Catching VeiledLady just as she leaves...

Before the front door closes, I rush out after VeiledLady.

"Don't go yet!" I tell her.

"But I should get back home to my family and man." she says, smiling.

"But not before you have opened your present. Go on." I encourage her.

Smiling at me, she follows me back into the house.

Once in the Living Room, we join the others around the roaring fire (ignoring the fruit cake that is embedded in the wall) and we all exchange presents while Jehanox serves us all more eggnog...

Well that's the end of my thread.

I would like to thank everyone for participating in it. I really enjoyed it.

I just want to wish everyone who is reading this post a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

.....over all ready????

Pudding was down, as was all the MINCE MEAT PIES that Kewl finally produced from one of the sacks he brought! And he also produced all the gifts and merry packages he brought to share in the festivities!!! There was eggnog, and brandy and wine to be had and scoffed by all.....and it was!!! And as near as he could tell, it was a "smashing" success !!

And as the food and booze and good times started weighing heavily on his and everyone else's eyelids....one and all seemed to slowly drift off...to one room/chair/corner or another....only the brave and hearty dared endure the battle home through the storm outside. And our gracious host had planned well, and made sure all were comfy for the long night's rest.....

"Yaw-w-w-wn!" stretched out the big Kat..."Think I'll jus' curl up here by the fire, hmmm...."

And glancing in their direction, it looked like there might be one or two others of "feline persuasion" that might like to curl up in a big pile of warm an' fuzzy fur?!?

...and off padded KewlKat to that spot by the fire...

Since closing this thread, I have had some really nice messages (posted here or privately).

I am glad that everyone enjoyed it and I apologise for having to close the thread earlier than I originally intended (am just too busy).
