Looking for one more female for a Star Trek thread. You don't even have to know that much about Star Trek, just have an interest in sci fi threads, the Star Trek basics are easy to learn. We need one more female to even out the ratio a little more.

Rock n Roll in the Summer of Love

This the OOC and Discussion space for a thread I'd like to do about a San Francisco pyschedelic-rock-blues band that tries to make it big in 1967. Kinda like the "I Love Rock n Roll" thread but without the competition. I'm looking for players who typically post a paragraph or two and have a good command of the English language and respect for everyone else in the thread. I reserve the right to determine who gets to play.

The storyline starts in the Spring, actually, at an free show in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. This is where the people in the band meet, while listening to the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Janis Joplin. They start jamming in the drummer's garage. They write some songs, figure out some covers (probably Beatles, but played with an edge), and manage to get some gigs opening for some of the local bigger bands, playing as "The Guardians". (Also in San Francisco at the time was Santana, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Country Joe and the Fish, the Steve Miller Band, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, among others)

They get their big break when they play a midnight set at a party in Palo Alto, which happened to draw a number of people from the Monterey Pop Festival, which was happening that weekend (this is where Hendrix makes his cameo).

From there, it's a no-holds-barred wild ride to the top, or as far as they can make it before crumbling under the pressure. A west-coast tour with the Grateful Dead or the Airplane, recording an LP, maybe an east-coast tour with Steve Miller or Creedence. Being a part of all the madness happening down at the Haight-Ashbury scene. Lots of free love...

The band still needs to be filled out: rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums, maybe keyboards.

If you want to play a character in the band but would like to play an instrument not listed above, we can discuss it, but I'd like to keep the band pretty tight, as I'm pretty committed to the type of sound the band will get after. Keyboards can be substituted for rhythm guitar. One of the guitarists is more than welcome to sing, in lieu of a singer, though Jimmy has an awful voice and just wants to play guitar.

I would like to see some of this era's iconic figures show up throughout the thread as cameos. If you're interested in that kind of scene, that would be awesome. Any member of any of the bands listed above is welcome. If anyone wants to play Bill Graham, that would be amazing. He would be the most obvious choice to be the promoter for the Guardians, as he was the promoter for just about every big name in San Francisco at the time.

Also welcome is Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, of course. Tom Wolfe (who wrote the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test) could also be around somewhere.

Other original characters are welcome as well. There are a whole helluva lot of people converging on San Francisco in the spring and summer of 1967.

I am seeking some players for an unusual incest thread, where a super-smart family with enough good genes that incest is a net plus is dumped by concerned ETs on another world. Spouses and lovers with no blood tie are left behind. These human guinea pigs will have to survive on the resources of a new planet. The hope is that Man can start afresh, but only on another world, without negative influences.

I have a couple ideas for stories.

Company Christmas Party - Allison had just started working with the company about a month prior to the party. Since she had began her bf had dumped her, she was a bit down to be attending the party without a date. The party was at a restaurant downtown and since she would be drinking she rented a hotel room about a block from the party for the night. She definately drinks a bit much that night and is more willing than ever to find someone for the evening.


College escort.
Allison is just starting her freshman year of college, midway through the first trimester her father loses his job, thus her college funding is cut off. It is too late to recieve financial aid, her option is to drop out or get a job. being an expensive private school there is no way a typical job will pay the tuition. A man had approched her the spring of her freshman year, looking for girls to work. She called him going in for an interview which was more about looks than qualifications. Hired on the spot he then sent her to a shop to recieve her wardrobe. "Miss Trinity will select your wardrobe." The shop was exclusive high end. The outfits were appealing but not slutty, though lingerie was required by clients to "Give them something their partners would not". On her walk back to her apartment fer phone rang, "hello, this is Cindy from the agency, you have an appointment tonight at 9pm, Club Chavalle." She panicked wanting to say no, she just hung up after saying yes. She was going to study tonight for an exam, not any more.

Smallville: AU

This thread is an alternative story to that of the show Smallville. Instead of Kal-El being sent to Earth alone, his cousin Kara-EL was also sent. Both were mere babies while rocketing through space, chunks of their home planet following their ships as they shuttled towards a distant world. Life in Smallville was about to change. As the people went about their daily routines, their little world would be shaken as the meteor fragments rained down on their town, causing destruction and mayhem everywhere.

The thread mostly deals with their lives during their last year of High School and after, much like the TV series Smallville. The main difference here is that the Langs didn't have a child of their own, and found the baby Kara-EL and adopted her naming her Lana. No the characters we're going to start out with don't need to be the same as what had appeared in the show. So we're free to introduce others as well as modify them to fit into this universe.

I had an idea about a idea based on a christmas carol, the 1999 one. I was thinking scrooge finds a baby at his doorstep. He races her and they are very very close. As time passes he grows to love her.

The idea is for her to be with him or bob cratchet has lost his wife and she is there for him.

Or any other way, id love to do this so im open to ideas

Old school SRPG action

Disregard the following... the role has been filled, thank you.

I started a fantasy sexual rpg a little while ago, but one of the 6 people has been MIA, so im trying to fill the role. Its 3 guys and 3 girls (im running it im not playing in it) and we need one more female..

You can be any race/class you want, withen reason and as long as you post more than a few lines at a time and make a decent backstory. Id prefer a healer type (i think we have enough badasses right now ;) but thats only a suggestion).

Read the In Character Thread ... with the actual story so far to familiarize yourself with whats gone on and the history of the world to date (there is lots more).

And then post in the OCC FIRST, if you are interested with your character bio. The OCC can be found on top of my first post in the In Character thread.

Or just find it Here if you want :)
