The Walking Dead (closed to Elvenoff1)

Daryl’s thin smile was upon his face the whole time she complimented him to the time he poured the honey over his own stack of pancakes and sat down on the end of the table. His head nodded to the spoken thank you from Kat. “Well, I would wait to thank me till you tried it!” he chuckled humorously. Daryl was an outstanding cook, but never wanted to really show anyone that softer side of him. It was a skill that he picked up recently due to the types of food he and Rick’s group had to endure, well not so much for him for he loved possum stew!

Daryl chuckled once more hearing the soft grown coming for Kat. His eyes moved over to her and the expression upon her face was far more worth the time it took making the breakfast for them. Taking a bite himself his head nodded with approval. “Needs some jam.” His critic mood kicking in on himself. His eyes shifted placing his gaze back upon the woman beside him. “How are you feeling this morning?” he pulled his staring gaze away from her back to the stack before him.

“I think if your up to it, we need to scour the town and see if we can find a vehicle and any other supplies.” He brought his look back up and over to her. “Only if you feel up it.” He added shortly after giving her a few seconds to think and calculate how she was feeling.

She nods as She are. "I'm feeling pretty good. Ribs are sore, but it's tolerable." She said before taking another bite. "I want to get out of here as soon as possible. We've got a long road ahead of us and soon winter will be hitting. Its not a problem here. But the ststes we'll be travelling through, winter can be nasty." She said as she continued to eat. "We need to figure out exactly where we are and get a game plan for his we want to travel. A big SUV would be perfect as we can sleep in it." She mused, as she finished eating. "Besides with a truck, I'll be able to finish healing on the road. So I think we should leave as soon as possible. "

Daryl nodded several times agreeing with everything that Kat was saying for it was all correct. Travel would be more difficult in the winter and if they were going northwest to Washington it was going to be far much worse, however Daryl liked the idea of going there for more than likely there would be much more game to hunt for food, hell even a good black bear would feed them for a very long time.

Daryl finished his breakfast with a finer licking before looking up from his plate. “Well, I believe we are near Merriville, just about eighty miles southwest from Washington, DC.” Daryl pushed himself up from the table. “Well if your sure your ready to get moving I see no better time than getting out there and finding our vehicle that we want to take. Then we’ll scavenge around town and take whatever we can find, then come back here and load everything up and head out by this evening if everything works out. “ He rolled his eyes as nothing ever works out as planned.

He moved over to his bow, picked it up and turned back toward Kat, his head slightly tilted “You ready for this?”
