The Troll Under the Bridge.

Kethry gasped in surprise as Percy finally came through and revealed himself. She let out a cry of joy and flung herself at him, letting him catch her as his great arms held her close and she pressed herself close. "Oh Percy! You're alive! I was sure that you had died and would never return!" She said, burying her face against his great chest and letting out a sob of joy while her sisters gasped and gaped in shock.

Their beautiful baby sister was...HUGGING a vile, ugly Troll! With whimpers of disgust and shock, they hugged one another as Kethry raised her face up to Percy's and gave him a kiss. "Oh, I love you so! Please Percy...I tried to save you, I tried to help, but he...he tricked me." She began to babble, feeling self conscious and guilty. Her pretty face creased with concern. "I didn't want them to hurt you Percy...Father said if I..." She trailed off, blushing furiously, "He would let you go!"

The Great Troll listened to the words that spilled over Kethry’s full lips in a confused guilty babble. A single finger pursed to those lips, his eyes full of compassion the tilted his head to tenderly kiss his love.

“Hush my love you where betrayed by one you trusted to be a man of honor….”

He held his Golden haired lover close and with all the tenderness of a mother cradling her infant his hand stroked her shimmering golden tresses.

He held her till all her emotions ran their course.

With a soft sigh, Kethry pulled away to look at up her great giant love and smiled, "It's so nice to be see you again...I thought I'd lost you." She sniffled softly, but didn't cry, trying to regain some composure.

"My sisters..." She looked back at their horrified expressions and almost laughed then, "Percy...why are my sisters here?" She asked him, looking back up into his face with love and adoration.

Percy smiled down at his golden beauty, his arms around her waist.

“Kethry my Love is it not your custom to have family attend and witness your marriage?”

He tilted his great hairy head a bemused smile creased his hideous countenance, his features softened as he waited his loves answer. Then he bent close to her ear and whispered,

“Perhaps the would find being eaten by a Troll was not as bad as they might think at first.”

Percy teased his petite beauty.

Kethry blushed crimson, but smiled with joy. "OH yes...Oh Percy, I'd be honored to be your wife....as for my sisters...well, I hope they can find such happiness and bliss."

She laughed and twirled around and then hugged him again. "Oh I cannot believe this! I'm so happy, Percy my love."

The great Troll lifted her off her feet for another kiss that left her breathless and aching for so much more. Kethry was then gently set on her feet, while the great troll took her hand so gently in his own. She turned to her sisters and motioned them closer. "Come now...don't be afraid...you're attending my wedding. No harm will come to you." She assured them, feeling confident and alive.

And so the hideous Troll and the golden harried beauty wed. They shared a love and lust for each other that was the stuff that legends are made of, For as Hideous as Percy was on the outside he was as gentle and loving on the inside, and for as petite and weak as Kethry was on the outside she was as strong and determined on the inside.

Did they live happily ever after? This humble storyteller does not know yet you may ask their children and grandchildren and great grand children for perhaps they know.

A teasing wink
