There Can Only Be One.

The Democratic presidential field is facing its first real winnowing as more than half a dozen candidates confront the increasingly real possibility that they could be left out of the next primary debate.
The fierce competition for money, air time and polling support is taking its toll on the record field of contenders.

Yeah, most of those people were never serious about being President,
but were instead padding their resumes for future office.
One of them is already running for senate as
a former Presidential candidate...

Bingo. You may as well call their primary the primary for 2024.

I see it more as Congressional tryouts...

These guys see that they can get just as rich
with a lot less scrutiny on the JV squad...

A couple of them were looking at tough primary challenges
AOC-style when they decided to run as far-left wackos.

At this stage it would do the Left a great service if about half of the remaining candidates dropped out of the race anyway. We would get a better idea of where the poll numbers stand.

We won't know where the polls stand until the votes are counted and excuses made...

Anybody know why Obama has yet to endorse Biden?

Biden claims he asked Obama not to, but that’s some BS.

On Saturday Biden forgot which state he was in. He thought he was in Vermont while campaigning in New Hampshire. I guess that didn't meet Obama's established standard for stupid when he declared there are 57 states.;)

So far, 10 candidates have made the cut for the September debate: former Vice President Joe Biden; Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.); Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.); Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.); South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg; Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.); Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.); former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas); former tech executive Andrew Yang and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro.

The question is how many of those that don’t make the cut linger on until the October debates?

I think the rules for the debates effectively mean that anyone who isn't on the next debate stage is done campaigning. We should see a whole slew of candidates dropping out next month.

January 2016, after trying to sell his participation, Donald Trump did not appear at the Republican debate in Des Moines.

Probably close to half.
