I started when I was eight....let me do some math.....this might take a while....math isn't my thing....12 years. But don't let the number fool you. I moved around a lot as a kid and has bunches of different teachers. My first one, however, was a Nazi so I got a good foundation. I mean, we're talking everything memorized and played with a metranome, no clicking nails, good form, and good touch. So she got me started.

Sight reading -- I'm excellent because I often didn't have a teacher to tell me what it was.
Timing -- I suck some serious hind tit. I didn't have a teacher to pound her hand on the piano and yell "tempo, tempo, TEMPO!"

I do it for fun or to sing along with. I do it for church....when I go...I'm kind of a lawless child of Satan, but I play some wicked good hymns!

I am envious of anyone who can play the piano. I can read music...but have a hard time getting my hands to do 2 different things at the same time. And I am even more impressed with you. Thanks! I'm glad you like my hands... Those hands aren't just a "pretty face" either...those suckers can do a lot! They have memorized the piano keyboard. They know the Qwerty keyboard as well. Then, lastly, and perhaps the most impressive, they know the Stenography keyboard. (For court reporters!)

My hands get a lot of exercise....they are toned and in shaped.
