A quarter millennium ago the land that is now the United States of America had a lot of white people from places like England (the east coast) and France (New Orleans) and Spain (Florida and the southwest), even Russia (Alaska) and a lot of Africans from what is now Senegal, Nigeria, etc. and a lot of natives, from the Seminoles to the Algonquin to the Inuit to the Navajo.

Today, the mix is different.

In the future (assuming the nation survives) the mix will change again.

Looking at it from south of the border, they all look alike in being products of American English-speaking culture. The Irish look like Protestants from there.

When was there ever a Lebanese culture?

Lebanon had a thriving indigenous culture before the Arabs started trying to erase it. It was the homeland of the Phoenicians in ancient times, like Israel was the home of the Jews. It became Christian in the 1st century and remained predominantly Christian even after the Muslim conquest because the Crusaders took it back.

That came to an end when the Ottomans lost control of Lebanon a century ago. The British settled a bunch of Arabs there, creating the ethnic strife that culminated in Civil War in the 70s

When I was a teenager I spent a lot of time hanging out at Lebanese deli, and their culture has a very different flavor than either Israeli or Persian—more like Greek.

No matter how tightly the border is controlled, all the Southwestern states will have Spanish-speaking majorities eventually. Latinos want to be American citizens who still speak Spanish as their primary language, and they're going to be numerous enough to get what they want.
