Thank you all, Boys and girls - mostly girls (boys usually understand why).
The "old fart" is home from work, and a damned crime it is to work on one's b-day, too. We did some silly little stuff which needed doing, and we didn't kill ourselves.
The day bartender bought me dessert for lunch today, and Chris bought lunch. We do that for each other on our b-days - his is 11 March.
I really do appreciate the fuss - thought I wouldn't. I must be getting soft in the head in my middle age.
