Daryl’s thin smile was upon his face the whole time she complimented him to the time he poured the honey over his own stack of pancakes and sat down on the end of the table. His head nodded to the spoken thank you from Kat. “Well, I would wait to thank me till you tried it!” he chuckled humorously. Daryl was an outstanding cook, but never wanted to really show anyone that softer side of him. It was a skill that he picked up recently due to the types of food he and Rick’s group had to endure, well not so much for him for he loved possum stew!
Daryl chuckled once more hearing the soft grown coming for Kat. His eyes moved over to her and the expression upon her face was far more worth the time it took making the breakfast for them. Taking a bite himself his head nodded with approval. “Needs some jam.” His critic mood kicking in on himself. His eyes shifted placing his gaze back upon the woman beside him. “How are you feeling this morning?” he pulled his staring gaze away from her back to the stack before him.
“I think if your up to it, we need to scour the town and see if we can find a vehicle and any other supplies.” He brought his look back up and over to her. “Only if you feel up it.” He added shortly after giving her a few seconds to think and calculate how she was feeling.
