I have a naive question and mahbe being newbie drives that : why is it that a literotica site has politics at all? i don’t get that.

The Politics Board exists to prevent the cranks from spewing their bile in the sex forums. If someone starts a toxic thread over there, it can be kicked over here to contain it.

I'm not so sure. Just for one example, the way Rightguide reacts to absolutely everything bad as the work of "the left" sounds a lot like what I would say if I wanted to masquerade as a right winger to make their side look stupid. And there are others.

Now, the posters who present as “non-partisan centrists”, and then rabidly bash Democrats, while only mildly criticizing republicans (and then only with rationalizations for republicans’ negative actions / behaviors), are definitely MAGAts in disguise. And they definitely are NOT doing what they’re doing to get a laugh or make a point through satire & parody: They are making serious attempts to gaslight.

There are many others of course. There are some legit magaheads as well, but the loudest, most strident and most dominant are FAKE.

The Hisarpy entity has over 15 active lit accounts, and trolls the forum constantly, often having sock-puppet conversations between him and his alternate screen names.

Rightguide is strongly suspected of being a Russian disinformation bot, trying to stir up divisions in America but on the Kremlin payroll (I suspect the same thing may be true of Saint Ann as well.) I say this not out of paranoia, because there have been at least two or three former users who have been outed as being Russians (TastySuckToy, Renard Ruse, and the left-leaning Politruk) and who have since slunk away.

Chadrone, also known as UltraChad, LakesideChad, Botany Boy and Goth Talk, has been banned on this forum nearly a dozen times.

Originalny has been banned over a hundred times. One Hundred. That sounds like an exaggeration, but seriously- it's NOT!!. I've been keeping track, I can even give you a list, but I have no interest wasting any more forum space listing all his past iterations.

I can understand, to an extent, the forum admins supporting the concept of freedom of speech, within certain limits and guidelines. But I am also puzzled by their lax enforcement of the rules, most particularly, allowing 1) users with multiple accounts (e.g. Hisarpy) and 2) allowing banned users to return to the forum with a new screen name, and doing nothing about it.
