So here's the story..
I have family that lives in San Diego who I haven't seen in more than 10 years. And I've visited every state west of the mississippi except CA & AZ. My friend is an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and has wanted to attend the big bike rally in southern california to get more ideas for the local rally. So I'm really thinking about planning a few day trip so we both can get a break.
My problem is that while I may spend a little time at the bike event, I'd rather explore the local area. All I know so far is it's in Oak Canyon Park. I'm looking into the lodging in the area, places to eat, and other entertainment that would be nearby.
If anyone knows which bike event I'm talking about (I'm not posting it for fear of someone saying its being advertised) and has attended, any information on how its set up or what happens would be wonderful. And just ideas from anyone who knows the area, on what may be fun to do, or where to go or not to go
