when Jack woke the next morning it seemed Nicole hadn't moved an inch.
He kissed her while gently rubbing her back for awhile before slipping out from under her and getting up. He made coffee and watched the news with the sound of so he wouldn't disturb her sleep.

Jack had wore out his wife as she was still sleeping. Few hours later she stirred in bed before waking up. Rubbing her eyes before she noticed her husband wasn't in bed. "Jack?" She called out. Wondering where he was as the TV was on.

Jack heard her call his name as he was getting coffee. He poured her a fresh cup and brought it to her in bed with a kiss on the cheek. " I thought we might take the long way home today and pick up a couple of things. I have a couple of very busy weeks in front of me ,so i might turn in early tonight"

Nikki was smiling but it faded when he mentioned work. "I understand...I just hope it doesn't make you distant again." she said. She knew he had big stuff going on but prayed they wouldn't fall to old habits. Nikki crawled out of bed and slipped her robe on. "Okay though...all I ask is you come home at the end of the day." She said.

The next week was grueling as advertised. He had two big contracts he was trying to close and there seemed to be a lot of squabbling amongst the girls in the office that he had to constantly referee . When he did get home to Nicole he was exhausted. The motel wasn't even booked over that weekend so there was no point in going and he ended working through most of it anyway. By the end of the second week he noticed the motel booked through the week , and looked forward to taking Nicole out and staying there for a few days.

Those weeks were torture for Nicole, as he seemed not to be interested in her. Sleeping and eating alone....Nicole was tired of it. She eventually was eating on her own and focusing on her own work. They didn't speak much and it drove her insane. Nicole had eaten for the night and was sitting on the couch. Thinking maybe this was the end for them.

When jack got home he found Nicole on the couch Ignoring him. For the life of him he could not understand why she got so cranky when he had to work hard. Successful businesses do not run themselves , sometimes they require a lot of time and effort before you reap the benefits. In the last two weeks he had secured three large contracts and settled some squabbling amongst his employees. Now that he had everything settled down he was looking forward to some relaxation with Nicole. That is if he could defrost her first. He walked behind the sofa and gently fastened a new pearl necklace on her while he kissed the top of her head. Our little hideaway is booked ,what say we get a nice bottle of wine and go have a bubble bath at the motel. Oh and now that things at the shop are squared away I booked a little trip for us in New Orleans, madi gras !!!

Later on at the motel jack turned on the two way mirror, but no one had arrived yet. He set up the hot tub and focused on pampering his wife with foot rubs and kisses while they sipped their wine and waited for someone to show up in the other room.

Nicole understood that he was working to support them but she didn't like how he shut her out. Nodding her head before she got up to pack a bag. A vacation is what they need to help their relationship. Staying quiet as he drove them to the motel. Nicole set her bag down, "I'm going to go sit in the hot tub." Nicole soon stripped down before she got in the hot tub. She had so much running through her head.

Jack put on the stereo ,Van Morrison's into the mystic was playing. He pulled Nicole onto his lap and wrapped her in his arms." Its so good to be back here relaxing with most beautiful girl on earth, even if she's a little crabby today."
He kissed playfully and hugged her tight again.

Nicole soon found herself on his lap, "Hun.....you put work before me. I know you are doing what you have to do for us....but I felt so lonely again. I barely saw you during that two weeks..." She just let it out as they needed to talk about this. "I thought we slipped back to old habits and thought this was the end."she said.

Jack wrapped her in his arms and squeezed . " Please don't say the end, we are no wheres near the end. I am not trying to ignore you. At times I have to focus in order to keep everything running without the wheels falling off. I just can't be as attentive when all that is going on , So i work extra hard to get everybody back to a self sufficient state and come home to you". He tilted her head back and kissed her. " would you really consider leaving me over that?

"It just scares me...you know how my parents were. They always put work before me." she said. Nicole shifted and rested against his chest, burying her face against his neck. He knew very well that she was still struggled with it as her parents didn't even show for the wedding. "You know there is no one else I want to be with but you. I just still struggle as you were the first one besides my grandparents to show me what love is." she said.

Jack closed his eyes and gently stroked her hair. Honey I work because I have to.It's not my nature to be a lay about,and I don't believe the world owes me a living. But you are my everything, the reason I wake up everyday looking for a way to make you smile. I would be lost with out you. You have no Idea how much your affections mean to me. He tilted her head up with his finger and kissed her tenderly.

Nicole pulled him closer as they kissed. She knew he meant every word he said. "I love you so much." she said. Planting her self on his lap as she pulled him closer. "I understand but all I ask is please please come home on time." she said. She was content right here in his arms as he held. "I just have missed you....eating...sleeping alone....I just don't like it." she said.

jack let out a sigh. This was simply something she would never understand.
He did not want to argue with her because it seemed pointless. To make matters worse ,who ever booked the room next door still had not shown up. He said "lets go to bed . Maybe we can find a good movie?.

Nicole nodded her head before getting out of the tub. Quietly drying off before hanging her towel back up. She headed to the bed and crawled under the covers. Feeling like she just ruined their weekend....Nicole sat there quietly as she waited.

Jack took his time following her to bed , knowing he had to tread carefully to get her out of this mood. Picking up the remote he selected an old classic John Wayne movie called the quite man. Ignoring the movie he lay next her drawing little circles on her chest as he looked into her eyes. " please don't be upset, you haven't done anything wrong and I love you more than ever".

Nicole soon curled into Jack, "I just know you are doing this for us. Jack you know you were the first besides my grandparents to show me love. Yes I struggle with the weeks you are crazy busy but you come home at the end of the day. I'm scared to lose you....you're my world."she confessed. In all honesty she was just scared and just didn't know how to tell her husband.

Tucker led Melanie into the motel room. His charcoal grey suit fit him well and looked tailored. His black shoes were shined to perfection and his red tie completed the look and went well with his white dress shirt. Once the door was closed, he turned to look at the woman behind him. She wore a pale purple blouse and a knee length pencil skirt. They looked like the perfect power couple. He smiled as he pointed out the big mirror on the wall and looked back at Melanie. "Well Kitten, it looks like you will be able to watch yourself as I do so many things to you. Now, get to the way I want you." Tucker loosened his tie and sat on the edge of the bed while he watched Mel strip her clothes off. On her neck glittered a thin golden collar. It hadn't been as noticeable when she had her clothes on but it stood out against her creamy skin.

Moving over to Tucker, she kneeled on the floor before him and looked straight ahead. "Daddy, I'm sorry for coming to your work today. I told them I was just bringing important papers though." Mel explained, looking down.

"Kitten, you know the rules and you broke them. So now instead of just getting to focus on pleasure tonight, I have to punish you." There was a sparkle in his eyes before he pulls out a leather collar from his pocket and places it around her neck.

Jack was leaning in to kiss his wife when he heard the door open in the other room. His eyes opened wide when he heard the voices of Melanie and city counselor Tucker Malone. He took Nicole by the hand and led her over to the Big sofa to watch. Melanie had worked for Jack a few years ago in commercial sales.
She had tried to temp jack on a couple of occasions ,even after meeting Nicole at a couple of Christmas parties.He knew she had worked on tuckers campaigns and he also knew she wasn't his wife. He whispered to Nicole "this should be interesting".

Nicole paused before looking to the mirror, soon curling into her husband. Shocked to see Melanie as she that girl hated Nicole. Tried so hard to weasel her way into Jack's life. Upset that Nicole had "stolen" him away. She nuzzled his neck, "Hun....wasn't she the one who tried to seduce you." Nicole got comfy with her husband on the couch. Secretly she wasn't surprised that Melanie went after a married man.

"Yes, yes she was.Not the only one but, she was famous for dropping things in my office and bending over in front of me to pick them up.She would offer to lock my office door and offer some afternoon delight for lunch. Subtle as freight train that one. I think some of them had a bet they could get themselves promotions or raises. Thankfully I was smart enough to never get involved with employees ,even before I met the love of my life." He kissed Nicole behind the ear and hugged her.

Nicole smiled as shs curled into him more. "I love you."she said. Placing a few kisses on his neck as her hands ran down his body. "Maybe after our trip.. I should bring you lunch again?"she teased. Knowing that he enjoyed their little lunch delight. Shifting a bit as she rested her head on his shoulder. "Remember when we were first introduced,"she asked.

Jack smiled sheepishly as he ducked this question several times. It was obvious that there introduction was a fond memory for her, But the truth was he did not remember the details. He had been way past snookered when they were introduced by who knows who and he was in lust at first sight. They had made love til first light and she had made him breakfast and nursed his hangover ,that much he remembered. He had been grateful and deeply in love with her ever since, but he had no idea how they actually met. He would never admit that and ruin her memory or hurt her feelings.

Nicole curled into him more and nuzzled his neck. "Though if we didn't fuck that one night...probably would've never met you."she teased. Crawling onto his lap as she made herself comfortable. Covering his neck with kisses then playfully nipping it. "Hun when do we leave for New Orleans?"she asked. It had been some time since they went ona vacation.
