This is the base the GOP has already lost

Run run run away.....because you can't refute any of it. ;)

It's not that so much as you ladle out the misinformation so thickly and you use your own rather bizarre definitions of certain words - and everyone knows you'll just respond with more of the same if we do refute your nonsense.

Bizarre definitions for what words?

No, I'll only respond with more of the same if you use silly made up (or totally nonexistent) "progressive" definitions of words that don't exist anywhere outside the "progressive" bubble of crazy in order to 'refute' me.

Racism for example.....is not privilege plus power, that's made up intersectional loony toonz and only accepted by other intersectional leftist.

I go by what's in the dictionary, Webstaz or Oxford and encyclopedias almost exclusively Brittanica. If you're good with those I'll gladly accept your refutation.

Please don't assume all progressives subscribe to that self-serving double standard. I don't, and I've been called every name in the book by people I agree with on nearly everything else over it. But so be it.

First off, BB...Thank you for making your posts more readable for everyone. It's appreciated. :)

Now, let's move on along beginning with this one, shall we?

(directed at JKD) ~ Run run run away.....because you can't refute any of it. ;)

I'll be sure to go back and look at what you're referring to, BB, now that you've gotten rid of all the sig line billboard issues. I might even reply to it specifically yet tonight.

But first, I'll tackle it with this small point of order: Do you mean "Run Run Run Runaway" in the Jefferson Starship manner or in the "grade school playground bully taunting" way?

If it's the former, that's cool...even if you did plant a 41-year-old musical ear bug in my head for the next couple of hours at least. If it's the latter, then I'll to reply in a slightly more adult way with: You mean like YOU did, not just once, not twice, but THREE times over a six day period just last week in the "Megan & Colin ~ Let's-do-flag-humping-like-45" thread?

Purely for verification purposes, you may access how it began on 9.24.19 with the first link, which also is the last time you showed up in that thread at all until 9.30.19 as evidenced with link #2...and even then, continued to "run run run away" by totally ignoring both previous posts but only jumped all over something YDB said. Link #3 is the second post that occurred in between that you also "run run run away'ed" from completely.

( ^^That last link^^ is also where you will find the following and was posted on 9.28.19 during your "six-day, MIA/AWOL event")

Also, Dump, while you keep going off about the economy and calling Obama "a bumbling economic idiot" and such, I find very telling that this post exchange was 25 back-and-forths ago with you...and for some reason BB hasn't been seen in the thread since I posted the final reply to him, and you haven't DARED to mention those graphs either.

Care to tell us all why neither of you are willing to address them? Please do your best to make your response pertinent and on-point for a change.

Now...ya' wanna go back to the "Robber Barons in the private Pullman cars" point?"

Now, BB, this would be where Perry Mason turns to District Attorney Burger and asks: "Do you want to dismiss the charges or continue to be embarrassed?" Guess which role is yours right now? ;)

Ohhh Overt racism, must have hit a nerve.

Please don't assume all progressives subscribe to that self-serving double standard. I don't, and I've been called every name in the book by people I agree with on nearly everything else over it. But so be it.

Oh so you're a racist Nazi like the rest of normal human beings!! :D

Funny how the intersectional like Carnal and Rob all turn out to be some of the most overt racist out there. The rest of them are just complicit, racism is totally ok as long as it's pointed at a person of color with the wrong opinions. Very inclusive, much diversity, so, much, PROGRESS!!

Anyhow......well then what words have I tried to use bizzare definitions for??

Embarrassed by your off topic response??? Hardly.

Here is the comment, followed by your response where you claim it's bullshit.

They aren't blaming anyone....they just want you control freak socialist (you're not a liberal of any kind) to fuck off and mind your own bidnizz.

We don't want you taking all our shit and giving it to illegal migrants.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Um, maybe because all that is delusional bullshit?

I challenge that, because it's not bullshit....it's exactly what all the 2020 presidential (D) candidates, progressive pols across the country and most of the the official DNC platform are advocating.

So you're saying (D)'s don't want to raise taxes in a hyper progressive manner??

AOC doesn't want 70% tax?

Nobody in the DNC supported her Green New Deal?

They aren't advocating forced collectivism across several proposals??

Maxine Waters didn't express her desire to nationalize the energy market??

Bernie didn't proclaim billionaires shouldn't exist??

They didn't just promise to nationalize the HC industry to provide HC for illegal migrants on national TV??

Have you not listened to anything they've said or looked into their congressional history? Or are you just willfully ignoring it??

And here is where you ran...ran so far away....but couldn't get away.

Yeah, it most likely is, YDB.

I'll just go to Plan B and scroll past them 90% of the time. It's not like he ever presents any real debate or discussion anyway, so what am I gonna miss? <shrug>

.

So I'm asking you to clarify and stand by your earlier comment that what the all the (D)'s and progressives are advocating and trying to do is all "delusional bullshit".

Um, no, BB. In fact, make that UM, HELL NO, BB!

I've chosen to NOT play the games when stuff like that gets used. If I don't put up with the "deflect & divert" BS from the "resident expert at it" Dump anymore, what would make you think I would from a second-stringer?

(and yeah, that *IS* a compliment if you think real hard about it. ;) )

You got caught fuckin LYING and now you're running from it.

Really.

Neither you or dan can say why it's racist, because it's not.

That quote is from this Politico piece and is a great "two thumbs-up" read featuring Columbus, Ohio native, California Congressman Harley Rouda Jr.

Having known his father, Harley Senior very well back in the 1980's when we were both members of the Ohio Association of Realtors Leadership Team, his comments about the way he grew up are dead-on. The only real differences between our "upbringing and political history" is a six-year age difference and that I "ran away from home" ten years before he did.

Rouda is the perfect poster child for "This isn't...and hasn't been for a long time...your father's GOP anymore."

.

Finding out that Harley Jr. was now living in Southern California, and was running for Congress, and was doing it as a Democrat, was one of the bigger surprises I've had in recent years.

But I get his point, because we're about the same age and remember who used to run the show in Columbus. As the GOP moved away from the guys in business suits and towards the Alex Jones demographic, it left a lot of normal people out in the cold.

That bolded part really jumps up and has me nodding my head in agreement. One of the girls I spent six years going to junior high and senior high with, still lives in my hometown down on the Ohio River and is so much of a tRump sucker that her FB page is 80% either "defending 45"or "anti-Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, ALL Dems, ALL Libs, et al" depending on her mood and what the Faux & Fiends gang told her to believe that morning. And, of course, the other 20% is split 18% to spreading debunked years ago, conspiracy memes and the last 2% is dedicated to her only nod to reality with a single photo of either her grandkids or her dog. Since she makes 40-50+ posts a day, those percentages actually work out. And take a guess at who is also serving her 6th or 7th year as a member of the county GOP Executive Committee? The chairwoman is someone else I knew way back when and she is even MORE whacko about drinking the orange Kool Aid. The entire freakin' party has lost their minds all across the country and turned into mAnn Coulter & Rush Limpball clones.

Harley Junior was a shock to me also...but a very welcome one because I knew Harley Sr had to have rubbed off on Harley Jr if by nothing more than simple osmosis. Plus, I grew up in Marietta, but moved to Columbus in 1980 to finish up my degrees at Franklin University and then stayed on in Columbus for another 2-1/2 years after graduation working for the corporate offices of one of the top three RE franchisors in the county at the time. I not only saw the political game playing...by both sides...that went on, I was also directly involved in it at times too, included a major smoke-filled backroom, "cocktails, cigars, & quid pro quo dealmaking" at the governor's mansion involving almost incalculable millions of dollars...after business hours and TOTALLY off-the-record and with "This-never-even-happened" rules in place for everybody in the room.

That kind of shit, that did and still does, go on all the time. It was the original "Don't ask, Don't tell" commandment of both parties and anyone or any organization that was into lobbying and/or the first PACs.

That brings up another interesting factoid most people have no clue about. Back in the 1980s, the biggest lobbying & PAC powerhouse in the country, was NOT the NRA but the NAR...the National Association of Realtors. The Ohio Association of Realtors was just as powerful politically in the state in the '80s with two full-time lobbyists on staff...one of whom who really boosted that power because his father was Dick Celeste's Lt. Governor for the first 2-1/2 years of his term. And their headquarters building they built in the early-mid 1970's being just a quick two or three block walk from the capital building at Broad & High is a complete coincidence too.

You don't EVEN want me going into why Nancy Hollister was shunned by the GOP even after serving as George Voinovich's Lt. Gov and even served as the first (and still "only") female Governor for eleven days in 1998-99 after Voinovich resigned early on December 31st, so he could be sworn in as Ohio's new senator on January 3rd. Let's just say that when I heard clear down in Florida how she had been treated and basically cast aside...and what for...was total validation that the "Religious Right" had their fingers around the GOP's throat. Their "success" with getting tRump in the Oval Office may well be when they also succeeded in finally choking the last breath out of the GOP. The rest of us are just waiting for the embalmer to show up.

Anyway, Nancy and her young family had been neighbors a half block down the street when I was growing up. We became close friends and "cohorts in crime" when her very first "toe dip into the political pool" was her mayoral appointment to the City Traffic Commission in 1978...and her first committee assignment was to a sub-committee *I* was the chair of (I'd been on the commission since I was 17 years old and a high school senior...and am still the youngest person to ever serve in such a position more than 45 years later). When I left Columbus and returned to my hometown in mid-1984, Nancy was now mayor and as soon as we ran into each other later in the year, she demanded that I accept another term back on the traffic commission next year. (of course I said yes :D ) And I also knew the real story of what the self-appointed "King Makers" would be holding over her head more than 15 years later.

So, yeah, me and Ohio politics have a deep history, but the only "truly active" role I took in the day-to-day "normal" political scene while I was living in Columbus was to work on the first congressional campaign of this young upstart that was only a couple years older than my 26 years. That had a lot to with the things he said AND that I knew all too well what being a "young upstart on the ballot" was like since I broke MY "ballot virginity" at 19 running for one of three open city council seats.

Perhaps you've heard of that "young pup that dared to think he could run with the big dogs in DC"??? His name begins with John and ends with Kasich. ;)

I'll stop before this turns into a full novelette and you black out from boredom Sorry!

.

If you say so, BB. <shrug>

Of course that "rationale" of yours still doesn't address the fact that the RNC and the NRCC have both already publicly declared they will "break the bank" if they have to with spending to try to claw back even one or two of the congressional district loss spankings they suffered in the California wipe-out of last year.

.

Trust me; Californians are growing tired of free health for illegals, sanctuary cities, the homeless crisis which is the scourge of your great state, yeah; blame the republicans for that. Ridiculous increases in state taxes on businesses to fund things for illegals and excessive government spending, ridiculous regulations on people and businesses, they are migrating to other states. Till you lefty looney tunes face up to your own inequities and ineptness California will continue to spiral into decay due to poor management and political lunacy. You have a speaker of the house that is more interested in impeaching Trump than solving the homeless crisis in her own home town.

Well, you certainly have the Hannity, Carlson, Coulter, Limpballs. et al, talking point almost memorized already, don't you?

Funny thing though...I can call any one (or ten or twenty) of a couple dozen friends I have spread out to every corner of Cali and not ever hear a single one them repeating those things about their state.

I guess sometimes life is just weird that way. <shrug>

They are embarrassed, if they aren't they should be.

Who wants to talk to people whose solution to a problem is to run away from it?

Because their leaving is rapidly becoming a bigger issue than the poor governance they are running from.

People vote with their feet. If the electoral college was ever mothballed they would be a whole lot of repubs voting, could possibly change the landscape of the present regime and turn CA red.

I have friends and family in CA and they always discuss the deep seeded resentment to the current political REGIME in CA.

The current political power is constantly stepping on constitutional rites of their citizens, sanctuary citizens and cities, spending tax money on illegals, open borders, boundless regulations, protecting illegals over their own citizens, failure to prosecute illegal felons, failure to deport illegals who have deportation warrants, obstruction of federal law ( obstruction of justice by not allowing or cooperating with federal agents to conduct deportation warrants ) PLEASE DON'T PREACH STATE'S RITES, it's about perception and TDS. THIS ENVIRONMENT WOULDN'T EXIST IF OBAMA WAS PRESIDENT The most left leaning activist appellate court in the nation. California law is out of control.

An attempt to literally violate the constitution by adding a statute requiring political campaigners to surrender their tax returns in order to run for office.

TDS rampant in CA!

Yes, Dan - we all applaud your passion for ending climate change and creating a more socialist world under Democratic Party rule, complete with that NEW GREEN DEAL outlined by Alexandria Ocasion-Cortez & Al Gore. But are you aware that you are repeating pretty much EXACTLY what Greta Thunberg recently told an audience at the United Nations? See it for yourself:

You seemingly believe that only the neo-fascist Antifa movement can remove President Trump from office, suspend the U.S. Constitution, and usher in a bold new age of racist oppression by those on the anti-Semitic left, including transgendered male athletes dominating women's sports (which you support for reasons I can't begin to comprehend!) But keep up your passion, Dan (or Greta!) - or whatever name you choose to use here on this forum.
