Thousands Are Canceling Disney+ Subscriptions

No reason to cancel.

I watch some shows on the network.

Cancelling won't make a lick of difference regardless.
It is just one vote of disapproval.

Plus I forgot I still had that subscription active.

Iger made a wise decision. The Disney brand and reputation isn’t worth risking to save a late night divisive late night comedian with shrinking ratings.
Why would any company continue to employ someone who alienates half the potential viewing demographic.

And even if "some people" did want to keep their subscription, they could cancel, then wait for the inevitable "special offer at a reduced price" from Disney to "come back" - which would STILL ultimately cost Disney money AND send a message.

But "some people" aren’t too smart…

🙄

Kimmel’s comments were spot on:

1) The MAGAt crowd DID spend the weekend (and before the identity of the shooter or his motives were even known) labeling him as a "leftist" (something that is STILL unproven by anything other than hearsay) and going further by declaring they were going to initiate a purge of everyone on "the left" (the fact that the shooter was a born and raised ammosexual from a hyper-religious MAGAt household who basically existed in the online world never entered the conversation / NARRATIVE for the MaGAt gang).

2) DonOld didn’t show much REAL / GENUINE sympathy or emotion in regard to Charlie Kirk’s death. DonOld DID quickly change the topic when asked about Charlie Kirk and talked about the TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR GOLD PLATED BALLROOM THAT HE’S BUILDING AT THE WHITE HOUSE (is DonOld planning on staying???).

3) There ARE a gang of MAGAts who are trying (and succeeding) to grift off Charlie Kirk’s death - both financially AND politically.

😳

Jimmy Kimmel’s comments were spot on (though faaaaar more civil / restrained than Charlie Kirk and the MAGAt gang ACTUALLY deserve / deserved).

👎

Hope that ^ helps.

My opinion is different. I think what Kimmel said was stupid. Period.

Your opinion is objectively wrong. Period. The fact that you can’t defend your opinion is all the proof anyone needs.

I admit I'm somewhat annoyed about this forum at times. Not this subject, yet, but you are on the way.
Right then, listen up, you lot!
So, you've got a brilliant idea, a groundbreaking hypothesis, a thesis that could change the world as we know it. But here's the thing: without any proof, it's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. It's just a whisper in the wind, a lonely thought floating in the ether.
When you're trying to convince someone, a claim without evidence is like a magician revealing their trick before they've even performed it. You lose all credibility, all impact. It's just a "believe me because I said so" argument, which, let's be honest, is a bit like your mate saying their team is the best in the world because, well, they just are. It's not a compelling argument, is it?
So let's get down to it. When we're talking about factual matters, we must be factual. We need to be like a good detective, looking at the clues, weighing the evidence, and not just accepting what we're told at face value. Mutual back-patting is great for boosting morale, but it won't win an argument. The only thing that will is a solid, well-supported case.
So, next time you've got a point to make, come prepared with your evidence. Don't just tell us; show us. Otherwise, you're just talking nonsense, and nobody's got time for that.

Edit: I want to change what I said as it wasn't the kindest way to put it.

My opinion is my opinion. I do not wish to justify / explain / defend my opinion right now, maybe later.

It was a poorly worded joke.

What he said was a description of what bB was actively engaged in (and typically engaged in) in this forum.....and applies to all sides of the spectrum.

"He's not ours, he's obviously (insert my political opposition here) yours"

They did offer a 3 month reduced price if I did not cancel. I still canceled.

Voting with how you spend your money is important.

We cancelled Paramount+ recently because they openly paid a bribe to Donnie. It was an easy decision because there was so little to watch anyway. 😄

We subscribe to the PBS streaming service to support them instead.

a comedian on some satellite radio station said, wouldn't it be great to go someplace and pick out the movie you want for a few bucks rather than $50 to 100 a month for streaming services that you skip past 99% of their content? His punchline was blockbuster.
Cancel all those services and pick up a book before they are banned as well.
