year, and he had always been patient with her, but now that summer was closer, he was definitely getting tense. So was she, for that matter, so the idea of giving him a handjob had seemed like a good compromise. It would calm him down, it would give her a chance to see what all the fuss was about. She had only seen cocks in porno, and she believed in porn about as much as she believed in sci-fi. Entertaining in small doses, but pretty much for nerds, and not at all related to reality.

She had taken his cock out, and been relieved to discover that it was nowhere near as long as her forearm, and no bigger around than a banana. After a few minutes of stroking him in her hand, she had grinned nervously and asked if she could try sucking it. His gurgle had sounded like a yes to her, and she had leaned down, touching her lips to the dark red tip.

Neither of them had seen the maintenance van barrelling down the road behind them. The driver didn't see Tommy's truck in the darkness until it was too late, and though he punched the brakes with both feet, he was still going much too fast when he slammed into the back of the pickup. A length of pipe had shot off the roof rack of the van, and through the back window, striking Tommy in the head.

Of course, Terri hadn't seen what had happened. Just at the moment her lips touched him, there was a horrible noise, and the truck jumped foreward. Her head bounced off Tommy's belly and then off the steering wheel, and her body was thrown around like a ragdoll. Then there had been the sound of breaking glass and a wet splat of cum on her face.

An accident, people said. Poor Tommy, what a horrible way to die. Terri knew that she was being punished for being a slut. She knew that Tommy had died because she had wanted to suck his cock. And of course, when people saw her, they knew what she was. They knew why Tommy had died.

She deferred her enrollment at the university. She stopped going out. She stopped talking to people, except her parents, who she couldn't avoid. A year had gone by, and she hadn't left the house in a month. Her parents had finally put their foot down. She could start seeing a therapist and trying to work through her issues, or they would send her someplace where she would be forced to deal with it. This seemed like the lesser evil, but sitting in the waiting room was enough to make her want to scream.

"Terri?" a voice said. She looked up and saw an older man, who must be the therapist. "Come on in."

She stood up, and walked into his office as though she were on her way to her own execution.

Dr. Fredrick Johnson walked along the hall, slightly behind the obviously stressed young woman. In his arm, he held a thick, beige folder- her file, which was blank, as this was their first interaction.

As they neared the door to his office, Dr. Johnson leaned forward to pull it open politely. He caught a whiff of Terri's clean scent as they moved through, into the bare space. It contained his desk, a few plants, A chair for him to sit in while examining patients, and the classic psychiatric couch. Dr. Johnson motioned toward this last item, inviting Terri to put her head on the pillow, which lay at the end closes to the doctor's chair.

"Now," he said in a gentle voice. "Tell me, Terri, what's on your mind."

She shrugged her shoulders, looking at the stranger. How could she explain any of it to him. Even thinking of it made her breathless with panic. She knew what he would say, more or less. Some psychobabble about healing and working through what had happened, but she couldn't. There was no way she could face it again.

"I'm just here because my parents made me," she said. "There's nothing on my mind."

Nothing except that horrible fear that if she ever let anyone close to her again, that she would be punished again. But how could she explain to a therapist that god hated her? She dug her nails into her palms and stared intently at the rug.

The doctor could see signs of stress throughout Terri's behavior. He fingered the pill in his pocket. "Terri," he spoke softly, "This isn't going to progress at all if you're not able to share your feelings. I'm the kind of doctor who is usually in favor of natural remedies, but I want to try something with you today. It's just something to help you relax."

He placed the small, pale blue pill in her hand, and picked up a glass of water that had been sitting on the table.

"Once you're a little more comfortable, we'll be able to talk more freely about what's troubling you. And when we're done talking, I'll discuss with you what I feel would be the best treatment, if any treatment is needed. Does that sound alright?"

She had always been resistent to taking medication, because she didn't think it would help ehr any. At the same time, Dr Johnson seemed calm, and reasonable. He wasn't trying to force her to talk or anything. She wouldn't have to come back if she didn't want to, if she told her parents he made her take some kind of drug. And relaxing a little would be nice, she thought.

"OK," she murmured softly. She took the pill with a big drink of water, wrinkling her nose at the way it felt going down her throat. Nothing happened immediately, so she sat back in the soft sofa and stared at the books on his shelves.

"There we go. That should help put you at ease," Dr. Johnson continued in the same soothing voice. As Terri lay back on the couch, Dr. Johnson couldn't help but gaze at her body, from the highlights of her blonde hair, down to the large swell of her breasts, and long, slender legs. He had thought about a few patients in a less-than-professional manner, and Terri certainly had his blood flowing.

"Now," he said, "Take a deep breath, and tell me a little about yourself."

Almost immediately, she felt the edge of her anxiety starting to dull, and she slid down on the sofa, looking up at the ceiling. She started talking slowly, telling the story of what had happened to her. She just sketched the facts, and while she felt the usual rush of anger and guilt, it seemed almost like it was something she had seen instead of something she had experienced.
