The Trump! Show now airing daily

*tip of the cap, to justplainsean*

Feb 29, 2016

John Oliver recounted some of Trump’s history, the candidate’s feats began to sound more like mythology. The host cited PolitiFact’s survey of Trump’s truthiness, as well as his faulty short-term memory regarding his own provocative tweets, including one in which he accused Jon Stewart of not being “proud of his heritage” because the former Daily Show host had changed his last name from Leibowitz (never mind that “Stuart” is his middle name).

The segment is brimming with incisive commentary on Trump’s hypocrisy and frightening political views—including his call in to Fox News in which he advocated “getting to the terrorists” by killing their families—but this rancorous bit about Stewart’s last name led to some inspired rebranding.

After revealing that Trump’s own chest-puffing last name had been changed by a “prescient ancestor” from the far less rousing “Drumpf,”

John Oliver announced a campaign to “make Donald Drumpf again.”

I want a cap that says “Make Donald Drumpf Again"
(I hope that Drumpf caps outnumber the amount of
"Make America Great Again caps, very soon!)

"At this point, Donald Trump is America's back mole: it may have seemed harmless a year ago, but now that it's gotten frighteningly bigger, it is no longer wise to ignore it."

- John Oliver

"Even when you can demonstrably prove Trump to be wrong, it doesn't seem to matter," Oliver says. "You can hold his feet to the fire, but he'll just stand there on the stumps, bragging about his fireproof foot skin."

- John Oliver

"Donald Drumpf: a litigious serial liar with a string of broken business ventures and the support of a former Klan leader whom he can't decide whether or not to condemn."

- John Oliver

Jeffrey Lord, seen in all the "Conservative" publications.
(I cannot read anything from those sites. Instant headache.)

Jeffrey Lord's idea of defending Trump, is to attack Univision's journalist,
after Jorge Ramos was dragged out of Trump's photo opportunity by hired goons.
Jorge Ramos dared to try to finnish asking Trump his question. Trump did not want to hear it. Trump would not call on Ramos. Ramos shouted. Trump told his goons to"get rid of him."

This summer, Trump decided that painting all Mexicans with a broad brush was appropriate. Killers, rapists (despite the facts, that the story Trump was referring to, was about Mexican girls and women getting raped.) drug dealers, criminals.

Trump divided the whole, by singling out minority groups for insults.
Jeffrey Lord accuses Jorge Ramos of dividing the whole.
Accused Jorge Ramos of "dividing the country by race."
Lord brought Vester Flanagan II aka Bryce Williams, into the argument,
(The man who killed a TV reporter and a cameraman, in Virginia.)

Ramos did not kill anyone, but Lord decided that Ramos and Flanagan were equal in starting "a race war."

(Massaging the message. He did. He did not. He did this, but not that.)

Now, Jeffrey Lord is sliding the Ku Klux Klan and David Duke over to the Democratic party

"Donald Trump isn’t playing the game, although he certainly denounced him,” Lord said. “I mean, David Duke is a hardcore leftist. He’s an anti-Semite.”

Lord then argued that the KKK, which was founded by angry former Confederate soldiers during the Reconstruction era and terrorized blacks throughout the first half of the 20th Century, was associated with the Democratic Party.

CNN host Margaret Hoover did not correct her guest’s claims, but she dismissed the KKK as a hate group that was no longer affiliated with any traditional political party — but Lord wouldn’t hear it.

"... a recent study showed how the KKK played an active and enduring role in steering southern white voters away from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party."

The old party of Southern Democrats was completely different entity, compared with the modern Democratic party! It dates back to the Civil War.

The old party of Southern Democrats was completely different entity, compared with the modern Democratic party! It dates back to the Civil War.

As those who wish to slander the current Democratic party are wont to do (vetteman used to play this game all of the time before he turned yellow and asked to be frogged) Lord intentionally ignores the ideological realignment of the parties and the departure of the vast majority of the Southern Dixiecrats of the "Solid South" to the Republican party. It only takes a cursory look at electoral maps before and after to see the shift.
