Recovering from broken bones is so dull. The cast gets a little sympathy for a while, but then it just gets boring. There is a cover on the market that inflates and seals the cast so that you can shower and swim. Maybe you can get a handicapped tag and use those handy parkiing spaces?

I did without the sling today, but I think I'll go back to it tomorrow. My shoulder feels better for not wearing it but my wrist throbbed a bit if I was walking any distance.

Thanks, kid. The orthopedic surgeon will watch a tech put a cast on me, this coming Monday. He may have to look at an xray image a different tech will have prepared, as well.

Docs are best pleased when things arrange themselves so that they don't have to actually touch the patient...
