Eve, thanks for mentioning my poems today, breathless was written really late at night, on my porch after a rain storm, I almost didnt submit it because I thought it was funky, and also thanks for mention eviction of Sinister Toad.
. this brings me to what perks has to say about the inner circle BS that I have heard so much about.
A couple months ago I was ready to leave Lit just because of this very thing. Some one told me that my poetry in fact was crap and the ONLY reason I ever got an H was because I solicited friends to vote for me and if I ever wrote under another name, my stuff wouldnt do worth a damn.
SO, I AM normal jean, I am mia moore and I am tangerine sex dream. None of "us" has ever solicited votes for anything and I resent the hell out of anyone who is so insecure that is his/her/their only excuse for anything good that happens to anyone else is ass kissing for votes. Its sad, and thats all I have to say and hateful anon FB lke I still get and like several other poets have gotten lately just reaffirms what Perks and Boo both have said, its the comments, the reviews that matter, not anonymous cowardly remarks and lo-balling a poem just because of jealousy or whatever.
Thanks to everyone who commented and sent private FB, you all know who you are and you all mean the world to me. And thanks for NOT being afraid to tell me when I make a mistake, Yes a toad is an amphibian, not a reptile
I should known that, well, I did, I just had a brain freeze or somethin...
In fact, I almost always think I need more help than the people who read my stuff suggest, I worry my poems to death sometimes

Just wanted to say thanks for the mentions in the new poem's thread, to the ppl who commented on them. They are my lowest scoring poems for quite a while (not because of low-balling 1 trolls I might add, it looks like honest votes), once again confirming that I'll never be able to forecast reader reactions.
But no, I don't care. Like Maria said, comments and feedback is what counts. I connected with some of you out there, and that's what matters.
And an extra to perks and Euminedes for the comments you've been shoveling out lately on quite a lot of poems. Not only "this is a nice poem" comments, but actual critisism, even on what and why you like.
I'd do that too, if I had brains for brains.

would you all rather I didn't just say
" great job , nice work, great rhyme.....etc etc"
Sometimes It's 3 am and i cant start analyzing shit that early...
if it's meaningless oR offensive to just hear
" great stuff...blah blah blah" lemme know
