The GB was being the GB. You know exactly how things work in the GB. Or you would if you ever bothered to read anyone's threads but your own.
You got attacked in the GB, a place that you've said that you didn't like to post because it's so mean. You know the place is mean and you still post there? And then you do this when someone insults you in a place that you know is full of insulting, mean people?
What you did was downright cowardly, vicious, and rude. You started the war. You involved your friends. You tried to turn the Playground into a battlefield. You did it all on your own.
DCL insulted you. You know what? He insults everyone eventually. An intelligent and compassionate human being would have ignored him rather than run straight back to a completely separate forum--one that was begun because the people didn't care for the hostile climate of the GB in the first place--and incited a riot. You did it. DCL just insulted you. You could have insulted him back. You could have laughed at him. You could have ignored him.
You are a despicable human being and you owe both forums a massive apology for what you did.
News flash: No one has to like you and no one has to be nice to you either. Grow up and take the blame that rightfully belongs to you. No one put a gun to your head and forced you to start this war thread and incite a peaceful forum to a flame war. There wasn't hostility here until you started an inter-forum war.
You start a war and you have the unmitigated gall to gloat about it. "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen." Listen to your own advice, chickie. You can't change anyone's behavior, let alone an entire forum's, except your own. Start there.
