The U.S. Has Much, Much More Gas and Oil Than We Thought.

We've had this conversation before. I was criticized once for stating the fact that no evidence of organic materials have been discovered below 18,000 feet.

That's because carbon and carbon compounds do exist below 18,000 feet....some as deep at over 40,000 feet.

I was criticized once for stating the fact that no evidence of organic materials have been discovered below 18,000 feet, yet oil is being drilled for at depths of over 40,000 feet. I posted the evidence and it was ignored by the enviro-wackos, who are in the business of regulating and managing society with myths and scare tactics about energy shortages they create with regulation.

Hydrocarbons are organic. You say oil is being drilled at 40,000, yet no organic materials have been discovered below 18,000...

What a Marooooon!

I stand corrected....

Geology? Nah...I'll stick to my plants and microbeasties.

People have toyed with the idea of using microbeasties to aid in recovering hydrocarbons. Upwards of 40% of petroleum remains in reservoirs after current production methods (including secondary and tertiary methods) have been employed. The petroleum is there, we just can't get it out of the source rock. If you can figure out a way to do that, you'll be a very, very rich man.

Microbes are amazing critters, with the prokaryotic extremophile's being some of the most interesting imo...I wouldn't put it past them.

I would be rich but I'm not that smart and IDGAF about oil...just growing the biggest healthiest plants possible to get the best yield and quality of produce possible. Which is funny enough, is done best through mico beasties...they are even the best pest/disease control out there.

Shit can your miracle grow for molasses, compost and various types of shit boys and girls...bat shit, bird shit, fish shit, worm shit, rabbit shit, horse shit, cow shit....your plants LOVE shit.

Anyhow...actively aerated compost tea's fucking slaughter salt based nutes, no comparison.
