As long as they avoid the use of insults, name calling, obscene words, and threats of violence against me, I do not consider those who disagree with me to be cranks. I do not consider their opinions to be bile.

I try to keep my opinions fact based and logical. I try to respect opinions based on experiences I have not had. I welcome challenges to my opinions.

No it does not. The fringe right wing whackadoodles here rely upon shitpost quantity to "drown out dissent" and push threads they do not approve of off of the front page. If you look at the "all time top posters" list, I'd estimate that a quarter of the top 100 are right wing political shitposters, many with over a QUARTER MILLION posts.
