The U.S. is now a Pirate Republic

BS. They were seized pursuant to federal court warrants issued based on sanction laws passed by Congress, Executive Orders, and federal regulations.
But the UNITED STATES has no authority to say Venezuela cannot ship their oil to Iran or Cuba or wherever.
 
Congress actually has the constitutional authority to issue those.
They also have the power to pass sanction laws as well.

International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA)
Passed by Congress in 1977, IEEPA grants the President broad authority to regulate international commerce after declaring a national emergency related to any unusual and extraordinary threat to the U.S. It is a federal statute, so it is part of U.S. law created through the legislative process by Congress.

Trading with the Enemy Act (TWEA)
Enacted by Congress in 1917 during World War I, TWEA authorizes the President to restrict trade and seize property in times of war or national emergency with enemy nations. It remains a federal statute passed by Congress.
