The following "Part 3: The Pacific" was taken from a song. I'm basing the story after some lines of the song.

[Part 3: The Pacific]
Sparkle my scenery with Turquoise waterfall
With beauty underneath the ever free

Tuck me in beneath the blue
Beneath the Pain, Beneath the rain
Goodnight kiss for a child in time swaying blade my lullaby

On the shore we sat and hoped under the same pale moon whose guiding light chose you, chose you all

"I'm afraid, I'm so afraid of being raped, again and again, and again
I know I will die alone but loved.

You live long enough to hear the sounds of guns, long enough to find yourself screaming every night, live long enough to see your friends betray you.

For years I've been strapped unto this altar.
Now I only have three minutes and counting.
I just wish the tide would catch me first and give me a death I always longed for."

How long was this war going to go on? The battles were never ending, man against beast.

It was never ending. Day and night, someone was killed. A mother's son died...and for what? Words said at the wrong time, actions acted upon in a manner that wasn't agreeable with another...

Now, everyone was in danger. Not just man, but Elves and Beasts...Witches and Warlocks...Knights and Kings...

One race thought getting rid of the other in the most grotesque way was going to help end things. But that was not the case. It wasn't until alliances were starting to form that things seemed to get even more dangerous.

But there was hope. At least that's what the scrolls said. There would be one to bring peace to this land. But until then, things would get worst until they got better...at least that's how things seemed to work.

.....Her name was Rya, she was a witch. A Witch that had been captured by a Beast. The Beast's first thought was to kill the Witch. Of course, that was his first thought. But of course, he had conversed with others, they wanted to teach her a lesson, a lesson that would be heard by others through out the land and her death would be painful.

Just as her kind had made it for all those around. Yes, blame had to be put somewhere.

Rya was tied to an alter on this night, the night of a full moon. The night the tide was to be at it's highest. An alter was built, a feast was going on, tonight's special guest was to be killed when the full moon was at it's highest...at it's brightest...

((ooc: Looking for a male to come rescue the witch....then go from there. Please send me a PM first, showing your interest....do not post to this thread until I give you an OK.)

Lucane had been dispatched to save the witch. It must've been three, perhaps four days now. He had to arrive under stealth. The original plan was a small assault team. But their leader put a quick kabosh on that by getting everyone but him killed. That was an unfair statement, it was quite the glorious battle, they were outnumbered, fought well until only he alone survived.

But now things were more difficult. There was no time for him to retreat to gather more forces, so he had to brave it alone. He arrived on the day of her sacrifice, at least not a day too late, but he had been hoping to get here sooner. It was going to be that much more difficult, he would have to kill ... well probably everyone but her to be able to survive.

He watched as she was placed upon the alter, the priest, or what he assumed to be the priest, stood over her, dagger in hand. Luckily he had been sneaking forward, the shadows were his friends at the moment. As the priest raised his hands, ready to strike, was when Lucane struck instead. One shot from the crossbow was all it took, striking the priest and launching him to the floor.

Course that made the crossbow pretty worthless as he tossed it aside. There was a bit of chaos but not as much as he might've liked. It seems the guards were ready for any kind of trouble as they came rushing forward. Lucane was already over the witch, and he checked her out, deciding she was quite lovely, if he was going to die, then at least he would see something great. His sword swung down, cutting one of her wrists free.

He couldn't do more though as the first guard was upon him. He didn't parry the first blow, simply moving to the side so that it struck the ground. His back slash caught the guard across the chest, blood spraying everywhere. The second guard didn't last much longer as the blow to the neck finished him.

As three more guards approached, it was time for surprise two. Grabbing the vial from his cloak he threw it at the approaching guards. There was a fwoosh sound after the vial struck, a large ball of flame taking the guards.

This gave Lucane the time to finish cutting the bonds of the witch. A pity too, she looked rather nice with ropes wrapped around her. As he took his cloak, covering them both with it, he withdrew a second vial. As he broke this one, the two are surrounded by a pink smoke. When the smoke dissipates, the two are gone.

Elsewhere, not far from where they were before Lucane checks on the witch to see if she is all right. They'll have to be quick though, they are still quite close, the teleport potion is only short range.
