It was a quiet night in the palace, no more boring than usual but Nefie was bored and needed to get out. Princess Nefertieri wanted to go out and see her people, the people she would be ruling soon. She had never seen the world outside of the palace nor had it seen her. Exploring outside of the palace was strictly forbidden for her so tonight she would be sneaking out.

She took off her gold bracelets and head garb in favor of something that might not signify her as a royal. It was scary enough that she might get caught by the guards so why as the risk of getting caught by the people. Throwing a small bag of gold into her robe just in case was how she finished preparing for her adventure. "Alright time to make a run for it" she mused as she watched her guards falling asleep for a moment.

She ran making a be line for the back wall. Her thin body slipped through the hole she'd discovered earlier when she saw a guard accidental hit the wall loosening the stone. When she was finished she quietly slipped the stone back in it's place and stared up at the night sky. "Tonight the world is full of promise, now where to find it?"

IC:Kal was sitting up in the Rooftops of the City Cairo, he looked around to find a moment of relief as Kal sighed he hung around the building he noticed a small group of 5 theives enter town.-"Uh oh?!"-he smiled-"Fun time!"-he slipped from the rooftop and entered the streets trying to track over the 5 theives as the 5 of theives spread out Kal tracked down at least 2 of them taking them down tieing them up till morning as Kal tried to track down the rest of them.-"Now where are the other three?"

-Three Theives slipped around and eventually spotted a nice elegent woman on the streets and followed her quietly waiting for her to go some place less known.-

Nefie had mad her way a good distance from the palace and was excited by all the sight's and noise. "Cairo....these are my people" she smiled as she watched them mingle and socialize with each other. So far nothing like her father had described. He described them as beggars and thieves so far she hadn't run into either.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of 3 men who might be what her father had told her about. It was a bad idea but curiousity struck her and she approached the 3 men. "Hello, are you any of you thieves?" she asked thinking they would actually tell her. The looks in their faces got dark and they stepped closer to her

-The three Men stepped Forward.-"We Are but unfortunatly miss no one will here you scream!"-they grabbed her covering her mouth and ran to a ally as they took her to the corner of the ally as they smiled.-"You are no longer safe miss feel what kind of theives we are."-he said as they began to touch her but then something hit one of the Theives a knife as he hit the ground the two theives looked-"Who is there Come out?"-Kal jumped from the roof top and landed in the sand.-"Come on you two must have something left."-Kal taunted as the two theives ran at him he jumped up and connected with Two daggers killing the last two Theives.-"That was No fun they were easy."-he turned to the lady.-"are you ok Miss?"

"Yes I am now that you are here" she caught her breath and watched the mysterious stranger her just saved her. "Thieves really are a plague" she stomped her feet at them. "Thank you for saving me, my name is Nefie" she stuttered first almost slipping and telling her real name to the stranger.

"May I ask your name" she smiled as she gathered herself together pulling a few coins from her satchel. "Here for your trouble" she handed him a few gold coins

-he waved her off shutterign at her theif comment.-"dont worry about it but one thing is forsure not all theives are that bad."-he said as she looked down to put the coins back when she looked up he was gone from sight up in the rooftops heading back to his place.-"Well one thing is for sure no gratitude."

"WEll thanks anyway!" she yelled as she watched him disappear. Nefie looked up at the night sky and began her walk back towards the palace. "The nerve of some people and I'm meant to be queen of them one day pfft!" Her first experience outside the palace walls was indeed an experience.

She thought about if she would venture out beyond the palace walls again as she slipped back through her secret escape route. Maybe there was something she was missing out there and this night wouldn't ruin it for her. She made it back to her quarters without anyone noticing and quickly jumped into bed. "Tomorrow should be fun" she smiled

-Kal was wondering what girl didn't know better then to stay in after a certain hour a friend of his Kat Dropped in a street rat as well.-"Greetings stranger didn't know you were going around to rescue people tonight?"-she said-"It was Odd Kat She didn't know better probably out of towner."-he said-"Any way why didn't you help?"-she giggled-"Because i'm a Runner not a fighter."-she smiled-"Later Ratty!"-she giggled and left he shook his head-"I'm going to bed and gonna have fun tommorow."

It was early and she could feel the sun beam down on her. She straightened her hair and waited for her maidens to bring her breakfast. She was so excited about the night before she wanted to share it with them, but realized it wouldn't be such a good idea explaining how she snuck out.

"What's the plan for today" she asked. A smile coming across her face when she heard her father would be away on business today. It would be a perfect time to sneak out, and during the day she thought. Her mind floated to all the things she could by from the vendors outside the palace walls. Even tho she had gold and expensive items, something from out there would be even more fun

-Kal Had Awoken Jumping from the rooftops to the sand below he went to a secret oasis he stumbled apon in his travels bathing there and returning to the city he was clean and ready for the day as he walked along the rooftops he smiles-"Breakfest time."-he jumped down in a ally as he walked along the street smoothly stealing a hand full of fruit putting them in the pouche he had soon slipping back to the ally and back to the rooftop he began eating the juicey fruit as hsi breakfest smileing as he looked around noticing a lot of men with cloaks and weird outfits around today as they minded there own buisness he thought it weird.-

The water was warm as her maidens bathed her. She was still thinking about last night and it hadn't even occurred to her that those three men could have been follow her the whole time. "But where did he come from" she uttered out loud and one of her servants asked "he who?". Nefie quickly shook her head and nodded it off. Her mind then asked the question had the stranger who saved her been following her the whole time as well.

By any means it was to much to be thinking about a person she was never planning on crossing paths with again. After fully getting dressed for her day's adventure she packed her small pouch of gold and this time a small dagger she had picked off one of the guards. It was virtually useless unless you knew how to use it. Nefie had some training but not enough to battle the scalawags outside the palace walls

-The Street Was Busy with a festival of sorts but the last thing on every ones mind was what was to unfold the men in cloaks Kal had been Observing began moving in patterns watching and learning things they were outsiders but what kind of sick people where they he saw one blow a dart from a pipe makign one of the people faint he was fast and not caught as the man fell people began panicing Kal kept his eyes on these guys as they tore off the cloaks and they yelled-"grab any prisoners!"-they began to knock over and began to injure people he counted there were 12 that was brilliant how was he to take on 12 guys and live well he would try.-"That Breakfest may be my last."-he jumped from roof top to roof top and landed infront of one of the guards who was almsot about to take the life of a boy and girl both very young and kicked him back-"You opponent is me!"-he yelled as he got ready with a Dagger as the bandit came after him he began clashing blades and held his own.-"Who are you?"-he said as Kal looked.-"Kal Horusic"-The bandit heard that name his head would bring in a ton of gold as he yelled for his men when they came they saw the prize and realized they would have to get him they continued there pillaging.-

She just made her way into the town square where she was surprised by the goings on. It seem to be a festival but from all the festivals she ever seen none of them included armed capture by ruffians. Taking that sign as her exit cue she quickly turned trying to make a break for the palace.

As she ran she bumped into a rather large man. At first being confused she took him for a wall but when he grabbed her by the arm that let her know what she was seeing was real. Nefie grabbed her dagger and quickly sliced the man across his face causing him to release her. Instead making her way back towards the palace she was now running into the thick of it.

-in the mist of it Kal had taken out three of them and they kept on Coming a Women came running in and was tripped and stripped of her Items the dagger falling to the ground they took the gold off her to he reconized her as the bandits looked-"Get him i will hold her."-he said holding her by the neck and chest so she couldnt move much he watched as his men took on the young man but one after another they fell as Kal Jumped up and grabbed the Girls Dagger and held it-"Excuse me miss im borrowing this."-he twirled it in his hand and watched the man who must of been there leader charge him with a great big cutless as they began to rumble Kal used his daggers to guard and deffend the woman backed up a bit as the Bandit Leader grabbed her using her as hostage but he wouldnt kill her he charged in but ins tead of slicing the Woman he stabbed Kal in the Shoulder and releasing it sliced him across the body he groaned and bleed heavily as he looked to the Bandit and laughed-"your Mine Kal"-Kal smiled-"your a idiot!"-he threw the dagger and it split his head in two as he lay the womans dagger in the sand and grabbed his his wounds becoming great he got to a ally close by resting a moment things fading people looked now hearign nothign wondering if it was safe.-

She watched the man now known as Kal fall to sand slowly. He was hurt in her defense. She rushed over to him to tend to his wound which by that point she had noticed it was too bad for her to tend to. Nefie grabbed her daggers cutting a piece of her gown and tied it around the wound. "C'mon hero" she lifted him throwing his arm over her shoulder. "This is the second time you've saved me, don't you ever get tired of that?" she mused trying to make light of the situation.

She walked him back to the palace, stopping every few steps to let him rest."It's going to be okay, just stay with me". Nefie brought him to her secret escape route out of the palace and pushed him through first then she followed. How was she going to explain this? Quickly thinking she called for help from her hand maidens and they helped her sneak him into her chamber. "You must take care of this man, and I need a healer" she remarked to the girls. "You have sworn an oath to me and so I will trust you to keep this a secret between us until I tell my father" she continued. Nefie wiped his forehead which had beads of sweat as her maidens took care of him.

-Kal was soon brought to his feet once his wounds were wraped at which point he could barely answer anything every so often she was kind enough to bring him to a wall which he was pushed through soon he was passed out but a few hours later he awoke in a bed wrapped up and feeling better but still sore he looked around his clothes on but his body in pain.-"Oh my head,and everything else."-he said as he looked around while laying there soon the girl from before came in and she was in ....oh no he thought she was the princess and she hated street rats for theivery.-"Princess?"-he said-"your the princess?"-he said as he looked to her.-"I thought you despised Street Rats?"

"So you are a street rat!" she frowned "I tried to figure out why you ran that day and now I know." Nefie remembered the snide comment she made that day. She plopped down in the bed next to him making sure it hurt him a little. "You could have at least told me your name" she laid on elbow next to him. "And yes to answer your question, I am the princess" she smiled.

Nefie turned towards her cieling trying to think of a way to explain his being there to her father with out getting herself caught. After running through all the ideas she just went with sneaking him out the way she snuck him in. It will be like he never existed. "How well do you feel?" she asked with a devilish grin on her face?

-He looked to her-"The name is Kal and i did plan on introducing my self but after the lued comment i felt a bit insulted."-he said and looked-"Well enough to get up and continue my activites wwell get home any way."-he said and looked to her then the ceiling-"Why do you ask"-he said-

"Well I guess you all aren't bad" she smirked at him. "I'm going to sneak you out the way I got you in here understand?" she gave him a moment to gather himself before checking to make sure the way was clear. She peeked down the hall and saw the guards leaving to do their rounds "now's are chance".

She helped him down the hall and onto the royal gardens headed for her passage out of the palace. She didn't make it to far thought before being caught by a guard with a suspicious feeling. "Who is this?" he remarked. Nefie looking nervous and caught. "Well, um, well. He's a new body guard and he was hurt when protecting my father." she gave it a moment to seek in "I was just taking him to see the garden" she knew it would be hard for the him not to believe it since her father was still away on business.

-Kal stepped forward.-"Alright you Caught me Malhad."-The Guard grew angry.-"Kal You are with the princess WHY."-he looked-'Your Princess was about to be raped and killed twice im trying ot survive not to kill people."-malhad Grabed Kal and kal didn't Struggle.-"You peice of Scum i can finally bring you in you misserable peice of Garbage."-Kal didnt squirm.-"So whats your hurry Put me away kill me what ever yoru gonna do."-But Malhad herd the princess say Stop as Malhad looked to the princess-

"Stop" she yelled grabbing kal herself. "This man is now under my service, He's my personal body guard. You shall not harm him" she stared at Malhad with slight anger. She knew he didn't approve of it. It seems like Kal had quite the reputation with this man.

"I will be telling you father" the guard threatened and walked off. Nefie had a feeling he might be trouble and if he did try to tell her father she would simply play daddy's little girl and get what she wanted. She helped Kal sit down and get comfortable in the garden

-he sighed and looked-"Malhad i should of known he wasn't a ordinary guard he is a palace guard ."-he said-"He has come close to catchign me a few times and with the thief bounty on my head its because of him he put it so hi and for just tryign to survive day by day."-he said-

"Well I'm sorry to hear that" she smiled at him as she started to realize being a street rat wasn't a decision he made but a life had to live." Those days should be over. You're a royal body guard now." she ran her fingers softly against his wounds. "Does this mean I get your bounty? I caught you" she giggled trying to make the situation more light.

-he laughed a bit and looked to her-"Guess you do dont ya."-he laughed a bit more-"ahhh its feels good to be noticed."-he smiled and looked to her-"Princess tell me what if your Father won't allow you to keep me."-he said-

"I don't know I haven't really given it that much thought" she had a puzzled look on her face as she sat back on the small bench. She hadn't really thought about it. What if he doesn't let her keep him. Nefie couldn't let him go back to the streets after all he's done for her. Her father was a grateful man, she could get him to stay on his good deeds alone but that would mean she would have to rat on herself and get in trouble. It was a blow she would have to take "I guess i'll just have to cum clean about my sneaking out, if he knew what happened and how you saved me, he'd be sure to let you stay"
